Listen to the lyrics of this song. If you're a musician pay attention to the song structure and then compare it to anything on the last two Bon Jovi albums.... The material Richie produces is in a different league. This guy is just an amazing talent. I believe the real artistic powerhouse behind Bon Jovi for years and deserving of a lot more credit for his singing and song-writing. Richie has said Jon Bon Jovi gets final veto on lyrics for Bon Jovi songs because "he has to sing those songs on stage every night, I don't". So we can't blame Richie for all those horrible Bon Jovi tunes written over the past decade. As guitarist he's well respected but still under appreciated. I am a huge Richie Sambora fan. Can't say I've been a Bon Jovi fan in years, though.

Richie is way better than JBJ at so many things but Jon Bon Jovi is the best frontman the music history has ever seen...I am a huge Sambora fan too but I can say that's for sure.

Richie is the best. I will always love old Bon Jovi songs. The band had Richie, Richie's guitar and his lyrics and Jon had a great voice in the early days. When Richie left a lot of Jon Bon Jovi's dna disappear.

There's no need to compare! I think there's too many people saying bad things about this band and its members already, and we, as fans, should stick together and defend them! I think Richie sings great, he isn't better than Jon, he is just different... both of them are great, and when they are together they are even better! Bon Jovi (the band) wouldn't be as good without Jon or Richie. Both are my idols and I admire them!

I rly don't like that kind of competition. They're good musicians. I Think Jon and Richie. If you rly want to compare who's best singer listen Jon voice since 1984. Jon was 22 years old when he was vocal genius. Richie now is about 50's and he was only supporting Jon. Jon used his voice more than Richie for about 30years so if you want to compare them compare Richie's best times to Jon's best times. Think about it.
Also the thing that makes Richie cool is that he uses his voice to help Jon and the band make their music better by not competing, but working together. Class.
You have to think of the fact Jon has been singing all the time, whilst Richie supported with vocals. Jon has used his voice more over the years compared to Richie. They both have different styles of singing, and various vocal techniques, and different vocal abilities.

Jon plays also the guitar, and he plays it really good too, but you can't compare the natural talent that Jon has to compose songs, you just can't, i love Richie's songs, and i think this song is beautiful, but Jon Bon Jovi has composed much more good songs, and all of them have been more successful than any song of Richie, both of them are my idols, but i think that Jon wins in that aspect.

Sorry but Richie is not Jon doesn't have the power and vocals that Jon has to carry the songs the way Jon does. Richie doesn't have the staying power to make it on his own, words run to together making hard to understand. Best he go back to Bon Jovi he is at his best there.
Totally Agreement Jon does have the Natural Talent. Not to mention Jon has been asked to write songs for others. He has won awards on his own for his songs Blaze of Glory Golden Globe (plus 2 others) & wrote 1/2 the songs from the soundtrack of Young Guns 2, was nominated must recently with Not Running Anymore from this last Album. Jon has proven time & time again, he is a hit maker on his own, Richie hasn't come close. Richie has it made with Bon Jovi I really hope it is not to late for him

Remember the MTV live performance the 2 did back in the 80's? Richie's voice was so amazing when singing Livin' on a Prayer.
He has a really great voice, but not as distinguished and unique as BJB.
Only he has that voice and no-one can replace him.
If I heard Richie on the radio, I wouldn't instantly know it was him. There are tons that have great voices, but few that has unique voices.
I prefer the latter.
