    Easiest way to treat this is to do it early on with a drug to keep the potassium levels in check and a high dose of a certain type of an ACE inhibitor. One nephrologist found out about it and was fired as it actually worked on a bunch of patients. Key is early stage Diabetic Nepropathy before creatinine reaches 2.0. If it gets higher, it is harder to to be treated. If you are Stage IV or V, you are screwed. Keep your diabetic nephropathy in check before your creatinine gets too high, as this treatment could keep you off of Dialysis (a 40 billion USD/year govt welfare fraud scheme.)
