Great skills but it looks so complex! :-)

FM8 is complex, it's a very deep synth, and because it's FM synthesis it's set up a different from other popular soft synths. But this what makes it so unique, you can do so much stuff with it you simply couldn't do with a lot of other synths!

this is a great video, but the low frequency hum is killing me! haha I'm into helping you guys clean up your dialogue in post, because I like what your doing and need to master FM8 & Reaktor. Maybe we can work out a trade?

I recored this video whilst on the move, and my headset was a bit dodgy. Mostly now, I'm recording with an SE2200a mic and an Apogee Duet. I do still have a headset, as it's much easier to record screencasts this way, but a much better headset, so cleaner recordings.

***** Ok, well let me know if you have any audio issues with any other videos. There is no reason to leave that sort of noise in a tutorial video when it can be quickly and easily remedied, especial a video relating to audio. ;)

yeah hear you. Even some high end headset's pick up noise when recording, it's a balance of reducing the hum without killing the audio and keeping the voice sounding natural.

***** exactly! and it can easily be achieved, especially with this sort of low-frequency noise. Shoot me the video above, and I will take the hum out for you. No charge, and you can re-upload if you want. Please, I just really want to watch this tutorial without the hum. Thx!

Yeah it's not hard to take out the hum, you have the hum reduction setting in Screenflow, or you can use a separate tool like RX2. Hum's obviously much more noticeable when you turn the volume right up, especially in headphones, so maybe just view it on a lower volume. I'm back end of next week, so I can send you then if want. But in all honesty, we have 1000's of video's across our network with hundred of thousands of views and you're the first person to have any issue with the audio quality.
