I believe that the riff he is talking about at 7:10 is played as follows in the album version: A string: 7-7-7-7-6-4-6-side from 4 to 2-pull off from 4 to 2 then on the E string: 2x pull off from 2 to 0 and 2x pull off from 3 to 0. You’ll have to figure out the rhythm on your own but hopefully this helps!
Oh my gosh! Thank you so much for uploading this. I'm starting to learn guitar and this my all-time fav song by The Backseat Lovers. I really appreciate the time you put into this video to share you skills and art!
Thank you so much for this tutorial its great One thing im struggling to figure out is the chords in the short instrumental after “we were just a couple of posers with guitars, that were always out of tune”
i wasn’t sure what that was either, but now i’m pretty certain it just goes back and forth from E to Amaj7 twice (relative to the capo ofc) before hitting the verse progression again
yeah, so Josh might go G#m / Gm / F#m on that walk down, but to my ear it sounds like G#m / G major (with bottom two strings open) / F#m. it’s a small nuance, but it sounds pretty cool!
i suck at explaining strumming patterns, but i’ll try my best lol. so the first chorus on the “you had my back and i had yours” line you just heavy down strum once on each beat, 4 times for each chord-if that makes any sense. the second chorus is more full and it’s just a Down Down Up Down Up, Down Down Up Down Up
@@yoshi_julio Ooh, that’s a fun one to play. The chords are C, Am, and F most of the song. There’s a Dm on the “you didn’t have the right to take this from me” I’ll make a video soon if I remember!
i’m actually so insanely grateful that you did this i’ve been looking for so long to find a tutorial
you bet! i was in the same boat so once i finally figured something out i thought the least i could do was share it :)

What the small change at 9:52 is it just the E major shape in between the change ? At least looks like it.

thanks brother preciate dis- you got some long aaa fingers too lol
yeah i’m 6’4, got huge hands 😂
what’s the strumming you’re doing for the chorus?

Can you post the tabs? It doesn’t sound the same when I do it, I feel like I’m doing it wrong or something
Snowbank blues? Maybe??

What’s the finger picking pattern for the literal first notes
wdym? like that little lick before the chords on the studio version of the song? or the intro part that i started with in the video?
standard tuning?
