WARNING: Spam trolls are answering some of your comments saying that you've won! It is SPAM and a PHISHING attempt. Do NOT REPLY! I will randomly select ONE winner Monday, February 27 at 8am PST and announce it here and in a pinned comment, and on the community page.
I will simply say that because of you, I went from 0 fountain pens to 40 (shared with girlfriend). I'm still a student without a lot of money to burn, but you made me realize that I could still collect extraordinary pens without costing a fortune. I started with Chinese pens and am now restoring old vintage pens because of you. Oh, and Bingo.
Doug, you and your channel are the moment, you're giving us everything. The other channels are giving us nothing. There simply aren't enough words to convey how much I love this channel.
How are you Doug? Well, I like a lot of things on your videos: 1st. you show budget chinese fountain pens, 2nd. comparisons are pretty cool and 3rd. writing samples are honest... Videos are fun also... Thanks. BINGO
My dear Doug you and your channel are as beautiful as the breath of the wind that passes through the branches of a tree that brightens my summer days, as beautiful as the sun that warms and calms my autumn afternoons, as splendid as the ink that flies on the blank page making my thoughts indelible and eternal. Matteo
Doug, your Asvine V126 review helped me decide to make the Asvine 126 my first Vac Filler pen. I received my Translucent Blue Asvine V126 today 8-17-24 and I am thrilled very happy with it. I had to follow your "complete fill" instruction a few times but other than that I have a great pen. The medium nib is very smooth and buttery right out of the box!!!! It show off the Private Reseve American Blue Ink really well. Thank you for your reviews
I find it difficult to fathom that over your channels lifetime someone somewhere sat down watched a video not a hundred times, not a thousand, not a million but two million times. That's phenomenal! Congratulations, I find this almost as difficult to fathom as a game of bingo.
Congrats on 2 million views!! It makes sense, you're one of the few pen channels that's willing to openly state when you don't like something. Keep the hot takes coming! Bingo!
That Asvine V126 is truly a lovely pen. I had never thought of adding a vac-filler to my small collection, but this is the pen that could well make me change my mind. Now to fill the free space and cry Bingo!
Been so busy I haven't been able to keep up with pen stuff as I used to, but what a lovely pen! Love the color :D I find that I enjoy the cheaper style Chinese pens lately more than any of them I've spent some moola on. My absolute favorite to write with is the Jinhao 80 with a Bobby nib, followed by the Jinhao 51a with a Bobby nib as well lol. Always planned on checking out an Asvine pen too, just haven't gotten to it. Thank you for the generosity of the giveaway and grats big time on the 2 mill! Uno! Oh wait no, BINGO!
It's good to know about parts compatibility between different brands. What I like about your channel is that in addiction to the good humor, the pens shown are within reach of many .
It's always nice to see vac fillers at affordable prices. nice classic design, nothing too fancy but it's not too simple a interchangeable nib is always a plus. Fantastic review as always, Just wait till you hit 2 billion views you deserve it. Bingo
I just got this pen today, it comes pretty close to a custom 823 except for the nib. I still like the fit & finnish of the 823 better but for a tenth of the price, this pen is an absolute winner.
Brand new viewer, long time pen-junkie, but just recently started getting back into fountain pens & have been going back & forth over a vacuum filler & this video helped me to decide. Can't wait for my order to arrive!
A quick shoutout to say thanks for the awesome giveaway you're currently hosting. It's super cool of you to offer something like that to your viewers, and I'm having a blast participating. You're the best! Thanks again, and Bingo!
Doug, the balance of humor and information in your videos is 2nd to none, so congratulations on the 2M views! I don't own any vac-fillers because there's always been something that makes those pens unappealing to me - the price, or the looks, or the building quality. But, bingo, I think Asvine has a winner on their hands with this one. 😀
Sycophant is spelled "sick" like "sicko" and "phant" like Elle E. And your channel is one of my go tos, and I credit you with at least half the Jinhao's on my desk, so thank you for all you do, and congrats on 2M views! BINGO
Love your videos and all the interspersions. I'm so informed by watching them that when I spot something on sale I have no hesitation in knowing when to say Bingo!
I don't see Asvine as an extension of Moonman/Majohn. I believe Esybuy wanted to have their own brand. They are using some of the suppliers that PenBBS/Moonman/Narwhal/etc use but the design is theirs. I will not add the secret word as I have a V126 & I LOVE it too.
Thanks Chris. Your review was terrific as always. I didn't know the brown one was clear and that is the reason for the lower price. That's a good point about Sally wanting her own brand. Could be. I should ask her. :) The V126 is the best pen from China yet this year. I ordered two more.
