    This is the old traditional Lebanese Dabke....This was one of our first dances that we learned about 3 years ago. We are a traveling group and preform at weddings and other events.

  • @husseinyouneiss
    @husseinyouneiss 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    true, in general dabke is the art of stomping your feet to the ground at a certain pace, but that dosnt deny that there is much more creative dabke than this

  • @marksum1
    @marksum1 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    I WANT TO LEARN THIS DANCE AS WELL

  • @IAMTUBIN
    @IAMTUBIN 14 ปีที่แล้ว

    THIS IS PURELY DABKEH, I am Muslim Palestinian, but I give respects to all arab out there that do Dabkeh, as well as whoever else wants to learn it and know about it, but Traditional Dabkeh is what made Dabkeh 1st. We shouldn't be comparing & dissing out each other. As much as I love my culture, I keep it as smooth as possible. I teach both traditiona l& modern dabkeh along with traditional & modern Music. Dabkeh is KILLA! I love exposing the Arab Culture especially because I am Palestinian

  • @MuhendisElDabkeh
    @MuhendisElDabkeh 12 ปีที่แล้ว

    basics are important so good stuff!, gettin fancy is all about freestyling first hopefully I will be posting up tutorial videos some day as I planned for a couple years now lol, it's time consumption that makes it hard for me especially because I edit videos and want to make sure it's informational and produced well, I don't have that time anymore

  • @wolfperson1
    @wolfperson1 16 ปีที่แล้ว

    ... I was just in Lebanon, and no one danced the dabke like that. Maybe that's the formal way or the professional way or something, but watching it there? It was less complicated and more alive. No offense, you put a ton of work into that dance. It shows and it's awesome, but my family (and other families I saw in Lebanon) just didn't do the debke like that.

    I keep getting people saying this is dabke and this is not dabke. this is a very old traditional dance, if you research it, it was done like this. this is not a modern dance nor is it the dance where you hold hands in a circle. this is dabke people need to get there facts straight Lebanese or not

    Whether theyre muslim or not, they can dance. Im guessing you have never done the dabke before? I always se plenty of veiled women doing the dabke. Does that mean theyre all going to hell because theyre in a dabke line?
    Anyway, thanks for the vid, its nice to see where things like this originated from, although i do like the current one better :P
