clearly, you're the kind of badass wheeler that knows everything and are so quick to judge everyone else who isn't you or your friends. when it comes time for you to break, i hope you film it so that others can return the favor.
Thats awesome you picked up a stranded group and helped them along and let them tag along with you guys! I wonder how many others passed them and passed them up? Good going everyone!!
Honestly, Who could give this video a thumbs down? it is simply amazing. Not only the courageous drivers who navigated their vehicles through that impossible terrain but also to all of the camera operators and editor. I really liked how they detailed the upgrades on each of the jeeps. Super Job!!
I just wanted to say that I think its awesome of you and your group to save the Canadians. From what I have seen, you didn't chastise them for not knowing what they were getting into. But you befriended them. I was pleasantly surprised to see then at the end of the Video. :)
I was working in the Reno and Placerville areas in 2009 and checked out Lake Tahoe while I was there. I had no idea the Rubicon was right there! Awesome Video! On our Jeep trip to Drummond Island, MI, we came across a British couple that needed some help with their Jeep. Glad to know you not only can depend on a jeep, but jeepers too!
I live in the middle of Kansas and my JK has never even been able to dream about seeing trails this beautiful! I stumbled upon these videos and WOW! What a great community! Also, excellent editing on the videos! They seem better than professional!

Absolutely awesome work guys, 4x4ing is half the fun, meeting the people, making those memories and adventuring, cannot wait for my up coming trip, fantastic vehicles as well.
You make some of the best videos I have ever seen. Love all the footage and you hit some amazing trails! Keep up the great work..your an inspiration to us all!
I think I got wood watching these! Best jeep videos I've seen yet, and I've searched a bunch. Sounds like you got a good bunch of guys, with good souls. Two more years of grad school then my Rubicon awaits. Hopefully they'll have the Pentastar by then...or hopefully the diesel!
I will never forget the Rubicon!! After my friend's CJ7 shutdown we made it all the way to Cadillac Hill in my ZJ, but then couldn't make it up and moved out of the way only to watch a Wagoneer flip over with his wife and 2 kids inside. We hooked his winch to a tree to keep them from sliding down the rocks, then used a high jack and chains to flip the Wagoneer back over so they could repair the front drive shaft. We ran out of daylight so we back tracked, back through Rubicon Springs, got an electric fuel pump from someone, camped, hit the trail first light in the ZJ and made it back to the CJ, got it running, almost made it out then the ZJ front axle broke! Paid a rock buggy $100 to tow me out but he drug me over stuff that caused more damage.
Great series..... Looks like an amazing group of people. Kudos for saving the people stuck on the trail. Hopefully they learned a valuable lesson.....I couldn't imagine there fate w/o yo guys. Nice job
This is a great video of your group's aventure on the Rubicon! Saving the Canucks just made this one of the best vid's I've ever seen. Pay it forward! I have saved a few while out there. It's great to see others out there willing sacrifice in order to make other's lives better. It's very self-gratifying ! I hope to run into you guys out there some day!
Just watched all 3 parts, man that was a great film and trip!!! Subd and looking for more of your stuff! Thanks for sharing Wayalife and everyone else!
the Rubicon seems to be a beautiful place and for some people it will be a chance of a life time. some people may never see it and experience the amazing ride! maybe one ill be there ! great video !
3 of the JK's you see including mine are running off road evolution long arms with their coil over system. 2 others are running off road evolution coil overs with teraflex control arms and most of the other are running teraflex kits and full traction kits.
best 30 mins ive spent on you tube! wish i could have participated in a trip like this. Now im left here at 11pm in Sydney Australia wanting to go wheelin in my JK. kind of got me worried after seeing that rubicon break his housing. I got 37s on a tricked up D30. havent broken anything yet but when I do ill be getting something like a dynatrac 44 again great video thanks for sharing
Me and a buddy are doing the Rubicon Sept 5th thru the 7th or 8th of this year. I can't wait to check this adventure off of my bucket list. Maybe we'll see some of you up there!
I just watched all 3 videos again for like the 10th time! Man, you guys look like you're having such a good time. This is one of those videos you watch and get the chill bumps because you can tell how passionate about Jeeping you guys are! I love my XJ, and anytime i can wrench on it myself and work with my hands to learn new things, i just love it! Soon i will learn how to weld! Such a well put together video, its commercial worthy for sure! Big ups to Project-JK :D
@Superfunkbass i have seen bone stock JK's run the rubicon. it's super tough but, it can be done. regarding the canadians, they told us that there were several other groups who passed them up earlier in their adventure. apparently, one group actually made them nervous. we were glad that we were able to help out.
Fantastic vid, have watched a few wayalife vids now and they are all top notch. Great scenery, great rigs and great bunch of people. Big thumbs up from little NZ. Cheers
The trail repairs you guys do always amaze me. Amazing video, and it looks like a great time. Really glad to see the longer trail vids are back! They seemed to die off for a while there :o
