About The Wheel Of Time: The Wheel of Time is one of the most popular and enduring fantasy series of all-time, with over 90 million books sold. Set in a sprawling, epic world where magic exists and only certain women are allowed to access it, the story follows Moiraine (Rosamund Pike), a member of the incredibly powerful all-female organization called the Aes Sedai, as she arrives in the small town of Two Rivers. There, she embarks on a dangerous, world-spanning journey with five young men and women, one of whom is prophesied to be the Dragon Reborn, who will either save or destroy humanity.
Based on Robert Jordan’s best-selling fantasy novels, The Wheel of Time was adapted for television by executive producer/showrunner Rafe Judkins. Larry Mondragon and Rick Selvage of iwot productions, Mike Weber, Ted Field of Radar Pictures, Darren Lemke, Marigo Kehoe, and Uta Briesewitz will also serve as executive producers, with Briesewitz set to direct the first two episodes. Rosamund Pike will serve as producer and Harriet McDougal and Brandon Sanderson as consulting producers. The Wheel of Time is co-produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television.

Looking at Moiraine's face, she was like "Damn, how am I gonna explain this to Siuan?!" 😂😂
Lord hahahahahhahq
What do u mean by that
@@ndo533that they died and brought back to life by an unsuspecting wisdom & had to exorcise Logain
This is so stupid
@LaytonBM nobody died, (well apart from the green sister), what Moraine would be embarrassed to explain to Siuan is that she'd accidentally discovered the single most powerful channeler the Aes Sedai had ever seen.....
Bar the discovery of the Dragon Reborn, Nynaeve is the single most powerful channeler the forces of light have seen in several millenia. She's an atom bomb.
Definitely deviates from the books, but I wouldn’t change a thing. A phenomenal episode of television right here.
But Logaine seeing her weave Saidar? That is just not how the one power works?
@@syedhassaniftikhar6560 He didn’t see weaves. At most all he saw was light, which is canon. Rafe confirmed this in BTS commentary.
His reaction is to the blinding light and power evident
@@syedhassaniftikhar6560 according to the books. the show has creative license to deviate from source material if it serves the plot, which it did here. I'm glad he saw it because it tied into earlier foreshadowing and created ambiguity over the identity of the DB.

@@syedhassaniftikhar6560 but that’s because the soul was originally a man. Him being reincarnated into a woman didn’t separate him from his soul which is tied to Saidin
I hope Nynaeve can learn how to channel the one power, she would be a force to be reckoned with!
I don't want to spoil it, but don't worry, you won't be disappointed at this point ;)
She seems useless. Only channel for Lan.
Just just useless 😢
news flash, she doesnt.
she well, and she will ;)
Favorite episode right here. 🥰
Same!!! Nyneve is a boss!
Wait for Episode 7
I personally enjoyed this scene despite not knowing what in the world was happening for the rest of the show. Lol.
They did this scene so beautifully! 💕💕💕
So…could Logain see that Power? Cos he shouldn’t be able to. He shields his eyes and calls it “a radiant sun” so he clearly sees something. Him being able to see it is a BIG deal.
Right? Cause um i dont know if the writers know this but channelers are not supposed to feel the opposite weave.
he does, those are not the weaves but rather the effect of them, some kind of healing light.
the best of whole season, unlike other characters Nynaeve is kind of umbrageous like i am, so human
It's the only time in the entire TV series where Nynaeve was actually useful.
She frustrated the crap out of me in season 2
@@8lollipop97 bruh she was so damn useless and a burden in season 2!!!
To be honest none of the kids were useful.
I'm sorry to hear that for the TV version. In the books she was as important as every other character, each vital to the final solution.
I can name another, which is when she channeled in the ways to defend the group against the black wind, but in regards to your comment, the writers aren’t doing her justice as she is one of the most badass characters in the books, Rand is stronger but not without reason as he’s the dragon.
Then you got her sat doing nothing all finale in the second season xD
I reckon, not sure if it was intentional though.
All the better for when she finally breaks her block.
I think they are saving it because she's so powerful. If you've read the books, she does something extremely powerful with Rand. I dont think the show runners will deviate from that part. It was too epic
They did that to concentrate more on Egwene, I think, cause in season one she barely even used her power
@@mhesidencelove that attitude about it, even though I was kinda disappointed. but then again if a show doesn't disappoint your audience sometimes you won't be able to challenge them.😅

If you go by the books, you can still sense it, but never touch it. It's only in a stedding that the three powers are gone.
It is that ability to sense the source but inability to touch it that causes severed channellers to die quickly.
How sure are you of that? :)

