I do run into a few broken sewers, no the only thing I pull back is a polished blade! Thanks again 👍
I have never seen lead packing come out any drain, but I have seen some of the oakum pulled back with roots. the lead generally stays stuck in the hub or on the pipe itself.
I don't do drain cleaning/repair for a living, but have done and seen plenty over the years to state that. things found, roots, chunks or pipe, dirt, sand, rocks and everything else under the sun , including many personal products. there's nothing quite like fishing "bunghole plugs" and "rubber dongers" out of there. 🤢🤮😱
No P trap or a gusher of POOPOO is a match for the mighty NYDRAINS!

Same, he said it could break the pipes, but if he's going to put it down anyway then there's as much change of breaking it then. The issue was in the trap, so he could have cleared the trap and given us a close up then once the water was released he could have taken the other cap off and knocked off the scale.
Not trying to ruff up the trap if not necessary, and with pressure you'll get a mess regardless😉 thanks 👍

It's what he charges for cleaing the pipe one way I think if you want both the in and out lines cleaned it might be twice that, but I'm not 100% sure.
