Rachel and Chandler are one of my favourite underrated duos. Matthew Perry said in his book that he had a little crush on Jennifer Anniston in the early seasons and would take any opportunity in a scene to look at her adoringly. But my favourite moment between the two of them has to be when Chandler comforts her in season 2 after she learns of her parents getting divorced.
It’s interesting they are not as paired together, because they were the first of the group to get involved (just made out but oh well) and while Rachel said she wasn’t attracted to him when she first met him, she was lying considering she was fantasizing about him lol and Jen and Matthew were the youngest ones and their vibes were always amazing. The cheesecake, the handcuffs, him hooking her up with his coworkers, the pathetic loser hallway. I wish there was more of them.
Dude, Friends is a comedy show full of emotional situations. It's ok to relate and take them seriously. That's one of the reasons why it's my comfort show; it's funny, it's emotional, it's real, it's everything to me. And yes, I've shed lots of tears with it, and I love that. No need to adjust your experience to other people's.
I wholeheartedly disagree with those asking you to change the way you react and 'not take it so seriously' (wth) The whole reason we watch reactions in general is for the authenticity of a first time watch, and so the scenes/ actions of the characters evoke a different response in everyone (sometimes based off of real life experiences etc)- you can't change how you feel. Regardless of how serious you take a scene Oscar- to me it ALWAYS comes across that you're enjoying the episode/ series. So going forward I would strongly implore you to continue reacting how you would naturally- and not like how others REQUEST you to react
PLEASE stay unapologetically and genuinely yourself! That's why we're here. I cant wrap my head around people telling you how to feel or react to something.
It’s really sad that some people who apparently don’t take the later seasons seriously would say there is nothing serious anymore to him. There is more goofier things but serious ones too (which I can’t tell of course but people should know what they are).
I always thought it was so interesting and refreshing to see someone dig deeper and take stuff like sitcoms and analyze their plots in a more serious way and kinda treat and judge it like real life situations, so to me the way u were reacting was really fun to watch and I loved it cause that’s how I always feel when watching even the most silly productions
The cheesecake episode is my absolute favorite because it showcases how two people of the opposite sex can be really good friends even though one is married to the other's best friend. It's just such a wholesome yet funny episode.

12:59 “don’t take this show seriously my ass“ 😂😂 That was so funny , please don’t adjust your reaction and be yourself , I actually loved when you were uncomfortable with some scenes on the last episodes
I love the Rachel and Chandler pairing. It’s my favorite. You were spot on. They’re the odd pairing out of the group but they have such sibling energy. Both actors are so funny and I think Jennifer Aniston is highly underrated for her comedic timing.
3:37 there’s a fan theory that Phoebe and Joey were in a friends with benefits relationship and that’s why Phoebe was so upset, even half the writers wanted to get them together by the end of the show and this was a hint at that.
I don't think it's necessary for you to adjust the way you watch the show..... I'm actually subscribed to you BECAUSE I like the way you watch the show (and movies of course). That said, another Friends reaction, yeahhh!
I’m so happy that you know the characters so well now that you predict how they will react! This is the brilliance of this show, you get so attached to the characters that you eventually feel like you know them personally!
If you take anything from the comments section of this particular video, it should be that the (however many) people telling you to adjust your expectations and reactions to this show are likely a vocal minority! Which makes sense... people are more likely to comment if they disagree with something than if they agree. But we watch your reactions because we enjoy them! So just keep being you, and we'll keep watching
oh lord, one time my fire alarm began beeping and it wouldn't stop even when I took out the battery or when I pressed the reset button. I was reminded of this ep and started to think I had to resort to smashing it (and therefore pay for the damages which I'd rather not do) but turns out, I just had to put in a new battery pack 😅
Anyone who tells you not to take things seriously is telling you not to think critically and that’s them trying to dumb you down so they can feel better because they don’t wanna have to think themselves The world is a serious as you take it, and you can learn a lot from TV shows and sitcoms Don’t let other people make you feel stupid because you’re actually being smart about something that they couldn’t be smart about themselves
With the late night episode, I always thought an after credit scene of them meeting up the day after would've been hilarious. Maybe the friends are all at Central Perk on their couches, hanging out but all asleep or dead tired from the night before. Then Ross walks in with a cast on his foot and hits a chair or something on his way over, but the others are too tired to bother.
I LOVE me some Rachel and Chandler moments, one of my favorite underused pairings on the show. Jen and Matthew's relationship IRL really comes across in their scenes.
Who is telling this man to stop taking the show seriously?? Yes, there are times where the premise of an episode is heightened for comedy, but the reason we love Friends is that the characters are real people to us, and we care about what happens to them. Don't rag on a man for wanting the best for them, even if they're fictional and comedic.
