I was born in 1961, thus far all of them look right to me. The detail is amazing. Nutritional information wasn’t required on packaging in the US until 1993.
Good to know! I wasn't able to confirm how accurate they are because I've never seen most of this type of packaging.😅
Yes we used to buy them in the 40 lb boxes to make fruit baskets
The revlon makeup is a lipstick it's called Revlon Futurama Lipstick Case Van Cleef Arpels Vtg 1950s 582 Pearls Rhinestones . Found it on embay .And your right the other Revlon Charlie is a cologne/perfume.
The mystery Revlon one is a classic lipstick case from the 1950s 💄 The number on the bottom designates it the 582 “Futurama” lipstick case, a collaboration with jewelry company Van Cleef and Arpels. The bumps on the top are supposed to represent tiny rhinestones and pearls. I guess all items of nostalgia are highly subjective, but there are definitely vintage makeup collectors, and people who just enjoyed their mother or grandmother or great grandmother’s makeup, or older people who experienced the product in their youth, who would find that item quite magical.
Even before the black plastic canister for the film there was a yellowy-orange metal canister. And yep, I remember the STP sold in the gallon container. I definitely think the more recent Revlon nail polish bottle is a vast improvement over the older one. I think it is ugly. These minis are supposed to be from the 70's, 80's, and 90's.
The Pringles used to have a white corrugated paper surrounding them to help prevent breakage. This was before the days of gas sealed canisters where the gas helps cushion the chips. UPC codes didn't start until the 70's. And, yep, no nutrition facts. Back before nutrition labels counted sodium, fats, carbs, and cholesterol there seemed to be way more vitamins in the food. I remember when cereal had 100% of your daily vitamins.
The Turtle Wax now has a screw off lid so you don't need a screw driver or some implement to open the can. I think it also includes a wax sponge applicator.
I'm sorry you got an empty pouch. I was hoping it was the Life magazine.
The white and silver tube is a lipstick. Here's what I found online (for one that was for sale):
Vintage Revlon Futurama 582 Lipstick Case, Van Cleef and Arpels Rhinestone and Pearl Lipstick Tube, 1950
I really enjoy these videos, I don't know why, but then I do like super cute tiny things 😅😊.
Buuuuuuut my favourite videos are watch you make the crafting miniatures especially when you do your own thing with them.
And eeeekkkkkkk that tiny Tape/cassette, it opens and has a tiny tape inside, too cute 😍 😄.
Awww, I'm so glad to hear that!😊 Thank you!💛
My mom had the Charlie perfume back in the day when I was little. This definitely unlocked a core memory 😂😂😂
Love the Crayola tin and the composition book!!!!!
Oh, i like the can of oil. Some day, i will get my Barbie garage built.😂
Awe 💕Charlie perfume was the smell of my grandma who passed away. I’m going to have to find that mini brand. Love you grandma!
I found some at target and I was so happy! I was hoping you had gotten the notebook so I could see what the non luxury one was like because I ended up with 3 shiny ones! But the haribo and dumdums look so cute. Can’t wait to see you open more
Mit Farbstoffen is added colours. And yes, it's written in german since they were invented in germany. :D
I was wondering when you were going to open these. So glad you did 😀👍
I had those crayons they were special my nana got them with trading stamps for me
Just Born was the manufacturer of Hot Tamales :)
I want that STP mini! Now I have to go buy them just for that! Newfangled just means new only longer 😆
I found mine at target for $7.99 each.
Can't wait to see your other videos to see what you get 🙂
Mentos alignment was dependent on the humidity level! The white tube is lipstick.I believe it is a red, however I didn’t wear makeup when that style was popular; too young!
Good to know!🤔
These aren’t very standard-dollhouse useful, as in 1:12 scale, but they are so adorable and really accurate! I’m first year gen x and these all look fantastic, although I’ve never heard of the suckers from the first one. The battery had to be removed from the box or it most likely wouldn’t have fit in the device it was going into. The battery should have the logo and markings on it. That’s the only one that wasn’t really great.
The Haribo is German(mit Farbstoffen means with coloring 😭😭)
The Haribo Gold-Bären is German!!! You had a good guess with “with fruit!” “Mit” in German does mean “with” but the word “farbstoff” does not mean “fruit” the word “farben” means “colors” and “stoff” translates somewhat close to “materials.” So combined “farbstoff” means “colorant” as in “food coloring.” So in english the phrase would probably be closer to “with added colors.”
