- Our steel joists are there, they were delivered by truck in front of the entrance. We have to handle them to transport them inside, then lift them up to the 2nd floor through the building… 👇
These are HEA 200 and HEA 220 joists, which for their length is still a hell of a weight. Using hoists, slings and trestles, we managed to bring them to their destination.
It was quite a challenge handling such long and heavy joists.
The idea of this video is just to show how we got there.
And at the same time to show that two people, without any particular experience, it is possible on condition that you have calculated everything, thought through and planned the operations.
Warning: What worked for us may not be suitable for other configurations.
We took the time to properly analyze the parameters and constraints related to our situation.