I love these episodes! Pretty sure it developed my love for cheesecake! Love the comedy between Rachel and Chandler -- wish we got more episodes of them together
I love the cheesecake episode. Rachel and Chandler moments were highlights of the show, so it's a shame we didn't really get more scenes than this. I also like how you pointed out that it was such a sibling rivalry scene, and I never realized it!
you are my top favorite Friends Reviewer, and I watch alot of them. Friends, how I met your mother and will and grace are my comfort shows and can watch on repeat all day every day and did when I didn't have access to cable or antenna TV as we are rural, all I had were boxed sets of tv shows. Some of my favorite things about Friends casting is that the actors are connected outside the show and characters reappear through the seasons. Helen Hunt (Season 1) sees Phoebe, played by Lisa Kudrow, thinks its Ursula, who also plays a waitress in the show Mad About You, starring Helen Hunt. Hank Azaria plays David, that was Helen Hunt's husband. He is known for voicing a lot of Simpson's characters.
" The one where they're up all night" is one of my favorite episodes 😂😂 PS: Never change please, you are actually one of the most genuine reactors out there and we love you for this!!
I think the not taking it serious comment is more about situations like Phoebe kissing Joey and not meaning anything and things like that. But I truly hope you don't change the way you connect with characters and stories.
Hi!! I've been watching you for years!! Please dont stifle your reactions. I love your natural reactions, that's why i love watching you. React how you want. Don't listen to any has-beens who dictate how you ""should""react. React naturally, and that's all that matters
I've been enjoying watching these reactions. Once you watch the series finally I highly recommend watching the bloopers. Not only are they funny but you can tell the cast has a real bond. Like the show itself, the bloopers get better with each passing season.
If I had been Ross and Joey on the roof, when noticing that the fire escape was a hazard like that, I would've gone back to Ross plan of shouting from the roof 😂
My cat HATES the fire alarm when it needs a battery. We were watching this video cuddling and phoebes fire alarm started beeping and he FREAKED! Took him the whole rest of the video to come back. I also had to put in headphones because he was so freaked out. 😅
I love how you take it seriously, it makes it more entertaining for me! 😄 Rachel and Chandler are hilarious together, I do feel like they were trying to set them up at one point earlier in the show. I love David for Phoebe, they have great chemistry together. Lmao at you saying Chandler needed to keep Monica awake 👀😂😂
Please don't change anything about your genuine reactions. Not a thing. If some people don't like it they can move on. I love you reactions. I agree that Phoebe should be with David. Love the interactions in this one
do not change how you react because some our your viewers or subscribers said so. This is YOUR reaction, and we are watching to see YOUR reaction, so you react how u want to and nobody should judge you because of that.
The same thing happened to me and my family with the fire alarm. One night my teen brother couldn't stand the beeping of the fire alarm he tried to disconnect it but the little wires were connected to the wall so he grabbed a pair of scissors and cut it and it went off just like it did with Pheobe. We all woke up scared and nothing made it stop. The fireman showed up and I can't remember how he turned off I guess some reset button 😅.
Yeah this season of friends is like the downfalls of people loll they definitely show the questionable side of their decisions But that’s why friends is so important because it shows how everyone goes through difficulties even though you’re a good person
1. Don't adjust your style. It's great. 2. I love David, although I still don't understand how none of the writers knew that Minsk is in *Belarus, not Russia.* By the time this episode aired, the USSR hadn't existed for _10 years_ already.
I get what people mean about the characters' actions not necessarily needing to be taken 100% literally, and the show certainly does get more cartoony from the beginning of S7 on. That said, that exact quality is why this is my least favorite era of the show. It's still great, of course, but like you, I miss the more grounded early seasons, when they would temper the hilarity with honest emotions and some genuinely touching moments.
