Soo I have been told from a few people that the glycerin molds..Since this is the first time using it I haven’t experienced that myself BUT I will keep an eye on that and update you all as needed. I’m also going to test a few other mixtures🥰

So I also make these cups and use the glue method. You need to add more liquid to the glue one, your getting bubbles because if you shake it, it sloshes around making bubbles. Also its much faster using condiment bottles to fill, so much faster than pippets.
My cups liquid flow slower and suspends the glitter longer.

For some reason I’ve never heard of this happening to anybody else but when I use the glycerin for my Starbucks snowglobe and Tumblrs because I have a small business and I sell them I let one sit for a few months before I actually ended up starting my business and the glycerin ended up molding which was really weird because I’ve never heard that happen to anyone else or maybe just people don’t talk about it but I thought it was so odd, now I use like 80% water and 20% glue but I just don’t know how I feel about it I want that super pretty slow flowing make sure without it being bubbly or molding

    • @crissycreatesofficial

I’m so sorry that happened to you. It’s actually pretty common from what I’ve heard but I personally have not have it happen to me. I would try again using distilled water and glycerin and see if that helps. I’ve also head of some people adding a small amount of alcohol to their water. I can’t confirm for sure if it will work for you but those are some methods I’ve seen others talking about.

Has anyone tried making these tumblers with mineral oil? I'm looking to make one of these tumblers, and I'm wondering what would be the best solution for the liquid. Thanks!
With watching this tutorial, I can see that I'm going to try using a syringe to insert the liquid in the tumbler. I think it would be easier. You have to have EXTREME patience. That glue would have driven me batty! 😂 I would also use distilled Water and possibly a preservative that can be used in water. Any time you use water, it can mold, and with all the work that goes into these, I don't want mold. 😳

Most people do after about a day or so, the solution needs some time to air out depending on which one you go with and typically from the videos I’ve seen, it takes at least 12-24 hours for any bubbles stuck in the glitter to come out to the top so when you come back to the cup the next day you’ll see it’s lower than how you filled it. Then you can add more to your liking. But I know some people like to have a lower amount of liquid like she did

I love all your videos and this one was so helpful! I’ve been getting ready to start snow globe tumblers and out of all the videos I’ve watched on the different methods, nobody has done one video comparing all the different methods at once, so thank you for making this! And thank you for using the same cups and glitter for all the methods so we can really get a good comparison of how each method looks when finished, the perfect way to compare. Now I am off to make my own tumblers, thanks again for such a great video!

@@draginlowpos I use 50/50 to start with. You can add more of either one as you go. If want better flow add extra glycerin and if you want more clarity add more contact solution.

So thankful for you making this video! I tried the glue and water and I think that with your mixture you may have added too much glue. I have yet to find a good ratio to mix but I've noticed that if I fill up the cups to the max with no room for air pockets, it is a better outcome for the glue mixture. Shaking glue and water is going to give you the bubbly mixture that you are getting here. When the glitter is stuck at the top of the cup I hold it in my palms and shimmy the cup back and fourth quickly and it disperses the liquid into the glitter better. Hope this helps! Thanks again for making this awesome comparison! I really enjoyed it!

I have used both the glycerin and water and glue and water and both work great! The key to the glue and water is using 1/4 glue to 3/4 water ratio, rather than the 50/50 like the glycerin.

For me , the glycerin clumped up my fine glitter and there were chunks and all of it rose to the top if it sat still . So basically there would be some glitter at the bottom, the middle would be clear and the top would be the glitter (turned into chunks) at the top .
The glue , for me that’s my favorite . I didn’t have any trouble putting the mixture into the cup using a syringe . I filled it up all the way to the top. As much as I possible could do there aren’t as many bubbles . ☺️

I agree!! I just tried the glue and water and I like it but I think I could have used more glue. I haven't found a legit ratio of glue to water so I'm testing waters. I also fill up my tumblers to the max, no room for air pockets whatsoever. I don't like that way they look half full of liquid. What ratio have you been successful with the glue and water mixture? thanks!!

I watched someone else do this and what they said was that there is a lot of air in the glitter so once you shake it up by putting your finger over the hole let it settle, add more liquid to top and repeat a few times until there is no more space for liquid
