The whistling and jeering did not seem to bother littler when he was winning. It’s part of the game now but the English players do not take it as well as the others due the major tournaments being played in England they get it a lot less than everyone else. Littler showed his immaturity here

So I'm visually impaired but I can still see well enough to enjoy this amazing display of top level darts. My favorite player has to be snakebite because he is hands down the easiest person for me to identify. Thank God for individuality of expression.

I agreed until he started the tournament using some other set of useless darts but he switched back to the darts he was using in New Zealand and then started hitting again but he did have a lot of luck but you always need that

For anybody saying the PDC should stop whistling in darts your absolutely correct however, they should begin with all the big majors held in English venues where players such as Wright, Price and Anderson to name a few have had to put up with it for decades. Just look at the most recent Matchplay Smith vs Anderson for a perfect example.

I'm amazed they have let it go this long. It's match fixing in a way because it's obviously putting players off and costing games. I suppose it doesn't help that the fans are close to players I'm pretty sure you don't see it in snooker.

@@thomasb4160 Its a culture thing as darts and the PDC became more popular in the early 2000s and more fans of other sports with more active crowds such as football started watching darts it just became the norm to get very drunk at these events and boo players. This has only been accelerated with the exposure Luke littler has brought to the sport in the last year.

From a down-to-earth and humble player to one that is so arrogant that he becomes mad when the majority of the crowd supports the opponent, all in less than 9 months... at this tempo it won't take long for Littler to become one of the most hated darts players within the PDC.

It has always been a mental thing with Peter Wright, Usually if his head has issues he just breaks, but even with silly mistakes getting to this final he held it together very well to win. When he is in right mind Peter is unstoppable.

Great to see Snakebite back in form. He's been great for the Tour all these years, At the same same, especially with what happened at the presentation, let's never forget that Luke's meteoric rise, combined with all the media pressure, his recent late-tournament letdowns, and the death of someone close to him are a lot to handle for a 17 YEAR OLD. I hope he has a good support system, and hope that he comes out this of even stronger, not only for his sake, but also the sport.
