Thank you for uploading this. I spent a good deal of my developmental years here as a child. I always said I'd go back and I never did. I guess it's a good thing, because as you get older and you become familiar with this depraved and dehumanized world we live in now, I know the people I'd go back to see probably wouldn't be there anymore and if they were, they wouldn't be who I remembered them being. The scenery is familiar, although run-down and neglected. That factory, the one with the upholstery sign over it has been abandoned for decades, they're just now conversing about turning it into apartments. There used to be a B.M.X. bike dealer and a Carvel, an Italian bakery, a butchery and a vintage laundromat all in the industrial area as well as Fire Department right on the corner of Academy Avenue. Seeing the O & W Railroad Station abandoned like that always hurt. In four more years it'll officially be fifty years since it was last in service. Anyway, and again, thank you for uploading this, I haven't been there since the late 1980's and this brought me back.
Thank you for not coming back as well with that lame 💩 you spewed there, they have stepped it up in M.Town BIGTIME, Im not saying its the best place to live but its most def not how you just made it sound
If Middletown was a car (follow me with this this illustration), it would be a 1932 Ford Model 18 with a rust patina that has been sitting with the original engine in a barn for a few decades. The bones are all there and it is an amazing historic city that somehow avoids the limelight of preservation.
So glad I came upon your site ! It was awesome to see the streets I walked as a kid . So many of the places I remember have closed and are no longer there which is sad. Can't wait for your next video...would love to see Downtown.
My Hometown! I love your videos, wish you could talk when filming so you can discuss where you are. Can you go down Sprague Avenue, Academy Avenue, Truman Moon, HIgh School and by the old Horton Hospital in your next video?
My family left Middletown in 1957...We moved to Queens, NY...We use to live on Maryland Ave. in Middletown..Us kids would some times go up to the State Hospital, and run around there..Use to be a big rock we use to climb on..It had fools gold all around..I some times wonder if the rock is still there..
I remember Middletown I lived there from nov 03 to like nov 04 lol but it felt way longer pause, then I came to emergency housing I lived there with my family it was on Seward ave from April 06 to Nov 06 I even was in the kid shelter many times up the block from the adult one it was called AFH A Friend House … there was this cooI RA called Steve he was mad chill lol …went to monhagen middle school an Middletown high school , good place to retire or raise ya family…. Oh I lived on 4 Harding st
Spent many yrs ripping n running on these streets almost having a heart attack thinking about some of the crazy shit I did !!! Thank God that's 15yrs behind me !!! The old hippie byrdman 62!!!
Enjoying your videos. Lived in Middletown in the early 2000’s. My family and I really enjoyed living there. Maybe next time make a video in/or around Woodlake Drive and the hospital? Thanks again and keep those videos coming
My dad brought the house according to him for 1$ . It was abandoned an in need of lots of repair. No fixer upper shows in those days. But I still have dreams living there weird !!!will look for a picture from my time an post.
I like Fancher-Davidge Park, in addition to the Dolson Ave area. Been around the entire region. Like the Middletown Farmers Market. Much worse places to live. Actually love Orange County, from "Port" (Port Jervis) to Newburgh revitalized waterfront. It's coming along great for the past 30 years. Peace and love, my friend!
Sad that you totally disregarded all of the lovely parts of Middletown, like the downtown area, Presidential Heights, the many beautiful parks, the schools, the churches, the hospitals and colleges...
Jesus is lord. Repent of your sins, be born again, and turn to him to be saved from Hell! Turn away from all your sins before its too late. I love you and God loves you🙏🏼❤️ r
Tony Boffa’s closed a few years ago if that is what you are referring to. Yeah the guy that uploaded this went through the worst areas. I don’t & wouldn’t want to live in Middletown. I live maybe 10 miles away from Dolson Ave. in a beautiful rural setting. I go to Middletown for amenities.

thanks!! I'll try and pass there next time 👍👍
Hi, I found your videos as there’s a possibility we’ll move nearby and as I do door dash where we are now I wanted to see how Middletown was.
Middletown is a step above Newburgh. And that’s not saying much.
Lol
I've lived in both towns. Middletown is far more than " a step above" Newburgh.

Wow I grew up in this neighborhood. I lived on 95 east main st
My dad brought the house according to him for 1$ . It was abandoned an in need of lots of repair. No fixer upper shows in those days. But I still have dreams living there weird !!!will look for a picture from my time an post.

@@godfrey_of_americait’s very quiet over there especially in the suburb area
Seems like the city went bankrupt
Liberals did what they always do; bled it dry and ran over to the next prospering town so they could run it into the ground also.
cousins, maggies, little joes, switch, turf, and then came mad mothers
depressing
Tony's is still here
