i have a similar laprop with broken screen, could you please share the method that you use to see your bios/boot os screens in an external monitor ?
@@oussamakarem5744 just connect it to external screen via hdmi and press f2 to go into boot menu worked for me. Then configured boot screen to come on f12. But think there may be issue if you have a gpu. I have had the issue on acer nitro 5.
Can we have remote turn on and off the server if it is not required
I can’t think of any trivial solution to this. If you close how to turn on again. Remotely. And if the server works only in local environment why require to turn it on again. Though very interesting. I will try to build something for this. I was thinking of ways to control server remotely.
@@DailyDriver-dw1dp Thanks for your reply,I am planning to reuse and build my 10 year old laptop as home cloud storage
and media server. In this, the server is not required to run 24*7 . If I am going to do some activities or process then I will turn on the server remotely and once the process is done ,I will turn off
@@demmonscreation6654 you can turn off remotely. Just can’t turn on remotely. You can use command “sudo poweroff” to shut down remotely
