Tekken 8 | Parry Hwoarang

This video is specifically for characters that have parries/reversals.
Keep in mind that while I used all the strings in this video, that doesn't mean the parries should be used in all circumstances. For example, there's no point in using a parry against a launch punishable move, especially if the reward/risk is way low. The same goes for high attacks in which case, ducking and launching would ultimately be the better option. This is one of the reasons why I kept the hit properties and frame data in this video. In some cases, your character may be able to option select strings if the opponent likes to abuse a particular mix-up.
Characters with sabakis and reversals (used synonymously as parries) include Leo, Nina, Paul, Lee, Jun, Asuka, King, Azucena, Feng, Leroy, Lili, Shaheen, Zafina, Steve etc.
Depending on the property of the string and how good your character's parries are, the reward will be worth it.
In this video, I made note of strings that are delayable. This is important as delaying the string will affect whether the parry connects as it is only active for a short time. Some strings can only be parried with fast parry start-ups. Leo's sabaki and other characters with built-in sabakis would also follow the same principle. In theory, slower parries can be used against strings that require a fast start-up if the string is delayed but it's better to use what you know works than to overthink a game where there's so much going on as is. Moves that involve mix-ups with strings will be noted in future videos when applicable.

Easiest match up as Leo main, Ub+1 * 4 kill this guy offence completely. and Leo range control is superior to Hwo.
