Your face from in the plane to out the plane was the very definition of what Will Smith said about skydiving! He said when you get to the door it's 'Terror, terror, terror' but when you are out of the door all fear goes away and it is BLISS! I've also done a tandem skydive which can be seen on my channel. Fear left my body before I even entered the plane BUT I got in the plane a full 2 hours after my name was originally called to go and get kitted up! Once kitted up though there was no going back and I enjoyed my flight from take off in the plane to landing under parachute. I now wish that I had done this sooner and I look forward to doing many more skydives next year when the skydiving season starts. I recommend Indoor Skydiving for those thinking about doing a skydive. I did a couple of Indoor Skydives first and I think that helped me to get the feel for the free-fall.
I just wanted to tell you, how much you inspired me! Since I saw your project I try to face my fears everytime when I come across one.. two weeks ago I also "cuddled" with a snake :D. And I live in Germany... so YOU are inspiring thousand of people..all over the WORLD! congrats, you did it! you jumped out of a plane! have you ever believed to conquer so much fears in real? you can be so f*cking proud on yourself! Keep Going! :)
'I could never do this' is what I said 3 years ago but I have since done a tandem skydive which can be viewed on my channel. Once you have got the first jump out of the way you will probably want to do many more. I certainly do! I recommend Indoor Skydiving to start with as you 'free-fall' at head/chest height after walking into the wind chamber. So even if you never do a proper skydive at least you will know what the free-fall feels like! By the way, when you leave that plane there is no feeling of falling! Seriously it is like you are floating and not falling. Once you are out of that plane it's actually not scary at all as can be seen on her face in the video!
I can tell you from experience that I was PETRIFIED on the morning of my jump BUT it is not scary at all! After landing you wonder why you were scared! And then you want to get back up there and do another jump! Firstly, when you fall out of the plane the forward motion of the plane means that you should feel more of a curved drop rather than a sudden drop. It's not like a rollercoaster. Secondly, falling at around 125 mph may sound terrifying but it actually feels as though you are floating due to the air pressure pushing against your body. It is BLISS! I certainly want to do more skydives next year. I recommend doing Indoor Skydiving before doing a proper skydive if you can. With Indoor Skydiving you walk into the wind chamber and then 'free-fall' at head/chest height. No real height involved. I did 2 Indoor Skydives before doing my proper skydive from 10,000ft and I like to think that the Indoor Skydives prepared me in some way for the proper skydive. If you want to view my Indoor and 10,000ft skydive experiences then they are on my channel along with my Zip-line and Wing Walk experiences. Standing on top of a bi-plane as it's flying around... now THAT is scary! It's like a rollercoaster without rails!
Avril Guarino Hi Avril, it is a new device that just came out to the market, it helps you either calm down or have more energy by "stimulating nerves on your head and face using low level electrical pulses to signal specific areas of the brain." Here's the webiste www.thync.com/
Fair play to you for doing a bungee jump! Oddly, I've done a 10,000ft skydive which seems safer than a bungee jump to me! I will do a bungee though as I just looked to book one but the venue is closed until January 12th. It's an indoor venue so I was hoping it would be open this week. Oh well, just have to do more Indoor Skydiving until then! If you haven't yet done a skydive then I recommend you do Indoor Skydiving before doing a proper skydive. That's what I did and I think it helped to prepare me in some small way for the proper jump. With Indoor Skydiving you just walk into the wind chamber and then you 'free-fall' at head/chest height with an instructor to help you. No real height involved. I can say from experience that the Indoor 'free-fall' feels very similar to the proper free-fall. As for the proper skydive when you leave that plane there is no 'sudden drop' and it doesn't feel like a rollercoaster. Due to the forward motion of the plane it is more of a curved drop. The free-fall feels like you are floating on a bed of air as the air pushes against your body. Yes you will be scared before jumping. I was PETRIFIED before I entered that plane but it is BLISS when you are out of that plane! You will most likely want to go again. I certainly will do more skydives next year! My Indoor and 10,000ft skydive can be seen on my channel along with my zip-line and wing walk experiences. Standing atop a Boeing Stearman bi-plane while it is flying around is like being on a rollercoaster with no rails and it is INCREDIBLY scary!
