While I still haven't gotten the Blooddrinker drop on live to verify myself, multiple people have now confirmed to me that the lifesteal no longer works off of DoTs or persistent AoE. This makes the artifact significantly weaker and takes away pretty much any unique use case it had. The base damage aspect still applies, but that by itself isn't valuable enough imo.
I got it and testet it with my DoT bow build, dots dont Work enymore sadly, i have put it off again, becous i was hoping its perfekt for my dot build but no they changet it from ptr
i got mine really early and its legit been so helpful i use it on my farming sets to sustain while out and about its such a useful ring in the main set and the farming sets

Since the 50% Resi Cap doesnt seem to apply, when you surpass it with Gems (speedrunners say), having an amulet + maxing out the Resistances with Gems is huge for survivability in M3s. I got my hands already on the Amulet for Fire Resistance that you can get with Dense Empyrian Forge Materia. I need Empowered on my amulet as well, which makes it really hard to get cheap pieces. You can get Nature Protection on a different Amulet via Dense Materia, but it doesnt have empowered. Maybe I just need to buy expensive pieces anyways, but I will look through the DB for some pieces I might be able to farm myself, that can roll Empowered on it as well.
In arena, I run this on bow/rapier and and the sustain is insane. I can 1v3 and face roll anyone I want with rapier. I do feel the damage nerf a little, but the sustain on it outweighs that in my mind. I do lose to really tanks builds though.
I see this ring on a dot kite build, you get so much life by just running away :D think it will be awesome on bruiser and for every solo boss/portal farming

In my language, it is explicitely said on every lifestealing perks that it doesn't procs from DoTs. I would assume that this artifact being able to lifesteal from DoTs was explicitely a bug and it was doomed to be removed.
This is CRACKED with finisher rapier blood build and SPEAR FUCKN CRACKED.. the int scaling and the burst damage off FLurish makes up for any damage losss
I was saying before this was even obtainable this feels like it will break the game but, any kind of DPS will just be able to sustain life for an insane amount of time in both PVE and PVP
This ring is meant for PVE dps "aoe archetypes", like GA or GS. This ring only has value since you can heal from AOEs only with it now. The damage tradeoff seems fair imo and will make life easier for healers
something i hope you could shed some light on, if you know about it: for the Finisher rapier, whats better, a diamond for more physical damage or an elemental gem? and in total about the rapier: does "finish" deal equal damage with such elemental gems? i still dont understand it all and aint sure how it works...
Funny enough, 4dps 1heal setup is not actually that bad if you can out dps most of dungeon mechanics and with this ring it wouldnt be surprising to run 5 self sustained DPS for dungeons now. The tank and heal role may actually become even less important. Also I can already see meme builds going into OutpostRush, specially with flail tank where flail will heal 5% hp on block + this rin and stacked selfheal from DMG perks😅
Do you know if an Artifact Drops…. And you don’t pick up the bag (lifetake on the other side of rock), and the bag despawns, will you be able to get the drop again???
could see this popping off in arti vg build with passive disentegrate uptime. honestly curious how a arti vg/BB build with blooddrinker would be. won't have much escape, but you probably wont die much either.
this is my current build. not fully vested into lifetealing and need a new bb but its an insanely fun support build, not so much a stat padding build haha
? Please: Is it true that you can constantly change the last perk on artifacts. i.e.. shirking heals, then a month later, say change it to freedom or something else. Thank you for all the videos. They are fantastic!! 😊
As a healer, this makes winning a 1v1 impossible bec my DMG is not high enough. Usually PvP as a healer ist garbage anyway. Versus tanky builds nobody dies and you cant catch anyone if they are running.

I imagine for solo players its good, but in a party with a dedicated healer the damage penalty is not worth the lifesteal… dead enemys don‘t deal damage so no heals needed
I really don't like that Artifacts are locked to mutations with a cap. If you are unlucky you will have to wait a month or so for a second chance :/. Got 3 more tries then capped for the week and no ring.
I think the issue is the over abundance of healing and under abundance of anti-healing options. Buff plagued strikes/crits to 50% so we can counter healers. Add a new Armor perk that applies anti heal on attack?? Put a new gem in that adds anti heal on attack. Why do AGS have no clue how to balance a game?
I mean just because +base dmg perks exist that doesn't mean the -25% dmg doesn't minus 25% damage. This is such a weird take. If you had 130% dmg due to perks and now wear this ring and have 105% dmg, in what universe did you not just lose 25% dmg? XD wtf I still think the ring is great tho, just a weird way to argue math imo.

Flamethrower still works on it. The rest of the persistent damage no longer works. I'm assuming it's gotta be bugged if that is the case.

If it was 10% damage reduction. It would be better. Otherwise people would rather stack lifesteal, leeching, and trenchant recovery.

Yeah it appears that both the DoT and persistent AoE lifesteal were removed, very unfortunate.
Yeah we were having too much fun. Which is why I will never purchase the expansion. Many reasons.

Don't do that it's not worth it! , when I tried on PTR was lifesteal on all abilities. Now is just damage. I think is just useless.

Got this on my first SSB run. Really enjoying having it after unlocking a couple of the perks. Love healing for ~600-900 a hit with this build.

That with hatchet berserker would be nice damage and self heals with great axe as well

i feel its fine for pve, but bad for pvp while we also have shrieking heals etc.
Final perk: Keen or Slash dmg? Running GS/BB. Keen benefits both weapons, but slash could be good as well, I’m using artifact GS.

If u need to heal as dps ur probably already dead in m3, there is no valuable use case of it in pve

this ring is crazy for tanking. im running 300 STR and 300 Con with it and im getting 1k+ self heals when attacking in packs in dungeons.
You'd be better of just using Ankh as a tank, its fucking busted beyond belief.
