With all due respect, HOW did Jimmy Kleinasser get missed?! Not even a honorable mention but Kirt Cousins and Drama Diggs did?
Jimmy was the one of the best dirty work Vikings of all time.
Truth
Don't put a guy in the ring of honor just because they had an above average career. If you do that, then the honor is cheapened. And no on Favre. He had one good season. Based on that logic, Case Keenum should be in. Save it for Hutchinson, who had a HOF career.
Finally someone speaking some sense. Most of these players were just good enough to hang on for a few years and never really accomplished anything. If that's the criteria, in 100 years the Ring will be filled with a bunch of names nobody will recognize without having to look them up. The only time I remember Chad Greenway is when someone mentions his name. Oh yeah, he was a LB here once. What did he do? I don't know. He played 10 years, and 7 of those he was productive, and the final 3 they kept bringing him back because he was fan fav? We only made the playoffs 4 times in those 10 years and only won 1 playoff game, which came in the Favre year.

I know it’s still new and fresh. But wow… rewatching that Jared Allen ring of honor was 🔥🟣🟡 the cowboy narrator, the ride out, Jared was a true Minnesotan 🥲

I had almost this exact problem happen to the guy sitting next to me on the plane he passed out because of low blood sugar and I had to get a flight attendant and they announced it over the speakers for a medical professional I got free drinks bought for me the whole rest of the flight

Leaving Sunday morning for Vegas, going through Denver driving with 8 3 ball bowling bags , 1 2 ball bag , my luggage , a cooler loaded with Celcius drinks and a fan.
Minnesota Sports Fan was able to confirm with the LA County jail that Jordan Addison was never actually booked into their system. So while he was detained on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, he was never booked, had no mug shot, etc. The reason why? According to MSF, Addison was given a “Cite and Release.” According to Shouse California Law Firm, “In California, cite and release is the practice of police issuing you a citation for suspected unlawful conduct, but not bringing you to jail for a formal booking. Instead, you are released on the condition that you make a signed promise show up to court, later on. The process is used mainly for low-level offenses, such as misdemeanors or infractions.”

Everson Griffen should be on the list and AP is my number 1 hands down and its not even close that early 2000-2010s the most dominant offensive weapon.

The Vikings need to retire number 22 after Smith retires in honor of both him and Paul Krause.

Absolutely Steve Hutchinson. Arguably the greatest lineman we’ve had in the last 30 years. I’d also take Eric Kendricks over Diggs. I think the manner in which you leave matters too. Diggs had a great run and a great moment but he never peaked as high as Jefferson, Moss, or Carter.
Jim Kleinsasser could be an honorable mention for my money too.

Everson Griffen should be in there imo. Was definitely a better player than Rudolph & 2014-2017 he had 43 sacks in 4 years.

As far as Addison is concerned. If he is convicted of DUI he should be required to spend 3 months of weekends in jail. Maybe a tuesday and Wednesday if they have a Monday game!

I think the Ring is getting watered down with a lot of these names. How many of these players are going to be remembered 100 years from now? Not very many because most of them didn't really accomplish anything. Chad Greenway? The only thing he accomplished was being just good enough to hang on for awhile. The problem with most of the more recent players (80's onward) was the lack of playoff success. There are no memorable playoff runs with gritty players who gutted it out and carried the team. The Ring shouldn't be about regular season volume stats IMO.

Hammering Hank Thomas. With a ring, he’s a HOF. Compare the stats of Sapp, Cortez Kennedy, and Henry Thomas. It’s closer than you think
Henry Thomas is the guy who made John Randle the player he became. Those two raised more hell in the middle then any tandem in Vikings history minus the 70’s guys maybe

NFL and NFL teams have to stop honoring players with off the field problems regardless of their career. We can't one week complain about young players stupid decisions and the next say off the field issues (domestic abuse, canning a child) don't matter when it comes to the leagues highest awards.

I'm a die hard Vikings fan never heard of Bobbie Bryant so yea not a fan, he played in a era not to be rude that was quite trash with terrible QB play.
If you call yourself a die hard and don’t know who Bobby Bryant is then you’re not a die hard. Get to know your Vikings history before your time and I mean that in a nice way because there were some dam good players on this team that didn’t get the recognition they deserved including Bryant