It's pronounced Dole. Like pole only with a D. Please notice there is no pull tab on the can. Back in the day we had to use can openers on all cans. 😊
How many mini brands are there gonna be!!!????
I have so e of that Charlie perfume
Lipstick tube
I think the white one might be lipstick 💄
Why didn't you open or shake the Pringles n CheezePuffs and I believe that Retro Mini tube was a Revlon lipstick other then that lov the Retro Mini'z 💙
Hi, will you do another kfc mini brands in the future?
The unknown revlon item is lipstick
I found one like it on mercari and took a screen shot dont know how to share it with you.
The Revlon is lipstick
I'm pretty sure that one Revlon one is lipstick. It looks like a tube of lipstick to me.
The Revlon white tube thing looks like lipstick??
22:56 it's Revlon lipstick you've got red one nail polish you've got Revlon nail polish and you had Revlon perfume and with that one you have Revlon lipstick
I think the same thing. What´s the point of being able to take countless pictures? Even if you own a digital frame. Because hundreds of pictures keep rotating you don´t get to see them all and you have no attachment to any of them.
First! Morning everyone! The skinny Revlon tube is lipstick. The banana company is DOLE rhymes with pole. Bazooka gum is a single serving, only 5 cents and inside the wrapper was a joke with a cartoon, usually a really bad pun. The character was Bazooka Joe. If you get a second one, please open the wrapper and see if there’s a joke . Charlie was perfume-with iconic commercial with a song, advertising to 1980’s ‘modern working women’
Yes, Millennial here. But I would have loved to have these back in the 90’s for my Barbie, instead of making it 😂😂
what..
I wore Charlie when I was a teenager and wanted to seem sophisticated. 😅🤣😂I have seen Cheez Balls for sale in Walmart, I loved them in the 80's. I remember the Pringles can looking just like that and the commercial that emphasized the stacking shape, in the 70's maybe . . .
Come on now, the Bazooka gum was a penny, part of penny candy at most liquor (packie) and small stores😊
Did the gum also have a little comic strip too? For some reason that's what I'm picturing.
I also remember these being given out during Halloween, would have loads of them. 😅
Can you make a video showing your Mini Brands collections and how you store them? You showed one of the series a while ago, but I'd love an update!
Yes! I was going to post the same request! I would love to see how you display your collections
Ditto
They still make cheez balls in the can. Theyre in the aisle at the grocery store with the slim Jim's and popcorn. And they also have them at the dollar tree. 😁
Yeah, they were discontinued for awhile and planters brought them back.
Re: the Hot Tamales, "Just Born" is the name of the candy company. They make Peeps, etc. also.
Thank you, came here to say this
He’s so gentle to everything he’s touching it like it’s a cloud I don’t know if it’s the way he’s doing this but he’s so gentle looking when he does this
And his voice is so soothing...😚
and uh i love him
Awww!😊 It's how I usually am with mostly everything.😂
What a bummer the last package. I like the cassette, VHS, Kodak roll, and both the Crayola can and box. I haven’t seen the whole collection yet. But they are nostalgic to so many and that fact alone gives this collection a special meaning. As always, love your videos! 💛
Or having a website where you could look up the history of each item with pics side by side of the original and the miniature.
Dude, you opened the Pringles right as I took a bite of a Pringle. 😂
I love when that kind of thing happens.
Edit: "Newfangled" (new-fayngulled) basically just means something that is exceptionally different to what youre used to. So, in this case, people are used to chips being loose in bags and usually thinner, while Pringles came stacked in a can and have thicker chips.
I believe "Just Born" is the manufacturing company for Hot Tamales. I used to eat those things religiously growing up, and studied the box at boring basketball games and stuff, lol.
The Haribo bears are German.
"Mit Farbstoff" means: with colorant
28 minutes its an ultra rare invisible cloak in the package 😂
The revlon tube is a lipstick I think. The scale seems like it’s all over the place in this collection, they should make it all a uniform size. Nice video ❤
That was what I assumed, too. Before my time, though.
Yes, you’re right about the scale. But granted mini brands has always had their scale be all over the place.
I totally agree!😂
Yeah ever since Series 1 Mini Brands scaling has been all over the place. They try to keep all the items roughly the same size without a care about scale.
It is nail polish, or as it was referred to online as "nail enamel." I thought it was lipstick, too, so I had to look it up.
Haribo is a German confectionery company that invented the gummy bear - basically, it's not a *real* gummy bear, unless it's Haribo. "Goldbaeren" means "gold bears", "mit Farbstoff" means "with (food) coloring".