Marvelous presentation. Nicely detailed review. Great comparison. Wonderful presenter. Did I do well? It is certainly a pen I would consider. As I have the Nahvalur Original Plus, it is great I see this pen will post, not that I will but it is a nice option that others do not do. I do not have a Medium nib, so I would love to use it. I have asa-gao ink, with is pen will match with the ink quite well. Thank you again for a wonderful video, Doug. BINGO!
Greetings from the vegetable-and-fruit-bare UK! Great review as always, Doug; thank you for everything you put out - great entertainment! That Moonvalurine pen looks lovely! Bingo!
In truth, I really enjoy these videos Doug and in large part that's due to your personality. But the videos are also full of useful and practical information that has inspired me to purchase four pens that I would not otherwise own, each one of which cost me less than ten bucks (US) including shipping. So thanks so much and BINGO.
Having just started collecting fountain pens after receiving one as a gift in December, I would love to add this pen to my collection. Thank you for the awesome videos and BINGO
Hi Doug...here I am all the way from you as I live in a city in Kansas (mid-USA) called Leawood. As a compliment to you, I watch everything you create here on TH-cam as I no longer watch TV anymore. TH-cam is my new friend for knowledge and entertainment. A wealth of information and pleasure right on my keyboard and available anytime day or night! And...contrats on TWO Million views! Wow! I enjoy your sense of humor and facts about fountain pens. You're a great presenter! And in closing, I'll simply say BINGO !
I'm just now getting into fountain pens again, after a 4-year hiatus, and I'm glad I found your channel, it's been really helpful to revive this hoby. Bingo!
wow. I gotta get one of these. This was just the type of review I was looking for, and most importantly, it wasn't sponsored by Asvine showing this is an honest review.
Doug, you’re beard is epic! I like this little pen, the finish is outstanding. I have a blue 699 but will grab one of these, it looks more refined. Thank is for keeping us entertained. We hit Bingo!
Hey Doug, you trully are wonderful and your channel is amazing! No but really, I've never had a fountain pen before. I watch your videos frequently because I like your voice and the way you explain things! Now I'm tempted to buy an E95S (because of your reviews) and a custom 74! Thank you for your service! Bingo!
I love your videos, they are fun and informative. I just started getting into fountain pens in Oct of 2022 and I love to watch your videos during work as I work from home and work is normally quiet it gives me lots of time to learn as much as I can about fountain pens! No matter how many videos I watch I always learn something new. I have yet to add a Vac filler to my growing collection but I do plan to get one at some point. I do love the color of the Asvine V126 Vac-filler as blue is my favorite color lol! It's not a surprise that your videos make learning about fountain pas enjoyable as you used to be a teacher and I believe that you would have been the kind of teacher who is remembered by past students for years to come, they say that great teachers are hard to find but in my personal opinion you are in fact a great teacher. You can tell by watching your videos that you really love fountain pens and I believe that your videos helped me to fall in love with fountain pens as well so I want to say thank you for opening the door for me and BINGO!
Love the look of this Asvine. I recently purchased the Asvine P30 and absolutely fell in love with how well it wrote. I'm not independently wealthy lol so when I saw the P30 I just had to have it. Love the videos and reviews. It's because of you that I have the small collection that I do today.
Wow Doug we have such a big community. It's all ur efforts, u make such comedy editing in the videos that makes it not just a pen review but a short humours movie. That leaves me to say Bingo... such a fun..
I was interested in the first Asvine P20 because of its design, however I'm a big fan of posting my pens and that model wasn't great at it and BINGO! the Asvine 126 looks just as good and posts even better! I might be getting one of them soon.
Doug, I want to thank you for continuing to make videos about fountain pens which are not luxury pens but functional and affordable for those of us who may not be able to afford the luxury brands all the time. I can collect a nice looking, working fountain pen because you show these pens and Instead of buying blindly I have the knowledge from your review to know how the pen works and writes. I can enjoy collecting fountain pens even on a tight budget because of your reviews of them. I love to collect fountain pens, but being without a normal budget that a working person has I must save to get the luxury pen that I want. You alone are the one I trust to get accurate information about a pen I want to buy, because you are so thorough and think of everything, down to taking pens apart and comparing parts within. I have seen NOBODY else on TH-cam that does that! Doug, thank you again for another perfect pen review! You know my comments are often long-winded and well, just long. I am editing this by adding that this comment is my natural way of commenting, and not sycophantic in any way. I only write what is true, you have been the one I go to for advice always! also forgot to congratulate you on 2 MILLION VIEWS FOR YOU!! The Soup Nazi in me says: "LOTSA SOUP FO YOU!" CONGRATS DOUG, WAY TO GO!!! 🎊😁😁😁 BINGO!
