After trying Gizmo myself, there is another cool mechanic with his car: When riding the car, you can hold the side special button again to lift the car at an angle, making it easier to hit opponents in the air. Also if you lift the car up and then jump or doge out of it, the car will go at angle instead of directly horizontal which could hit people in the air
i use this a lot and it can be really good for edge guarding. same with its ability to turn mid air making it so you can run off, turn, jump out, and confirm a easy offstage kill
If you jump with the car and up special twice really quickly you will teleport to the car and it will catch on fire before exploding. If you up special on the ground near your car you will just jump in the car and it will catch on fire then explode after. You can get in the car jump out then up special twice to teleport to the car even when it’s on the ground

I run taz trigonometry, ice to beat you and triple jump. I dont use perks that boost projectile speed and the long range one because its basically only your arrow with music note. I rather save arrow to extend combos or shoot popcorn/music notes instead of shooting just the arrow. Thats flammable doc is also good if you dont like taz trigonometry. Hope this helps!
I've noticed that the car special shares attack decay with Gizmo's side normal combo. Not sure if this is intentional, but it's really easy for both moves to reach this threshold.
Thank you for the guide! I never thought gizmo would be so tricky lmao. I think the BBB perk exploding the popcorn makes a decent defence against people just charging you before you can set up. Just ground pound the popcorn if they get to close i think.

He doesn't need more kill options than the few he has, he'd be broken. Just how much you can interrupt the opponent with him and rack damage is already almost broken feeling, but boy is he fun to play.

If we're supposed to mostly be using arrow to approach, I wouldn't run Shirt Cannon Sniper. It's counterintuitive. Depending on how light Gizmo is you might as well run Taz Trig, or Toon Elasticity.
That shit at 13:51 is just confusing to me. Is the Gizmo an opponent, and you as an enemy are picking up his notes to use them against another opponent? So he could make notes to then be used against himself? Or that whole explanation were you just saying opponent when you meant ally...?
so if the car is a collision based object and not a projectile, does this mean that the perk that gives you extra damage for bouncing enemies off walls will actually be (kinda) useful if your teammate uses it too?
So silence does nothing to the characters that have no cool downs? Also, does it stop normal attacks with cool down? Gizmo arrows, Velma bubbles, batarang?

Incorrect friend it now gets bounced back by any projectile and destroyed from any heavy projectile plus there are multiple reflects. It can be hard to deal with at point blank but that ms why you have to read your opponent

These mechanics are cool I just really don't think they are that practical in 2's. Imagine trying to do a popcorn setup while a Shaggy side kick and Iron Giant down special are coming at you. Which is most of this game. It's just not practical.

Idk know for sure but if you send the car out angled then press up special afterwards it will tp you to the car
Did he mention that you can hold dodge to roll? And if you jump out of the roll you still get the jump boost of a dodge jump.
Pretty sure silencing doesn't stop specials, just stops cooldown moves. DOES hinder every single Bugs special, though.

You take no hitstun while attached to your ally, allowing easy setups with popcorn and notes. (you can sing while backpacked)
