@Supercarlsunday hello yes you have made a good job so takes a bit time and effort ! and thats what I feel like working in a garage all day ha but we keep on going 👍
Thanks. It's hard to advice on the welding settings. There different on different machines and different depending on wire gauge. You just kind of know. Best to practice on some old metal.
It was cleaned up! I always clean up the area before applying filler! There was no burnt residue mixed in with the filler at all! Watch with your phone and zoom in! Your mistaken!
I could watch shit like this for hours 😂 looks so good in the end great job. I have exactly the same issue with my Combo only not as severe. Where are you based mate?
Haha I already did and it was a good vid, wasn’t boring like a lot of these normally are. Damn thats far away, im going to have to try and find someone local to do this.
Thank you for subscribing and I appreciate your kind comment about the video. Keep an eye out especial leading up to Christmas as I do free give away draws for my subscribers. Where abouts are you based?
No worries mate and do those prizes include replacing rotted out sills on shitty Vauxhall vans? 🤣 Im based in Cambridge but I do pop up to York to visit family sometimes. Also, what do you think a fair price to charge is? I want to make sure im not getting ripped off when ai make some inquires.
I see, you are a bit of a treck away. Unfortunately those prizes don't include vauxhall sill repairs lol. I couldn't advise on a price because every job is different and it depends what they are doing. Also garages have different hourly rates. Make sure you use a body shop though.
A lot of the time you need the guard off the grinder to get in to those tricky places. You have to think, I've been using a grinder daily for 30 years. I would always advise to use the guard when possible, but some times you just got to get on with the job without one.
People will buy vuxhall I don't no why ..vuxhall thay still live in the 90s when all metal sheet for cars was made from recycled materials,,hence why thay rot...ford moved on and used good steel...and vuxhall are the limp mode car of the year 2015 to 2024..junk
Another nice repair !
Thank you Paul. I feel rough after doing it! 😕 Must be getting old lol.

Any chance you can put a link to where you got the £20 panels from please.
why didnt you clean away the burnt residue before you put on the filler? [it was being mixed in with the filler]

First class work. Wish you lived in norfolk
Thank you. I get a lot shipped from all over to be honest.
Nice work.. what head are you using on ryobi grinder for cleaning welds? Is it a Velcro type disc holder.. if so where can I get... thanks.
Start with a stone type then finish off with a soft pad.

Typical Ford. Had a transit took eighteen months to completely rot out chassis.
This one is a Vauxhall. But yes ford's are not great. I need to underseal my transit ready for winter.
Saying you work safely but no guard on the grinder Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrr

Ford are just as bad, believe me lol.
Ford's are the worst rot boxes. You obviously have never owned a transit!
