Join me on a musical journey through the winding streets of Old Jerusalem, as my violin takes on a life of its own and begins to dream about the glory of this ancient city. As I walk through the bustling markets and past the ancient walls, my violin becomes my guide, leading me through the alleyways and up to the mountaintop where I can look out over the entire city.
The music swells with emotion as I play traditional Jewish melodies, capturing the heart and soul of Jerusalem in every note. The sound echoes off the stone walls and reverberates through the streets, carrying with it the hopes and dreams of generations of Jews who have called this city home.
As the sun sets over the city and the stars come out, my violin reaches a crescendo, expressing the deep longing and love I feel for Jerusalem. This city has been through so much over the centuries, yet it still stands as a symbol of hope and resilience for all who call it home.
Join me on this musical journey as my violin dreams about Jerusalem and takes us on a journey through time and space. Let the music carry you away and transport you to this ancient and beautiful city, where the past and present merge into a timeless melody of hope and faith.

אֲגַדֶּלְךָ אֱלהֵי כָל נְשָׁמָה הוא פיוט מסוג "רשות לקדיש" שנכתב על ידי הרב אברהם אבן עזרא.
אגדלך
אֲגַדֶּלְךָ אֱלהֵי כָל נְשָׁמָה וְאֹודְךָ בְּרֹב פַּחַד וְאֵימָה:
בְּעָמְדִי תּוֹךְ קְהָלְךָ צוּר לְרוֹמֵם לְךָ אֶכְרַע וְאֶכּוֹף רֹאשׁ וְקוֹמָה:
רְקִיעֵי רוּם הֲלֹא נָטָה בְּמִבְטָא וְהַָאָרֶץ יְסָדָהּ עַל בְּלִימָה:
הֲיוּכַל אִישׁ חֲקוֹר אֶת סוֹד יוֹצְרוֹ (י"ג: סוד אל יצרו) וּמִי הוּא זֶה בְּכָל קֵדְמָה וְיָמָּה:
מְרוֹמָם הוּא עֲלֵי כָל פֶּה וְלָשׁוֹן אֲשֶׁר הִפְלִיא וְעָשָׂה כֹל בְּחָכְמָה:
וְיִתְגַּדַּל בְּגוֹי קָדוֹשׁ וְעֶלְיוֹן וְיִתְקַדַּשׁ שְׁמֵיהּ רַבָּא בְּעָלְמָא:
מחבר הפיוט מתאר יהודי העומד למול אלוהיו בפחד ואימה, ומתקשה להסביר את גודלו של האל, מכיוון שאין אפשרות לתאר את גודלו האינסופי, והלא ניתן להשגה או תיאור במילים, הוא מסביר את הגיחוך בסברה האנושית שאדם בן תמותה יוכל לתאר את מי שברא אותו; אך הוא בכל זאת פונה לשבח את הבורא ומתאר את החלק אותו הוא יכול להשיג וכפי שאר בני האדם, שאצלם האל מרומם ומשובח הוא בפי כל פה על חכמתו הנפלאה שניכרת במעשיו ובברואיו.
הפיוט מסיים בתפילה המיוסדת על תפילת קדיש, שיתגדל ויתקדש שמו של הבורא בעמו - עם ישראל, ולעיני כל העולם כולו. הפיוט, שמסיים בתפילה המבוססת על הקדיש, משמש גם כפתיח לקדיש בקהילות מסוימות לפני תפילת שחרית.

"I will magnify You, God, the God of all souls" (or simply "I will magnify You - אגדלך") is a piyyut of the "Reshut Lekadesh" genre, written by Rabbi Avraham Ibn Ezra. Originally, the piyyut was intended to serve as an introduction to the recitation of Kaddish before the blessings of the morning Shema prayer, but over the years it has been used for a variety of purposes.
The author of the piyyut describes a Jew standing before his God in fear and awe, struggling to explain the greatness of the Almighty. Because it is impossible to describe His infinite size and indescribable nature with words, he explains the limited understanding that mortal man has of his Creator. Nevertheless, he praises the Creator and describes the part that he can attain, as well as that of other humans who recognize the wisdom of the Almighty, as evident in His works and creations.
The piyyut concludes with a prayer based on the Kaddish, to magnify and sanctify the name of the Creator in the eyes of all the people of Israel and the whole world. The piyyut, which ends with a prayer based on the Kaddish, also serves as an opening for the Kaddish in certain communities before the morning prayer.
This piyyut by Ibn Ezra is common among Eastern Jewish communities, including among the Jews of Chalav who sing the song in their requests with alternating tunes every Sabbath, and among the Jews of Babylon who recite it after the Sunday Kabbalat Shabbat prayer. Among the Jewish communities of Georgia, it is customary to sing the piyyut with a special tune before the evening prayer after the end of the Sabbath.
