Im speaking about the tip, and an ordinary grease tip encapsulates the grease nipple, holding on with 3-5 flanges that are recessed but clamp around the nipple as it slides past them. It's a standardized adapter. A fitting with decent internal pressure would struggle to take grease with the first one
Ok now get a piece of equipment with a recessed zerk and see if it fits in the hole. Never does and I always return back to normal grease gun fittings.
I just learned this... lol told lead mechanic about it, he laughed as I walked away. Even grabbed standard grease gun fitting out of the trash and when I came back ten minutes later he helped me throw it back on lol
@@toolsforwork Not knocking the design its alot more solid then most locking attachments I've seen, if it could be made considerably smaller i would happily buy several but at this size it wouldn't be useful for the tight spaces where locking attachments are necessary. As it stands I could only access around half of the grease nipples on my grain truck or combine due to the size it simply won't fit. Especially when it comes to tight angles.
These are rated to 10,000psi can tell you for a fact / post a video that these do not even under 20lbs I have a tree company with over 40 trucks/chippers that need daily greasing