Having read comments from viewers of the Witcher, WOT and Rings of Power, don't think those people will ever understand. At least not until they grow up a little
@bradleyware2873 how does this scene deviate from the books? Never read it so very curious
@@ndo533This scene and location isn't in the books at all. I don't think they even meet other aes sedai until the second book, save for Rand, and only Rand sees the bad guy here and at a distance at that.
The whole episode is completely made up and was never part of the story.@@ndo533
I understand some changes need to be made for screen adaptions. Yet many good books have been ruined by changes that completely DO NOT NEED TO BE DONE, the end result is wich the movie 'fails' considerably.
I do hope loghain gets a larger role in season 2 onwards.
loghain is a flea.
He will be that fight where horn is blown
He`s a major secondary character in the books and plays a huge part in the last battle...does that mean he will return?? no idea the makers of this have seriously messed with the lore and timeline changing major events so ive just have clue...
He'll probably have to teach Rand, especially if Asmodean is being adapted out.
Lets take a second to acknowledge how Logain saw and respected that she showed the power he thought he had.
I really dont like this show, but this part gives me goosebumps every time. I love Nynaeve. Shes so cool. In my head, this is what happened with Telmanes Dreadbane.

So amazing……❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Logain shouldn't have hidden his eyes. He can't see the glow of Saidar nor the weaves.
He didn't. He saw the light that Nynaeve generated when she created the healing weave, (remember she uses all 5 of the powers, including fire). He also felt his own weaves shatter. He was holding the source when she channelled.

Nyneave disappointed us in the second season 😢.
Who are these "us"? I wasn't disappointed. I was concerned about Nynaeve, but not disappointed. Her character isn't a trained dog to perform tricks for entertainment. Nor is she a damane to demonstrate her power so her suldam can look on proudly. She's been through a lot.
How her story is progressing-- considering where I know it should end up-- was perfectly acceptable to me.
During her accepted test, despite finding a way to channel powerfully while inside the arch, a thing which was believed to be impossible, she still wasn't able to save her daughter's life. Then, she was unable to channel to save Egwene from being collared. Then, when she did channel, due to her lack of control, she inadvertently got Ryma collared and her warder killed. Of course she would be deeply tangled up emotionally and unable to push through and focus when it came time to help Elayne and Rand.
We know Nynaeve had a block to begin with and this season's developments have helped to clarify why such a block is there and also what will likely Inspire her to break through it-. When it's required, Nynaeve, the Wisdom, will need to be there for the people she loves and those who need her.
As with Rand, I'm content to wait for the most powerful channeler in The Wheel of Time to truly step up to the plate. It's just an 8 season show. The ramp up to what Rand's really capable of will be sweeter if they're patient and don't blow the load in the opening seasons.
@@eme.261 why cant she channel like anybody else though? sorry i dont read the books
@@theselemene5294 -- The show has provided hints to that info. Nynaeve has a mental block, which gets pushed aside depending on who's been injured or what's happening to those she loves. That is as far as I'm willing to go to lead you to the answer.

Just saw that for the first time today. There just aren’t that many great moments in tv or movies. Thanks
They did what they had to do. Not sure why the head witch is so upset.
Nynaeve was powerful, but Logain was more powerful
Not in healing. Only Samitsu, Sumeko and Damer Flinn are above Nynaeve. And Nynaeve healed 2 things that even strongest male or female channelers of Age of Legends couldn't do.
😅I get the show has issues... But damn, it more than makes up for them and the creators are listening to feed back. The sets, the costumes, the lore and world building is so good. Besides... the book is a magnificent complex tale that makes adapting game of thrones look like childs play. They couldn't adapt it perfectly. I'd rather see them put effort into a good story and passion into the detail than do a super faithful but lazy looking long series that risks being cancelled before it gets done.
A man in a box. hehe
When the villian is on your team join❤ i would be red
As you can see in the comments , some real haters. However, I really enjoyed the adaptation. I'm not a purist and can enjoy the books for what they are and the tv show for what it is.
This scene was stunning and you start to see the depth of feelings Nynaeve has got for Lan.
Also, I really love the idea of a huge emotional outburst of tremendous power not being violent, but instead healing everyone in sight. (Also, even if the series does follow the books in having Loghain be stronger than Nynaeve, healing is a rare talent, and healing on that scale is going to look miraculous - no matter Loghain's relative strength, his reaction to Nynaeve's power in that scene, looking like he's about to kneel on the spot and declare her the Dragon Reborn, makes complete sense).
I also agree. I read all the books. What a great scene. Its bad that people who know the story come out to trash it and try to ruin something for new people because it isnt exactly like the books
@SunlessNick I just realized it's shes bc a healer at heart and that is her natural purpose, and this outburst of power represents all that she is at her core
Are they endgame, Nynaeve and lan? I've not seen much interaction between them in season 2 and I'm assuming the writers are steering us away from them
If it’s an adaptation like you say that does not have to be faithful to the canon. Why pair Nynaeve to Alan. Why not someone else? Change circumstance and scenario all you like. But don’t change the structure of the material building blocks. Saidar/Saidin system, characters of the core characters (EF5, Elaine, Avienda, Moraine, Siuan, Elmindreda, etc) one you change those, the result is something else, like chaos theory.
No need to shut the barn door when the forsaken are out. ;).
ok we need season 2 - 14 now and don't sell us short and now do all of the books !
She can't be more powerful than logain
Yes, she most certainly can. It depends on how you measure that strength. A lot of very respected book readers place Nynaeve above Logain o. The list of most powerful One Power wielders.
@@eme.261Logain is one of the strongest OP users. He is Tier 2 If I remember correctly. He is by far stronger than Nyneave. Can you send a link to these book readers you mentioned?
Logain is stated to wield nearly as much power as Rand, even in book 11 when Lews Therin takes the power to delete an army of trollocs.@@eme.261
She wasn’t, just had the surprise factor
Okay, sure. In the books, Logain’s sheer power level is stronger than Nynaeve’s (though there’s also an argument to be made that the strongest men and women are roughly equal in what they can achieve with the One Power: men can hold more of the power but are less efficient with it, while women can’t hold as much but are more dexterous).
Who is the One Power user with more significance to the story? Who faces off against a Forsaken, who heals severing, who heals madness, who helps cleanse Saidin, who helps seal the bore on the Dark One’s prison?
It’s Nynaeve. Logain was “stronger” in the books but story-wise he did nothing with that. I don’t really see it as an issue that the show is portraying Nynaeve as strong as or even stronger than Logain. She is exceptionally strong (average female Forsaken strength in saidar, probably equal to Mesaana or even Graendal) and she accomplishes so much.

