We need a new group of Rabelaisian readers to emerge! Amongst my friends of philosophy, art, and literature, not enough seem to have spent time in the writings of Rabelais.

More than Petrarch, Dante or even Shakespeare, Rabelais is the quintessential Renaissance man. He embodies the spirit of getting drunk on knowledge and learning. He popularized the idea of constantly growing and experiencing life in the most pleasurable way imaginable. "Do what thou wilst" he said and sent the reader out to follow his passions. His writing contain everything I love about life
