Uhhhhhhh, based on everything I've seen of crocs and gators in the wild, in rivers, swamps, ponds, whatever, there tends to be loads of them just chilling. I only ever see them alone while travelling from place to place.
And lots of reptiles are specifically communal, huddling together in piles for warmth 🐍. Lots of them lay all over eachother on basking rocks 🐢, or dangle off branches over rivers by the dozens or even hundreds🦎.
They might not be pack animals but not all reptiles are solitary or aggressive 🐊🐊🐊
However, individuals might be. She was probably kept alone to avoid pregnancy, to prevent potential fighting between animals if one becomes aggressive, and because feeding 2 crocs is expensive if you can get away with only feeding one 🫤

@@pvp6077 i dont know where you're getting this info but this is not hard to look up.
there is a big difference between being a social animal and tolerating others of your own species. for example, I keep a corn snake, and yes, if you introduce two young snakes, they learn to tolerate each other and occasionally "huddle each other for warmth".... (you do know reptiles are cold-blooded yes? there is no warmth to huddle for.) but it doesnt make their lives better.
some reptiles are easier to cohabitate in a group than others, i think that yes, turtles are a good example.
but crocs and alligators, lizards, snakes, those are mostly animals that like their own space.
this is also captivity we're talking about here. there's only so much space you can give these animals, space that would not be this limited in the wild. with crocs that are generally quite territorial, having a big group just wouldnt make sense. also, if you're keeping an animal, you want it to be as healthy and comfy as it can. which doesn't work if you have a smaller croc in the same habitat that is getting bullied daily by the bigger croc.
so what im trying to say, maybe think twice and post once, you know? like, do i have info on this, or am i seeing things from my limited perspective and feel like typing a comment rn. i dont like commenting exactly for this reason, but i also dont like it when people measure everything against their own perspectives so i felt like reminding people these animals have different needs than us and maybe trust a little in the people who spend their lives on these animals that they know what theyre doing

Crocs are archosaurs, a subtype, though. It really differs per species.
For pets, we keep them in small spaces where there's no room to choose...
