This post is a life saver. I bought my Huawei Y6 in Canada, believing it to be an unlocked phone, it worked great with Rogers. Then I bought US sim card and as I arrived last night and poped in the card, I get the SIM pin message, It's locked for the US. Calling local stores either can't do this phone or want to charge $79.99, then I found this video, cost me only $11.99, AMAZING, thanks so much!

I ordered a code and turned on the phone with a different sim card in it and slide the unlock circle, but the phone never asked for a code.. still no network available.. is there a way to select a setting in order for the phone to prompt you to input the code ?
