    Using the PVC pipe for runners is a brilliant idea and just stolen for my chicken tractor as well. Cheers.

    Neat concept! We have goats as well and also use a portable fence for rotational grazing. Although they come back to the central paddock at night and my bucks have their own complex. will be interesting in seeing how this continues to work out for you.

    You could use the really large feed containers that cattle feed comes in, just cut out an opening and move them wherever you want, Peace

    It looks very open at the front, how much shelter is there for your buck come Winter with snow and ice?

    • @WildWonderfulOffGrid
      @WildWonderfulOffGrid  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      During winter we attach a tarp covering the entire front. They have an entrance to go in an out as they please on one side- it "flaps" back in place on that side as they come and go. We also bed them down really well with hay.

      @@WildWonderfulOffGrid Thanks, I wondered because they love the woods but aren't they a bit susceptible to the cold? That will give him protection from the White Death building up in his house.

    • @WildWonderfulOffGrid
      @WildWonderfulOffGrid  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! We make sure all our livestock have a windbreak and coverage from snow or freezing rain from entering their shelters 😊

      @@WildWonderfulOffGrid Do you breed your Sheep? Because they tend to want to give birth in the depths of Winter don't they? Well January / February. anyway.

      @@essemsween818 goats have a gestational period of 150 days or approx, 5 months, just like anything else breeding times can be regulated. So say a March breeding will result in July birth.
