- Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi was known for his musical creativity; it just sort of flowed out of him,He was most closely associated with the Kirana tradition of khayal singing, which emphasizes fluidity of melody. But he also drew freely from India's many other vocal styles. As a result, according to news accounts over the years, his concerts had a pluralistic appeal that could transcend ethnic, linguistic, religious and class lines. Kabir was a weaver and mystic poet from northern India and lived in Hindu holy city of Benares. He was an important influence on the Hindus and Muslims of his time and also a profound influence on Guru Nanak, the first guru of the Sikh religion. Many poems of Kabir can be found in the Guru Granth Sahib, the sacred scriptures that form the Guru of Sikhism.

jaisa rang tarang milave - As paint mixes in water (?)
yeh to palak bichhe ur jaave - This flys away in an instance
ante koi kaam nahi aave - In the end, no one can help

sun baat kahun parmani - Listen, I have something to say (?)
waha ki kya karta gumani - Whatever you do here is lost (?)
tumko badi hai bemani - It is a big disappointment (?)
Verse 3 (Consclusion):
kahat kabira sun nar gyani - Says Kabir, listen O' wise man
yeh seekhat gayo mehmani(?) - (?)...goes the guest (?)
tere ko baat kahi samjhani - Understand this that I have told you
The translation is far from perfect but should give people a flavor for the topic of the bhajan.
Kaya nahin ter nahin teri - All this material possessions which you think is yours, is not actually yours (when you die you wont be able to take it with you)
Mat kar meri meri - Don't fall into the trap of getting yourself involved in these materialistic possessions (and try to move away from it)

As creation has evolved due to initiation of word Om as vibration act, music is very close to God. Messenger of God existence in the form of divine music for us at heart site has truly presented by him. One can realise him as absolute entity for his duty, assigned by eternal Father.
We have to salute his divine voice.
Versatile ! A genius sacrificed his whole life to enjoy for the listeners of his music. I am only a listener, know not more about his Classical music but I really say I am dissolved in it.

Awards like Bharat Ratan, find grace and credence when given to likes of Pandit Bhimsen Joshi ji, Ustad Bismillah Khan ji. The difference is evident from the fact that likes of Sachin Tendulkar are graced by the awards, whereas awards are graced by the acceptance by the class of Pandit ji and Ustad ji.
I had a great fortune to listen to Padit Bhimsen ji in Baroda 1950 -60 in there about years....Do not remember exact years...

Whenever I listen to Panditji's rendition, I remember our outbound winter spiritual camps of Swamiji where these are extensively played amid lush surroundings where his voice merges with the "silence" of natural sounds. Paradoxical? It isn't.