BTW the V126 also exist in clear transparent, but all the other colors are indeed in frosted finish (clear/white, blue, green, amber, grey/black). I own the clear transparent and it looks really great with shimmer ink. I also like very much the V169 but of course it is much heavier with all the metal. Great review as always (is it sufficiently sycophantic? 😂). At the moment my right hand is recovering from a surgery so I’m unable to write (and yes I’ve tried my left hand, and no it does not work for me…) so all I can do is watch videos about pens…
Great review as always. I'm pleased that these are all using the same mechanism, should be easy and cheap to get a hold of parts if there's ever a failure. If I win, I promise to say BINGO on every fill.
Well, what can I say... The Inquiring Mind of yours have, quietly, inspired me into this world! I am slowly building my collection and already have 5 pens! I will receive my PenBBS494 tomorrow, beautiful demonstrator pen! Next in line will be the PenBBS456 (my first vacum Filler) and after that the jinhao 80! Great video sir, may also check this beautiful pen! Greetings from Portugal!
This is possibly the best pen reviewing site. I’ve been using fountain pens since the late 1950s. My personal favorite is a Parker 75 that I purchased in 1972. It still writes like a charm. I must admit though that I’ve become some what addicted to the Chinese fountain pens that are currently on the market although my better half insists I have too many. Keep up the good work Doug. BINGO.
I've been really impressed with the quality of Chinese pens over the past couple years Asvine (Hongdian) and Mahjon (Moonman) have been putting out excellent pens at their price point. Add the ability to nib swap some of them to something of a higher quality, and you've got a great pen with the same writing experience as a pen worth much more.
New subscriber here. I like the depth of your reviews, certainly I learn a lot of the fountain pens you are reviewed and help me tremendously in my new purchases. I'm not new to fountain pens but I used them a lot of in my elementary and middle school then came the switch to roller pens and my cursive went to hell👺. Now I'm coming back to them with that nostalgic sentiment of a time when good and smooth writing was important. It is relaxing and all the time I gravitate to the container were I keep my pens, inks and good paper. Thank you for your time is appreciated. Ohh. Bingo
Once again a review that answers all my questions before I ask them. Love that matte finish on my favorite style pen, a cigar shape. Thanks for the info on other pens that use the same size nib unit for ease of changing nib sizes. BINGO
I've been hearing about this brand for while now, but didn't consider getting one because I'm not fond of the metal housing. But this new translucent cigar pen is enticing. Thanks! Bingo.
I think I'm going to have to buy one of these, maybe in the brown color. These Chinese pens are very hard to resist at this price point. There just isn't much risk involved. Thanks for the review, Doug! Bingo!
I had a Twsbi vac, then my wife made her own traveler’s notebook cover and my twsbi vac went away. Honestly I look forward to videos every week, shorties and regular. When I spot it: BINGO!🎉
Congratulations on 2M views, Doug! I really enjoy your reviews, and appreciate when you go in depth regarding the more complicated filling systems and how to disassemble them (I'm not very mechanically-minded lol). I love my Asvine V169 so it's nice to see a lighter vacuum-filler made by them with the same kind of smooth-writing nib. I'm glad they made the acrylic frosted, as opposed to clear plastic; that little detail sets them apart from the pack, at least in that regard. Here's to millions and millions of more views on your fine YT channel! 👏🥳🎉
Congratulations on over 2 million views. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 My husband and I love your reviews, your an amazing entertainer and story teller. We totally enjoy the movie clips you added in your reviews. Making your videos even more entertaining. After watching this review on the Asvine V126 and how to use Vac-Fillers, it maybe a new acquisition for us. Thank you for the info and laughs.
Thanks so much for this review!! I purchased a fine nib pen from this brand based on your review, and I was so impressed I just purchased a second one!!
Congratulations on reaching 2 million views! Thank you for another great review. I'm adding this to my want list which is getting really long as I watch your videos. Bingo!🖋
HaHa … I love your short film clips, guitar playing etc. and the way you change things up a bit , nice you’re not reading a script, ( if so, good job 😂) making it so natural your own personality comes through… you always point out ( talk about) interesting things and new things I didn’t know … also you’re very good about talking about Pens that we can actually afford … not just want😊 lol Bingo !!
Congrats on 2M. Thanks for another great review. I appreciate the observation that many of these models share the same innards - investing in a PenBBS parts bag will keep most of these running for a while. BINGO.😊
Thanks for your insightful videos. (Worth to mention that I liked that funny Clinteastwood part, it made my day!) Your review on Pilot E95S (or Elight) motivated me to get a real Japanese made pilot with Elite written on it (avoided the korean made one). This vid on these pens was also insightful. Congrats on reaching a millstone! Thanks Bingo!
