The live performance gave me chills! I have heard her so much on the radio but never looked at the music video until today and then this one immediately after! It brings a whole new level of amazing. Everyone in the audience was on the same wavelength too, like a Queen Bee and her workers. A Hive mind of pure vibes 😂❤
The fact this woman isn't a star is proof of how the industry chews up and spits people out. She doesn't have the ideal look, she just had one song so good and catchy it couldn't be ignored. Now people get annoyed of the song on the radio. But have they seen her perform live? This charisma and stage presence isn't a one hit wonder. This is someone who the industry chose to ignore.
I say this as someone who mostly listens to alternative rock so this is definitely outside of my norm. But true talent cannot and should not be denied. This woman has it in spades.

I first heard this song on a taxi radio in KL, Malaysia in late Jan after a holiday, when I was on the way to the airport heading back to China, where Covid had just broken out. It was a dreadful day but the song brought me a smile. I memorised part of the lyrics and added it in my playlist when I got home. It was one of two songs that accompanied me through the initial lockdown, the other was 'We'll Meet Again' which the Queen mentioned in her speech. Now it has been over 4 years, the world has not become a better place post-pandemic and I'm still stuck in this depressing country after some years abroad, listening to it again bring me more tears and smiles.

The studio version still uses pitch correcting tools. Most singers have talent but it doesn't mean they don't use it for the studio versions.
