Soo I have been told from a few people that the glycerin molds..Since this is the first time using it I haven’t experienced that myself BUT I will keep an eye on that and update you all as needed. I’m also going to test a few other mixtures🥰

So I also make these cups and use the glue method. You need to add more liquid to the glue one, your getting bubbles because if you shake it, it sloshes around making bubbles. Also its much faster using condiment bottles to fill, so much faster than pippets.
My cups liquid flow slower and suspends the glitter longer.

So thankful for you making this video! I tried the glue and water and I think that with your mixture you may have added too much glue. I have yet to find a good ratio to mix but I've noticed that if I fill up the cups to the max with no room for air pockets, it is a better outcome for the glue mixture. Shaking glue and water is going to give you the bubbly mixture that you are getting here. When the glitter is stuck at the top of the cup I hold it in my palms and shimmy the cup back and fourth quickly and it disperses the liquid into the glitter better. Hope this helps! Thanks again for making this awesome comparison! I really enjoyed it!

Most people do after about a day or so, the solution needs some time to air out depending on which one you go with and typically from the videos I’ve seen, it takes at least 12-24 hours for any bubbles stuck in the glitter to come out to the top so when you come back to the cup the next day you’ll see it’s lower than how you filled it. Then you can add more to your liking. But I know some people like to have a lower amount of liquid like she did

For me , the glycerin clumped up my fine glitter and there were chunks and all of it rose to the top if it sat still . So basically there would be some glitter at the bottom, the middle would be clear and the top would be the glitter (turned into chunks) at the top .
The glue , for me that’s my favorite . I didn’t have any trouble putting the mixture into the cup using a syringe . I filled it up all the way to the top. As much as I possible could do there aren’t as many bubbles . ☺️

Your video was very thorough and informative. It helped me figure out which one I would like to use for my cups. I never heard of using glycerin and that will be the one I use. It does have a neat flow to it and the glitter didn't sink. I did like the contact solution as well. Thank you so much for your time with making this video 🥰

I usually use 70% alcool to do my micca powder mix, maybe it would be a good cost effective method too ? The flow for micca powder is incredible in this , so I don't know about glitter tho 🤔

Question: I tried to make one with glycerin and my question is how far the glass is filled and when it is still the glitter sits, it is normal.

I like the contact solution but wonder if you added like 20% glycerin if that would make a perfect solution.

Will the loctite drip in? I tried using Furntirue bumpers to plug, and they are too big or thick for the cups I use. Without it, my gorilla glue epoxy would drip in and it doesn’t work very well. Will loctite take care of this? Thanks in advance!

I love the glycerin the best. Do you resin coat the decals so they don’t come off?

I have a question…my cups are leaking from the top rim of the tumbler…how do I seal that? So that I don’t lose liquid while sealing the bottom…thanks in advance

Hey when sealing with resin , do you need to wear a mask ask if you would with epoxy ? I’ve never use either but I know epoxy is very toxic ?

Thank you for that video! I tried the baby oil and it was a fail for me! I think it was more to do with the skinny tumbler I had which had limited movement! I ordered the glycerin and super excited for its arrival on Friday! Thank you!!! ❤️❤️❤️

How did it work out on your 2nd go around???

    • @alissaperry4210
      @alissaperry4210 3 ปีที่แล้ว

@@aliciat2216 I used the 50/50 glycerin and water. Used more glycerin if you want a slower movement with your glitter. Also I’ve bought arcrylic cups from Amazon which look exactly like Starbucks but had a hit and miss with it leaking from the rim!!! I tried a Starbucks one surprisingly with no problems. I was so worried with it leaking from the drilled hole but it was the dam rim!

I used UV Resin around the rim to prevent leaks.

So glad you did this. Now I can save money trying to buy all the things to experiment. I’d love to see a video using matte medium paste to make those whip cream lids for hot cocoa drip cups. There just aren’t many available and I need to see multiple people do it before I attempt it.

Glue & water is my fav, I also love glycerin and water. For the glue cup I feel that you used too much glue. But overall, if the cups were degassed and filled a little more they would be gorgeous 👏🏾👏🏾