Thanks for helping me along with this hobby! I’ve bought several of your recommendations so far, enough to gift a few “inkquiring” students one of the pens I haven’t inked in some time. Bingo.
Another great review, Doug. Total plus that all of these vac fillers have interchangeable parts. I have a Narwhal Original + and totally agree with you about the posting issue of its cap. Fortunately, it's large enough that unposted it writes very comfortably. Good luck to all. Bingo!
Hmmmm... I should wait to comment until after the video is over - but then I'd forget my question!! Thanks for these reviews and your responses to questions - Bingo!!
I Much Appreciate, Sir, Your Checking Out Pens Hilariously Accentuating Naughty Tidbits. Seriously, though, nice vid, Doug. Just earlier this week, I ordered the Asvine V126 in blue with chrome hardware (along with the Jinhao X850 from one of last weekend’s videos).
I would like to say, in true sycophantic fashion, how wonderful you are and how great your channel is! Seriously, I do love the channel and your personality and as a bonus I also find it very informative. Love your content and look forward to each new upload. On a parting note, Bingo!
Congratulations on the 2M views. Thanks to you I recently decided to pull the trigger on a Waterman Carene. I couldn't be happier with it. Also, I love the way your channel treats all fountain pens equally regarding of their country of origin. Oh and I almost forgot....Bingo!! Keep up the good work.
I look forward to Saturday mornings in anticipation of a new pen review by you. This pen looks like a real winner, which I hope to be in this giveaway. Bingo!
Doug your expertise and knowledge about pens, giving fair reviews on pens irrespective of cost or from which country they originated from and of course your skills to talk with humour and at the same time giving good professional display of pens and features is what makes your channel so special..great quality videos with music, display always tempt me to buy new pens 😅..Bingo!

Gotcha!! :)
my asvine v126 nib perfectly aligns with pin when closed. Even with f nib it literally glides on paper. Gorgeous pen....🤩

Wow, thank you
After looking at other vac fillers for a long time, you've sold me on this Moomahasvine. Yep, by the end of the video I said "Bingo!"
Thank you, MaryAnne !

I got hooked on the guitar intros before the pen videos. I’m a sucker for a 3 series Rickenbacker. Love the videos.

They just came out with a transparent teal color. I just got it in the mail and it is stunning. This is a great pen
Awesome!
wow. I gotta get one of these. This was just the type of review I was looking for, and most importantly, it wasn't sponsored by Asvine showing this is an honest review.
Thank you!
@@InkquiringMinds your welcome. I have been looking for an affordable vac-filler
That shade of blue goes really well with the gold hardware! Bingo :)

2 M views WOW Congratulations Mr D.R. You are Awesome and your Channel is such fun. It's like winning the Bingo when a new video pops up. Mic drop LOL
You're in!
That is awesome!
BINGO.
Thanks, James!
Congratulations on reaching 2M views, and thank you for the giveaway!! Bingo
Agreed! I've bought five new Chinese pens this winter, and all of them are really nice writers, and punch way above their cost
Thanks for sharing, Pope Charles IV!
Ohh. Bingo
Thank you so much, Alberto! And welcome to Inkquiring Minds! :)
Once again a review that answers all my questions before I ask them. Love that matte finish on my favorite style pen, a cigar shape. Thanks for the info on other pens that use the same size nib unit for ease of changing nib sizes. BINGO
Right on!
I've been hearing about this brand for while now, but didn't consider getting one because I'm not fond of the metal housing. But this new translucent cigar pen is enticing. Thanks! Bingo.
Hey Doug, You did it again. Congratulations on achieving one more milestone. Bingo!!
Thank you kindly
Congratulations Doug! 2 million views -- well earned -- Bingo!
Thank you, Amy!
Congratulations on the 2 M views, It should feel like winning the BINGO!
Congratulations on the 2 million views Doug! 🎊 🎉 Here’s to 2 million more! 🎉
Thank you, Javi C!
I think I'm going to have to buy one of these, maybe in the brown color. These Chinese pens are very hard to resist at this price point. There just isn't much risk involved. Thanks for the review, Doug! Bingo!
Love my Asvine I got last year. Hoping to order one of these soon. Great review as always!
Thank you so much, M.a.j.a!
@@InkquiringMinds You're welcome, Doug!
Thank you so much!!
Thanks so much for this review!! I purchased a fine nib pen from this brand based on your review, and I was so impressed I just purchased a second one!!
