    What a solid front 9! I think you have the potential to be way lower than a 9 handicap. I think you hit all your fairways in regulation and 4 greens in regulation which works out to 44% GIR. I think a 44% GIR rate usually equates to about a 6 handicap. Thank you for posting this video and please share more of your stats if you keep track of them. It would be interesting to see your GIR stats and up-and-down stats as well as number of putts per round.

      I am struggling with Stroke Play nowadays too. 1 bad hole completely ruins the entire round. But still, if you've made a 91 you are no longer officially a 23 hcp player. So that's something to celebrate for sure. This round should give you a lot of confidence to play even better..

    Was this a good round for you? What is the course rating and slope? At 3500 yds for 9 holes (7000 for 18), most courses in the US would be rated north of 74.0 (unless they’re at a high elevation) so shooting +4 over 9 holes (+8 over 18) would roughly equate to a 6 handicap differential and most likely a lot lower when you factor in slope (I’m guessing the slope would be somewhere in the 130’s which would mean this is more like a 4-5 handicap differential)

    • @ShaanTahirGolf
      @ShaanTahirGolf  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So the rating for this course is 74.5 and the slope rating is around 131. I don't know how the formula works but according to this formula my hcp should be lower? I do have to say that this is not one of my best rounds. My game was better till a few months back then it took a dip. I had come down to a 7. But its difficult to consistently break 80 even when I was playing well.

      @@ShaanTahirGolf Your handicap is calculated by the average of your best 8 rounds over the course of a 20 round period. So if you consider this not one of your better days id safely say you're closer to a 6 handicap. I'm a 7 handicap and shooting 82,83,84 is a pretty average day for me.

      Hello hows your day? I want to share you
      This is a message from your loving God.
      God is a loving God and want to save us all.
      God dont want anybody to suffer or have a hard life. Meaning of life is love and that's what God wants. Thats the meaning of life. If we would take care and love each other that would solve all the problems. But world is not like that. World is a sinful world. God dont destroy this world but we humans do. His immediately ready if you want to serve him. God will show you the right path what leads to life. Its a path of love. God made us and have eternal love and mercy. This world is not what God wanted. But he gave us free will. You can choose good or bad. Thats why he send he's only son Jesus that we had mercy. Jesus is God too because he is God's only son. Now this world have went to very wicked and our God is crying. So many peoples are on the path of destruction. World have allways been wicked but now is extremely bad times going on. God want's peoples to come back to serve him and he wants to give forever life and happiness. God is a God of love, mercy, justice and a judgment.
      He love us peoples as much as hes son Jesus.
      There is one big lie going on this world. Its an evolution lie. First please think this thing. Why all the fruits, berrys and vegetables taste so good? Anybody can go to own home kitchen and try to do the same taste. Then look up please and watch those extremely beautiful birds. Do you really believe birds came from dinosaurs? We need very light bones, right size, correct shape, a bird's beak and feathers. And the same time birds are very beautiful. I send only these two questions to evolution professor and nothing came back(Why berries taste so good and how those little birds survived without wings)
      Then they say evolution gave animals camoflash to survive. Well if we look black panther. They say it's black because it's a night-time hunter and that black color also give it protection during night-time. First thing: evolution dont have brains and it gave that black color they say. Second thing: Please think how many shades of colors are and all animal have to be black.
      Third thing: Then they say there were many panthers with another color also and the best color was left. Because it's the best color in the nigh time. This is a lie also because: if you think like evolutionist's: the animals system also have to know to do black anymore. Rabbit is also brown when it's a summer and white when it's a winter. We need intelligence to do that.
      They say also evolution develops animals or Humans what kind of element we live. Why then fish have gills and whale have lungs? They say first came the first cell and that was finally a fish. And then finally fish came to land and it was frog or something.
      But thats inpossible because gills should also transform to lungs under the water. They brake their own logic when they say that. And how about a whale. Whale proves also God is real because it have lungs. Theory of evolution tells everything started from ocean.
      They also say that plants came from ocean and thats why we have now.
      Thats a lie because:
      The plants have an underwater pollination system. If something comes to the beach it will die for it. And they are breaking their logic again. Fish and other water animals and plants belong to sea.
      Only our loving God can create life and everything what we humans and animals need. People can try to think but the deeper we try to dig the more lost we are. We cant ever create life from nothing.
      A simple car engine also needs its maker, parts, fuel and the right structure to work.
      I had health problems about six years ago. Finally it was so bad i thought im gonna die. My heart was beating fast. My blood pressure was high. Then i started to lose my energy. When i try to walk my legs felt heavy and my stamina went very bad also. Then i started losing my sleep. Eventually i crashed a little into the road and asked God and Jesus to help. Finally I started to run in the toilet all the time too. Then the very awful thing came. I lost fastly almost all my ability to sleep and I started to loose my weight. Blood came out of my nose and I started to lost my hairs too. I visit hospitals and private hospitals too but they couldn't help me. They gave me beta blockers to my heart and finally medicine to my high blood pressure too. I wanted to get inside the hospital but they refused to take me in. In private hospitals they couldn't understand why they dont take me in the main hospital. Finally I contact to other country and I asked can you take me in the hospital. Then they asked where are you here? I told im in the other country and I need a help. But they told me we cant take you in because you dont live here. So I can tell you money didnt help me. Later I told my family im gonna die very soon because I felt completely awful. Finally I asked again God to help me. Then finally my Mother saw one Angel vision and three Jesus vision. After that it took few days and my health came back. I got my sleeping back and my heart started to calm down. I started to gain weight. Blood pressure went back to normal and finally I got all my hairs back. This Is very short version what happend to me but I was close to death. God Is real and loves us very much. When you begin to seek God you Will find True love. Read the Bible too please because its a perfect book. Thats how you know God Is real💕🙏. Read what Jesus told because its perfect talking💕🙏

