I was a three year old in America then, but even I think Wembley is a lot better with natural light way back when.

What a team Everton was .. If Neville Southall wasn't injured, they would have won the double, I'm sure 😮

No politics, no knee taking and proper un-PC banter like it should be. Oh how we long for those days. The football wasn't as great but the times were.

Lol what a hilariously naive comment. You do know this was the final where Liverpool and Everton fans famously and passionately chanted ‘Merseyside’ together in defiance of Thatcher and her “managed decline” of the city? Read up on some history! Liverpool as a fan base, and Everton’s to a lesser extent, were very politicised in this period

I recomend that you read the Tony Evans book ' Two Tribes: Liverpool, Everton and a City on the Brink'. It seems that you know nothing about politics in the uk and especially Liverpool in the 80's. And to be thruthful, it also looks like you know nothing about what is going on in the world at the moment.

@@coatbridgebairn709 You're getting hysterical, calm down. Politics did not pervade the industry of football like it does now. Yes, it was factored in but not at the level like it is now and that is a fact. So relax.

Ghastly all-white crowd. So glad football is more diverse and multicultural. On and off the field.

Yeah! Because they players are better than these guys now. Haha football was best here and I'm 35 and I know that. These players could up their levels at the drop of a hat and always hit the target or win trophies, now, they cant even hit a barn door when required and everything, everything is about money. The football isn't as good as it was then you mean, to correct you.

Johnston was clearly behind the ball when Rush played it towards the goal. So, it was a good goal either way.