So awesome that you helped those Canadians out. That's a memory that'll last a lifetime for the both of your groups. But man....did I see that right? Did they have two Jeeps and neither had a winch?
Love it guys, keep it up with the amazing video's. I'm always looking forward to the next one! Incredible fix, that ready welder looks like it works really well. I'd like to see you do a full review on it.
This has been an absolute treat to watch. Im partial to TJs, but I would love to have an unlimited JK now after watching this video. Will have my venture my 03 here someday!
Amazing job on this series of videos. The lil lady has some talent with the editing. We are plotting an east coast run out there in the near future. This is some killer motivation.
Of all the videos I've wasted my life watching on TH-cam, this one (or the series of...!) was the best I've EVER watched. You guys did a great job, looked like a ton of fun! Pretty sure I was smiling the whole time watching this series, hehe. Thanks for the awesome video and the cool adventure. :) *thumbs*
Awesome video! I was looking for a good couple minute video on rubicons and came across this very well put together film, very impressed! Except now I want a rubicon even more than I already did....
excellent work on the trail. i will definitely have to learn how to make repairs out of what i have. i plan on going on the rubicon in a few years with some friends. looks like you all had an awesome time :)
t.y. very much for fast reply and enlightment..please keep us-your followers always be motivated to keep"jeepin" the way you guys do.!!(second thought we know we are "rookies" lol)...t.y.
Just watched all 3 parts...Awesome videos! So cool that you took in those poor noobies...Hard to believe somebody else did not? The Rubicon is no joke and it is relentless . Especially for a first timer...Never mind a lone first timer! I bet they come better equipped next time! :) Great video man!
Wow ! Once again another awesome video- a real credit to everybody involved and of course their beautifully modified Jeeps .. I'm very jealous - one day I'll get tires taller than 33 inch..ahh..one day...lol.. Also, I'm betting those Canadians were fairly relieved a convoy of JK rockcrawlers just happened to be passing by and willing to offer assistance when they were struggling, by the looks of it they were pretty close to being in some serious trouble. Thanks again and keep up the great work.
incredible videos guys.. besides the jeep. the trail , the trip i love how you cooparate with each other and how you helped the NON-modyfied hehe the best Jeep videos on youtube imo. kisses from Greece :)
@tozovr for sure the JK is the most capable off road vehicle i've owned. i am pretty sure that any of the newer models that have the trail rated badge had been dragged through the rubicon. i know that the old KJ liberty has been dragged through :)
@msiordie44 yes, it was a factory JK dana 44. if you can believe it, this was the 2nd one he broke in about 3 years. we later found that one other person in our group broke his housing too but because he had off road evolution magnum 44 sleeves installed, the break was not catastrophic like this. it's so wierd as in all my years, i have never seen axle housing break like this - bend for sure, but not shatter.
clearly, you're the kind of badass wheeler that knows everything and are so quick to judge everyone else who isn't you or your friends. when it comes time for you to break, i hope you film it so that others can return the favor.
i agree who would give this a thumbs down? This video has the perfect amount of voice over, music, and ambient noise.
Thank you for summarizing the vehicles in attendance!! That helps the beginners tremendously!
Just watched this video series 14 years later, holds up very well and you've only gotten better.
Humbled that you would say as much and glad you can still appreciate a video of ours from 14 years ago.
Agree with you 100%
Thats awesome you picked up a stranded group and helped them along and let them tag along with you guys! I wonder how many others passed them and passed them up? Good going everyone!!
thank you, we really do appreciate it
thank you, we're so glad that you like our videos :)
A wrench and some duct tape can fix anything! Hard core trail repair there, that was cool!
Honestly, Who could give this video a thumbs down? it is simply amazing. Not only the courageous drivers who navigated their vehicles through that impossible terrain but also to all of the camera operators and editor. I really liked how they detailed the upgrades on each of the jeeps. Super Job!!
SoleiCapri Thank you. There are haters everywhere and haters will hate :)

This has been an absolute treat to watch. Im partial to TJs, but I would love to have an unlimited JK now after watching this video. Will have my venture my 03 here someday!
I would recommend that you get a Dynatrac Pro Rock 44 to replace it. If you're playing with 40" tires, a Pro Rock 60
Watching all three parts, and it's really making me want a Rubicon :D I want to be able to go on rides like this, and have an overall good time!
Ahh....the joy of welding with no gas...lol
Great, well put together vids.
Amazing job on this series of videos. The lil lady has some talent with the editing. We are plotting an east coast run out there in the near future. This is some killer motivation.

nitto trail grappler mt's are what i would recommend. essentially the same tire.
@tozovr for sure the JK is the most capable off road vehicle i've owned. i am pretty sure that any of the newer models that have the trail rated badge had been dragged through the rubicon. i know that the old KJ liberty has been dragged through :)