Quick question though, it seems like on your iron shots, there are already a fresh, existing divot next to the shot you taped. Were those random and coincidence or you're actually hitting twice on approached shots? the rest of the fairways are in perfect conditions.

      Firstly, thank you for watching and commenting on the video. I had had a couple of other comments regarding this as well and I can see why that would look strange but I take my practice swing just next to the ball which I obviously cut out in editing to make the video shorter. I didn't even realise it until the first comment came after which I realised the practice swing cannot be next to the ball.. So that is the story of the divots.

    tiny advice for chipping, slightly open the face, swing on the same line with a slight over the top cut, as well as looking slightly ahead of the ball almost always avoids thinning or chunking a chip. im super inconsistent lmao but i practice chipping 3 hours a day and finally found a technique thats near flawless for me, definitely recommend trying!

      One advice I got which really helped my entire golf swing come together was maintaining the tempo. And the easiest way to do that is to slow down your backswing. Once you do that, everything else will fall into place and you will see you’ll automatically start easing into the downswing too. I did nothing else besides slowing my backswing which was a lot more difficult to do than I thought honestly.. Thank you for watching and commenting on the video.

      @@ShaanTahirGolf you hit like this consistently if you give like a month time into the driver, working onto the swing consistency. I spent an entire month just on driver most because I found out, a good drive results in good scores mostly, after changing my driver, I went from 240-250 going left and right to 270-280 into the fairway. Now the day I get lucky with my putting, I shoot 40 below on 9 hole as a 10 handicapper.

    2nd shots need some tightening left and right
    Chips/Pitches need some tightening up on distance
    Putting is good at 1.9 putts per hole
    about 10% miss-hits
    So that means if I want to golf as well as you I need to just hit 5 more fairways, 20 fewer mishits and do alot better on everything else

      Just work on your short game. It is the most underrated and under appreciated concept. Everyone is so concerned and focused on hitting long and going to the range they forget the most important part. Reduce 3 putts and make the chip putts around the green.. your hcp will significantly drop.

Looks like you’ve taken some lessons, 3 wood for accuracy is a great plan even on longer Par 4s. Putting looked solid. Nice to see a humble 9 handicapper. The occasional bogey seems to be due to shots rather shy of the green, leaving you with a mandatory up and and down to make par. As a result you might find useful to select a longer club or practice a lot at hitting straight and solid strokes to greens or similar targets. A 9-handicap could then quickly move to scratch 😊.

    I agree this player is about a 9 handicap. Many comments below are confusing “course” handicap with “index” handicap. My bet is that this players index handicap is probably around a 5.5-6, but because of this course difficulty (slope/rating) his course handicap is probably around 9. Said differently, if he was playing a sub 6000yard easy course his course handicap might be less 5. This index handicap is constant but the course handicap changes based on course.

I want to drop my hcp to a solid 6 in the next year. Need to work a lot on my mental game. Let's hope I get there. Thank you for watching and commenting.

      Been working on it. Hoping that its a little better already. Been chipping and putting well recently. That definitely helps decreasing the hcp.

    3:17 I missed a putt exactly like this yesterday. It was for my first birdie ever and missed it. On a par 3

      Ohhh. That was have been so disappointing. I still remember my first birdie. It felt like the biggest achievement in the world. I wish you made that putt. But don't worry, you are going to make some fantastic birdies very very soon.

    Lovely draw with your driver. Ball maybe slightly too far forward with long irons causing a pull?

    • @ShaanTahirGolf
      @ShaanTahirGolf  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you for watching and commenting. I have thought about that myself but am so vary of putting the ball back in the stance because the flight will be even lower. But I should definitely give it a try.

    Excellent video, lovely roll mate on 5th hole, amazing.
    If you travel to UK, I'd love to host you at Stoke By Nayland golf resort (an hour and half from London) for a round or two.

    Nice nine holes there! Any chance you'd share the course rating as a graphic on screen just to give us a sense of how you're shooting compared to your index? What was the rating of this front nine? 35? 36? Keep up the solid vids!

    • @ShaanTahirGolf
      @ShaanTahirGolf  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a good idea actually. I can definitely try to do that. The index of the front is 37. Thank you for watching and enjoying the video.