Glad it was helpful!
Congratulations on reaching 2 million views! Thank you for another great review. I'm adding this to my want list which is getting really long as I watch your videos. Bingo!🖋
Awesome! Thank you!
HaHa … I love your short film clips, guitar playing etc. and the way you change things up a bit , nice you’re not reading a script, ( if so, good job 😂) making it so natural your own personality comes through… you always point out ( talk about) interesting things and new things I didn’t know … also you’re very good about talking about Pens that we can actually afford … not just want😊 lol
Bingo !!
Thank you Terri!
Get chance and luck
All that said, I recently have been using fountain pens and occasionally watch your relaxing videos about them.
Thanks for sharing!
Congrats on 2M. Thanks for another great review. I appreciate the observation that many of these models share the same innards - investing in a PenBBS parts bag will keep most of these running for a while. BINGO.😊
Thanks for watching!
Congratulations on 2M 🎉 Thank you for all the insightful and hilarious fountain pen content, Mr. Bingo!
Thanks for your insightful videos. (Worth to mention that I liked that funny Clinteastwood part, it made my day!)
Your review on Pilot E95S (or Elight) motivated me to get a real Japanese made pilot with Elite written on it (avoided the korean made one).
This vid on these pens was also insightful.
Congrats on reaching a millstone!
Thanks
Bingo!
Thank you, Navid msj!
Thanks for helping me along with this hobby! I’ve bought several of your recommendations so far, enough to gift a few “inkquiring” students one of the pens I haven’t inked in some time. Bingo.
Greateful as ever for your TH-cam channel contribution to us all fountain penthusiasts.
I am not surprised that more of us enlist & keep at it.🎉💐
Thank you very much!
@@InkquiringMinds Thank you!
I bought the Asvine P20 after your review, and it's my 2nd favorite pen of 2022 (behind the Jinhao X159). This new Asvine looks great, as well!
Good choice!
Another great review, Doug. Total plus that all of these vac fillers have interchangeable parts. I have a Narwhal Original + and totally agree with you about the posting issue of its cap. Fortunately, it's large enough that unposted it writes very comfortably. Good luck to all. Bingo!
I am a sucker for a frosted pen such as this. Very curious to see how the translucent white looks on camera also! Bingo
Cool pen! I like the translucent blue.
My husband and I enjoy watching your very informative videos. Congratulations on 2 million! BINGO
HI CLAUDIA! (hi warren)
Like you I too am hoping more finishes arrive, however, I wouldn't toss a blue one aside from my stable either...Bingo
I was holding off on getting one of these, but now that you have blessed it I’m sure available stocks will dry up quickly. Off to Amazon I go! Bingo
Awesome! Thanks GLC!
Thanks Doug for all your fountain pens reviews. Your videos are fun to watch . Keep up this good job. Well done Sir.
Hmmmm... I should wait to comment until after the video is over - but then I'd forget my question!! Thanks for these reviews and your responses to questions - Bingo!!
Your contents is not only informative but also fun~~~ : Thanks for making your videos.
I appreciate that!
Thank you so much, Oscar!
This review is outstanding! Though I recently purchased the Original Plus, I am seriously considering the Asvine. Bingo!
I like it better than the Nahvalur!
CONGRATULATIONS ON 2 MILLION VIEWS!!!! I love your humor lol. Also why is this pen so beautiful??? I didn't expect this on my 2023 pen bingo.
I would like to say, in true sycophantic fashion, how wonderful you are and how great your channel is! Seriously, I do love the channel and your personality and as a bonus I also find it very informative. Love your content and look forward to each new upload. On a parting note, Bingo!
Thank you, Robert!
Good choice!
Great Review by the best pen reviewer on You Tube. I don't need this pen, but will probably buy one now.
Wow, thanks!
Thank you Doug, I learn a lot from watching your videos. I am new to fountain pens and appreciate your videos.
Thank you so much, Laura Jean!
@@InkquiringMinds BINGO! You tricky guy!!
I look forward to Saturday mornings in anticipation of a new pen review by you. This pen looks like a real winner, which I hope to be in this giveaway. Bingo!
Fingers crossed!
Enjoy the knowledgeable and entertaining reviews and also the guitar solos and vocal accompaniments. Keep them coming.
Bingo
Thanks, will do!
I'm seriously considering buying this pen. Supposed I'm not going to win it, it that case it would be bingo!
Thank you so much, Vivek Singh!
Randomly commenting about how fabulous this channel is! 😋 Very pretty blue on this V126, just regretting for purchasing the brown one :/ Bingo!
