-Russia attacks without warning, so the powers have to scramble for their armies to get together. Most European militaries are fodder anyway (Germany), so they have a bad time.
-The Russian Army is stretched to thin, and has to deal with insurgencies and resistance
-The remaining powers (Especially the United States) are ready, come up with a plan, and counterattack. Russia, having expended huge resources, manpower, and a likely failing economy already, don't stand a chance.

To all of you saying "ugh so unrealistic", maybe he just does this because mapping is fun and he genuinely enjoys it. Not to predict the future. If you've ever watched mapping before, they also say "Hey guys, don't get triggered, I don't actually think this'll happen", so why would this be any different? Mapping doesn't just have to be accurate, it also needs to be fun to watch.

The only unrealistic thing here is seccession from the union, the huge loss of purchasing power of the dollar(will never happen as long as the Fed's have good monetary policy), and the quick way the war ended. Other than that it makes sense and I understand all these situations occured to make it more interesting.

Drex if they had re-annexed during the war troops would have had to be pulled off the front line to crush the rebellion, weakening the allied advance. So just assume that after the war there is a huge amount of tension and uncertainty in Catalonia about the future of their country

Anyways, I have a few "complaints"
Really me just bitching about shit I don't think is realistic.
1. No way Russia could wreck Europe like that. Just not enough men, tanks, supplies etc.
2. No way China could invade Japan.
3. I don't think the allies would ever be able to reland in Europe after Russia captured it all. Despite the fact that most Europeans would be against the Russians I just don't see it happening.
4. France would surely reannex Alsace-Lorraine from that Sexy new Germany.
5. US Collapsing would never happen... at least I hope it wouldn't. Together we Stand, Divided we Fall.

1. Russia was only able to conquer Europe because of manpower and resources from China and they encircled and destroyed a large part of the NATO military early on.
2. You're probably right.
3. The Allies landed as the Spanish and Scandinavians entered the war so that the Russians would have no way to manage all their fronts.
4. They probably would but following the war European infrastructure is ruined. Not to mention the massive migrations which changed most demographics. France is simply too weak to try anything. It's not that Germany is okay it's just the strongest out of the weak. Also since the U.S collapsed there were no powers to impose new borders.
5. Government incompetence and gridlock caused the protests. But government paranoia caused the Rebellion. Unfortunately this country is probably on the same path the Soviet Union took and we all know where that led.
Oh. I was under the impression that the Allies were putting NATO back together as they took over Europe.

It wasn't meant to be serious, just some fumbling around on some random program (maybe even paint) while imagining what WW3 would look like from the top of your head.