Haribo is a German candy company. Also can that Pez package be a retro package they released in 2017 for like some anniversary or something? Doing some research on the Pez it was a gift tine released in 2017 so oops on Mini Brands. They were 90 years old in 2017 from my Google search so that might be why that was released.
EVERY teenager wore Charlie in the 80s, or Paris, if they were rich, and didn't mind that people needed to stand 5 foot away from them 😂
My friend still wears Paris, it gives me a headache!
@@debraknott729 yep! Why to people seem to feel the need to bathe in the stuff? 😂 We used to have a girl who wore it to circuit training, at the gym, we had to get the trainer to have a little word. We don't have a lot of AC in the UK 😊
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The CHARLIE perfume commercials… and the JEAN NATÉ, they were very memorable. Fun!😊
Jean Naté was a thing for most of forever. Nostalgia for sure. 😊❤
Yeah, you used the battery in the box
I still use Charlie perfume, and body spray, and EverReady batteries
That is Lorraine Collet, the original 'Sun'-Maid girl
She was changed, I suppose, a few times after, but definitely in 2020, when they went with a new model
Also notice that there is no nutrition facts
I was born in 1965. I've just been knocked over the head hard with the nostalgia hammer! Charlie was my mother's perfume. These look so fun!
The white Revlon container is a lipstick case women would buy the lipstick and stick it in the case
I'm in love with the cassette and videotape! That really brought me back to recording movies on TV as a kid. Definitely going to look for these! Definitely agree about the sticker for the video tape though. I would have wrote Return of the Jedi on mine lol. First favorite movie of all time
Ooh I’ve been waiting on this. Coffee in hand! Your Cranky Turtle Viewer in WV
☕️🐢💙💛
Hope you enjoyed it!😁
You were right, guessing that the writing on the Haribo Gummies was german! It says "Goldbären", which translates to "golden bears". "Mit Farbstoff" means "With colorant". Fruits would be Früchte. I love your content, your videos are always very relaxing to me. 😆Stay safe and healthy, greetings from Germany!
Yesss! Thank you for writing this comment. I knew there has to be some fans from Germany watching this.💛
@@GBKuhleen Thank you for making these videos! 💛
The mentos ones unlocked a lot of memories for me. Maybe because that's one of the only ones that looked the same over here in Europe. Also really liked the cassette and video tapes.
Here in the uk we still have the Charlie perfume aswell as body spray lines etc it was really popular in 2008-2010 among teenagers! 😊
We found them at Target for 7.99
the revlon thing is lipstick, the number on the bottom is the shade
You found them! My mom used to wear Charlie perfume❤ and remember most of what you got so far, love this collection. Stay Golden❤
Hi GB great video. I just wanted to mention you didn't squeeze the gummy bears. They put a new type of foam that feels more realistic.
I'm in Australia and I found these in a Kmart store for $10. I definitely had to get one, now I feel so old
The battery one is old school IFYKYK you used to drip them on the floor and they would recharge
Bazooka gum had like 5 or 7 little tabs of gum folded in thin paper in the box.
I'm not from America so I don't recognise much, but the cassette is amazing! I also love the VHS and camera film.
Charlie is a perfume, my grandma and mom wore it for years!
I hope the Mini Brands company see this video and sends you extra balls to replace that empty package!
The packaging for the crayons came out that that for Christmas
Did you see all the mini brands have been recalled??? 😮😢😮😢 well, the ones with resin
The film is loose in the box because the instructions are missing. You could add a folded piece of paper to simulate that. Of course the film was also in foil….
Hi GB! The planters cheez balls are still being sold. I've found an at gas stations and a few local grocery stores
Good to know! I'll definitely pick some up.😁
The "Mit Farbstoff" on the Haribo Goldbären pack means "with food coloring"...
Omg Charlie!!! My mom used to wear Charlie when she was alive....i should buy me a bottle just to smell
I believe that the cardboard box crayons is just a modern package that they made to look vintage, similarly to that PEZ tin. Like it’s an anniversary edition with a throwback design.
With the gold bears it is German, Haribo is a German company
It's too bad they didn't make the lipstick tube open with a lipstick inside the case.