There are only two things that I can think of that change dramatically in the last seasons. One is Joey becoming more stupid as you have mentioned (which makes the joke about Ross yelling for rescue on the roof even funnier, since usually Joey is the stupid one) and the other is Phoebe's attitude, especially towards Chandler. The show still has some serious/emotional moments (as shown with the Phoebe and David storyline in E11) mixed in with humour and I don't think you have to "adjust" for anything. Rachel and Chandler is such an underrated duo. Jen and Matty had such good chemistry, which makes sense since they were especially close IRL. Even though I'm more of a chocolate cake person (chocolate in general), like you I have learned to appreciate cheesecake as I've gotten older after not liking it as a kid. Also, Joey just randomly having a fork in his pocket is SO Joey 🤣 I wonder if Monica wore white to the wedding on purpose as payback for not being invited, since it's considered rude towards the bride to wear white. Also, I never understood why they didn't just tell her the truth. Of course she was gonna wonder and be pissed she wasn't invited but Ross was PLUS ONE! About Phoebe in E12, I always thought it was odd that there was a fireman in the bulding looking in the trash chute. If there had been a fire I'm sure he would have mentioned it but he didn't. Also, despite what he says, it is actually not against the law to disconnect a smoke detector but should be discouraged in the event of a real fire. Fun facts: Jason George who plays the fireman is currently playing one in Station 19, a spin-off of Grey's Anatomy (he started there as a doctor and pops up now and again). Monica mentions to Chandler that he's reading about Archie and Jughead (it was also mentioned earlier in the series in the "what-if" episodes). Cole Sprouse who plays Ben went on to star in the CW's Riverdale, which is based on the Archie comics, as Jughead.
The cheesecake episode needs to be studied by doctors. It causes literal cravings. Once, it sent my best friend and I on a Sunday night odyssey to find cheesecake at 11PM. And no, we weren't even high!
Day 10 of asking for your reaction to Klaus! Funfact to that oscarnominated movie: Director Sergio Pablos had wanted to do a traditionally animated feature film, but he wanted to see how the animation would have evolved without the switch to computer-generated animation. So the studio used CGI lighting techniques with hand-drawn animation to create a unique animation style for the story.
I have a funny Alarm story I was living with my best friend in an apartment and it was my first time living with a short person because she’s 5’4 and I’m 6’4 She set off the smoke detectors and was running around our apartment opening windows, getting air going, but also waving things at the smoke detector trying to get the smoke away to get it to stop I asked her why don’t you just hit the button The look on her face 😳 and she just replied “what button ?” that is when I realized no one in her family was tall enough to even see the smoke detector to realize there was a reset button she didn’t know it existed. I just walked over and hit it, and the noise stopped, and she was completely shocked. 🤣
Some of my family members kiss one another on the lips, lol. It's not weird, but I definitely get how others might think it's weird? Idk. It's not sexual, so it doesn't feel weird or anything and has just been something they've always done. 🤷🏻♀ I get other families don't and that's fine too. I mean, they don't force it though if you turn your face for a cheek kiss. 😂
Also when Rosita dies. 🥹
Agreed
It’s interesting they are not as paired together, because they were the first of the group to get involved (just made out but oh well) and while Rachel said she wasn’t attracted to him when she first met him, she was lying considering she was fantasizing about him lol and Jen and Matthew were the youngest ones and their vibes were always amazing.
The cheesecake, the handcuffs, him hooking her up with his coworkers, the pathetic loser hallway. I wish there was more of them.
is it underrated if the entire fandom anytime there’s a chandler and rachel episode they say OMG THEYRE SO UNDERRATED I LOVE THEM.

They just make stuff up! I've been lied to.

Do not change. Just realise we saw this over a period of 10 years. I would love if you do "The good place" after this.
There are only two things that I can think of that change dramatically in the last seasons. Cheesecake love it
Chandler and Rachel great
Monica of course now known why she wasn’t invited
This is the best rachel and chandler duo episode
I love the cheesecake episode. My favorite scene is Joey pulling out a fork out of his jacket to eat the cheesecake.
Would be great to see your reactions to bloopers of each season
I’ll never understand why Joey and Ross didn’t just go over to Monica’s balcony and entered through her window 😂
The cheesecake episode needs to be studied by doctors. It causes literal cravings. Once, it sent my best friend and I on a Sunday night odyssey to find cheesecake at 11PM. And no, we weren't even high!

Great couple of episodes 😊
Omg when you finish the show you should watch the bloopers they are hilarious 😂😂
I have a funny Alarm story
I was living with my best friend in an apartment and it was my first time living with a short person because she’s 5’4 and I’m 6’4
She set off the smoke detectors and was running around our apartment opening windows, getting air going, but also waving things at the smoke detector trying to get the smoke away to get it to stop
I asked her why don’t you just hit the button
The look on her face 😳 and she just replied “what button ?”
that is when I realized no one in her family was tall enough to even see the smoke detector to realize there was a reset button she didn’t know it existed. I just walked over and hit it, and the noise stopped, and she was completely shocked.
🤣
The cheesecake episode formed my adult life 😂 I won’t go into much detail, but I am the person I am bc of that cheesecake 🤣
This is intriguing
Hi Oscar happy holidays and love your video's keep up the good work.
12:59 Yeah 😂🥹
Lmao
“What do we uuuse to split it?”
