    I learned a lot as a pharm tech- not positive. Also, after reacting to a vaccine years ago as well as having a pet react to a vaccine, I have a whole new perspective on Big Pharma.

    Stopped using the flea chemicals after my one of my cats kept getting bad reactions to them. Neck practically became one big massive scab that would irritate her non stop which made it even worse. Now that I stopped using them it’s like night and day with her neck. Still a little scabby from flea bites but nowhere near as bad.

    The Vet gave me Bravecto for my cats. I never even gave it to them.

    Bravecto caused my 9 year old Maine Coon Thorin Thunderpaws (best kitty ever) to have a stroke, which eventually lead to him developing ideopathic pyothorax disease a year later. He died May 11th of this year. I will never forgive the makers of that horrible drug for what it did to my beloved boy. The vet who sold it to me claimed it had no known side effects, but it DID!
    I miss him terribly every day. I lost so much when I lost him.💔

    Why do people become veterinarians to prescribe harmful medications to our animals and recommend Hill Science Diet and other processed kibble, they should be in jail whoever allows it and whoever's involved with it because the Vets now what they're doing

      I'm assuming they are taught by big pharma indirectly with grants to veterinary schools.

    My lovely adoptive Newfoundland,Rupert , was given a non injectable for flea & tick & now has leg tremors. I’m not sure what type was given( I know that all types/ brands can have horrible ADRs) does magnesium help?

    This was a great rant to many people like the chemicals because it’s so easy and convenient and just because it’s easy does not mean that it is good. My dogs have had enough bad reactions to things that there is no way I would ever use chemical, flea and tick treatment anymore. I stopped years ago.

    Why do people think it's acceptable to poison their pets?

    • @beatriceletrice
      @beatriceletrice 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      In Australia we have paralysis ticks that kill pets. There’s really no option but to use this if you want your pet alive.

  • @petsintheraw
    @petsintheraw 11 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    Here in Australia, the main questions customers are asking: How much does it cost and Is it available for cats 😳 hopefully the cost of this will deter many pet owners from choosing this option.

    • @beatriceletrice
      @beatriceletrice 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      It’s cheaper than the chews and spot on

  • @beatriceletrice
    @beatriceletrice 10 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    I agree when you give it, you can’t take it back. It’s a long time, however tick prevention in most places in aus is a non negotiable if you want your animal alive.

    • @jodie01
      @jodie01 5 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I disagree that harsh chemicals are the only way to keep your animals safe from ticks. Living in West Aus, we may not have the paralysis ticks that you have in the eastern states, but our tick and flea varieties are no less likely to bite! I have lived on a natural bush property for 35 years and have never had a flea infestation, nor any ticks on my animals (never even seen a tick here ). I don’t use flea and tick meds on my animals.
      To repel fleas and tick, I use a combination of the following:
      * A healthy, varied raw diet that includes pre, pro and post biotics.
      * Avoiding meds and treatments that nuke the immune system or gut microbiome.
      * Natural flea and tick repellents (rose geranium oil works best, smells beautiful and keeps mozzies away. Safe for humans too!).
      * Rotate through different natural products to prevent pests developing resistance.
      * My dog brushes through gardens planted heavily with lavender, geranium and rosemary in order to reach the bushland.
      * I spend time checking my dog for any signs of fleas and ticks, twice a day, including all those warm spots where pests like to hide.
      Yes, it takes more time and effort than simply applying a poison to my dog every 1, 3, 6, or twelve months… but I’m also not poisoning my dog! It should be noted that other dogs in my neighbourhood are fed kibble and given monthly spot-ons or chews for fleas and ticks and their humans are all complaining that the treatments no longer work, while they fight through yet another flea infestation. Meanwhile, even the bandicoots and goannas are flea and tick free on my property LOL. My dog also camp-toured Australia with me for 18 months, with not a flea or tick on him, so I know these methods work in the eastern states as well.
      I'm not saying my methods are the best or only options, but they are valid, non-toxic options that actually work. They also genuinely REPEL fleas and ticks, rather than taking 12 hours to kill those that bite your pet like products such as Bravecto do. One large paralysis tick (4mm or larger) can affect your animal in less than 12 hours, so they are not totally protected by these poisons. Calling those products "preventatives" lulls pet parents into a false sense of security.

    Can you remember when Trump said to inject bleach to get rid of Covid. This product reminds me a lot of this.

    • @WRTruthMatters
      @WRTruthMatters 13 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      During an April 2020 media briefing, Trump asked members of the government's coronavirus task force to look into whether disinfectants could be injected inside people to treat COVID-19. When a reporter asked in a follow-up question whether cleaning products like bleach and isopropyl alcohol would be injected into a person, President Trump said those products would be used for sterilizing an area, not for injections. At no point did Trump explicitly tell people they could or should inject bleach into their bodies.
      Saying that he did is as stupid as giving pets toxic so called medications.

    How do you feel about Sentinel Spectrum? I meant to ask for plain Interceptor and accidentally used the wrong name. I can't afford to replace it right this second but I'm terrified to give it to my dogs, one of whom has already had seizures from something wrong with her food and one that has IBD. I wasn't able to get them in for their vet appointment to test for heartworm this year until now. They're negative but I'm afraid of the consequences if I delay too. Should I just wait till I get paid next month (on the 3rd) and replace it?

      @@wendywaserman1892 Not for heartworm. And we now live in an area where it's relatively prevalent. I know Judy recommended plain Milbemycin (interceptor) if you have to use heartworm preventative, but I accidentally asked for the wrong one.