These are so cool I love mini brands for Barbie’s
The sun maid girl has changed many times threw the yrs. She is modern now
It seems like those are ones that are for the 50+!!!!😂
The funniest part is that I still have the plastic tube for the Kodiak film at home. The are perfect to store small things inside. And I am 37 so maybe I am old 😂😅
I’ll say it - those film canisters used to be favorites of weed smokers back in the day. They were inconspicuous, opaque, and the smell didn’t leak out them. Don’t ask how I know this 😂
I remember some of the commercials for these products. Charlie perfume had music. I'm sure you could find some commercials for these out there on, hmmm, You Tube? I believe the white Revlon tube is lipstick.
Turtle wax was used a lot on surf boards. If I remember correctly. 😊❤
Very cool. I remember many of these… I’m old like that LOL I’m still on a quest for 3 things from Mini Books before I let myself move on to another collection. I’m looking for the “Burn Book”, “Clueless”, and a magnifying glass 🔎. They’re so hard to find here and as soon as any of them arrive, it’s just 1 box and someone takes the whole thing. 😞 I was able to complete a set of the babies by finding a box at Hobby Lobby. The next day, the whole box was gone. 🤷♀️
I may be a baby gen z but..., the planters cheese ball are the exact same in stores last time i checked, they are quite oily and leave a peanut and cheez after taste, over all they are good. Also gb you need to try cheese balls they are amazing! (and quite addictive)
He said he's had cheese balls, just not the Planter's brand ones.
@@ElysetheEevee oh lol, I thought he said he hasn’t tried cheese balls
You're right. He's had cheese puffs and crunchy cheetos, but not specifically the ball/sphere shape
@@hyperfocused7029 YIPPEEE
'Newfangled' is a word that older people use to describe some new invention, or update, like the Internet, mobile phones, electric cars, Elon Musk, etc.. 😉
That's just the more recent trope for that word. It basically just means anything that's drastically different to the status quo.
@@ElysetheEevee yes, dear. I was describing it in a way the children would understand.
Missed opportunities: Heresy syrup can should come with its yellow plastic top that says Hershey's on top (you make a big and small triangle holes on top with sharp end of bottle opener then seal it back with yellow lid).
Film should have had black canister with grey lid. And Box should have been same type of film. Maybe this one could have had the canister that opens inside? I hate empty boxes for this price
Totally agree years and WTH it is should be on the guide.
Excellent video. Fun as always. The Company for Pineapple is pronounced Dole not Doh-lay. So you were right the first time 😎
Agree that the Hershey’s can should have come with the lid. Also, I remember getting rolls of film in a metal canister 😂😂😂. They changed to the plastic ones in the 70s. I, too, don’t like the paper boxes with nothing inside.
Dole is pronounced like it is spelt
It is not Dolé
Chaile brings so many memories of my kid home my mom has used that my hole life and I'm 43 it's smells like home to me she still were it today
Oh wow! So it still exists!😲
@@GBKuhleenYes and it's a brand that's still available worldwide, we have those perfumes here in Australia 😁
I like Charlie Silver but there's red, blue & gold versions and each scent is very different. Silver is very fresh to me, a bit citrusy
When pringles were new it was a cool experience to buy and open a can !

Hello! I know this comment might get read or not but I just wanted to say thank you for your videos! I have been struggling with my mental health and your videos always put a smile to my face! Just thank you! I really love your content and really like your voice! Again just thank you so much! :)
Hi there! Awww you are so very welcome!🥰 I wish I could read and reply to all the comments like I used to, but it's almost impossible.😅 Have a great week friend!💛
I bet if you took a picture of each and did a reverse image search you’d be able to find out more about ones you don’t recognize
Good idea!💛
Oh my gosh are these cool!
My favorites are the film, film box, the cassette tape, the VHS tape and the Bazooka gum! I took photography in the 70's and those are a great memory for me! If they make the film cannister that would be awesome! The gum was single serve and came with a comic, you saved the comics to send in for prizes!
I want the cassette! I can’t find these in my area yet.
GBK MINIVERSE'S GOT RECALLED😢😢
I know, I recently found out 😢
Hi GB! As soon as I saw there was a cassette tape & VHS tape I had to buy it on Mercari! 😁
the scale is still so off on some of the items!! the raisins are hilarious bc they just look like they're a real box of raisins????? but some items are very cool like I am loving the film and camera stuff
Lol, Just Born is the name of the company that makes Hot Tamales, Mike & Ikes and Peeps!
I KNEW they made other stuff, but couldn't remember what, for the life of me!😂
I think these are retro for Gen X. 70s, 80s. Marketing miss. Gen X aren't the ones buying these. Should be 90s&2000s for millennials