A message to non reader fans: The abundance of negative comments ranting about how this breaks cannon are incorrect. Without giving spoilers all I can say is this scene stays within cannon, but understanding this requires a reader audience to….. think. Literally for two seconds. Don’t mind them, they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Overall, I enjoyed it.
I see comments and reviews that say it was bad... I would expect those are mostly from readers who see something different from what they expected. I understand that.
But so far, through my simple eyes (by simple, I mean surely the lore goes deeper and is more complicated than what I saw so far in watching season 1 once only), the story seems coherent enough and is interesting enough. I won't mind watching it again, and I look forward to the next season.

@mateussantana1291 I will be Honest, I don't read Books, So for me the Rand Character seems Very Weak in the TV series. But get where you are coming from. In the Books Rand must be all powerful. But in this show the woman are Dominating like Nynaeve & Egwene seem so much more Powerful.
So far, the first season had a lot more going on...season 2 is boring me out of my mind.
Ep. 6 and 7 are quite good though. Lots of stuff going on.
I have never read the books so I don't know the characters like that but, season 2 so far has just been filler episodes in my opinion. For someone who's supposed to be the Dragon, Rand is easily the least interesting character, Mat is useless and bores me, Egwene is just as boring and Perrin feels disconnected from everything and everyone. Episode 7 was okay, just waiting on the season finale.

clearly the people making this show don't respect the source material Men cannot see women weaving the one power at most he should of been rubbing his arms like it got cold.
Narrow minded. Nynaeve was wielding the power wildly and one of the simplest weaves is a ball of light. She was clearly weaving numerous weaves to heal (she uses all 5 powers), cut Logains weaves (spirit); light her braids (air); and a large ball of light which all in the room could see (combination). If she were merely healing etc. he would not have shielded his eyes, but it's clear that this is NOT what happened...

This show is a massive disappointment, it is what happens when solid IDE material (I'm ignoring the misandry) is "re-imagined" for modern audiences. She literally w/o any personal struggle nor character development, zero training is superior at any and all things both known and unknown to the franchise. This is literally the antithesis to the character arc in the books. The only good thing the writers did for Nynaeve is eliminate the incessant braid tugging.
Nynaeve struggles with using the power without being angry or emotional when something happens to La'n
The block is very much there
She hasn't used the power yet like a typical aes sedai
All the instances of Nynaeve using the one power are powerful big moments when she is either in danger or someone she cares about is hurt
She isn't using it with skill like a typical Aes Sedai either
Liandrin pretty much makes this clear in their conversation
Nynaeve has raw power but her lack of precision pretty much guarantees someone weaker can take her e.g... Liandrin is able to block her link to the one power as a result
This doesn't destroy her arc at all just make it different
She still needs training to intentionally do what she does here when someone she cares about isn't about to die
So the personal struggle , character development and training will still come
Misandry??? LMAOOOOOO you're so weak
Good lord, what is with the decision to make Stepin (who isn't in the book) into a character? And on top of that, why make so much pivot around him? Why make his decisions so utterly ridiculous? Yes he's in his "Warder-bond rage", but why did he think his axes were going to make it through the shield? What's up with the ridiculous crossed-arm poses? Why did Logain just stand there patiently and allow the Aes Sedai all the time they needed to begin their linking? In the time it took Liandrin to say those words, the book Logain would have lashed out and killed everyone in the room.
Robert Jordan would be rolling around in his grave if he saw this.
