I know how you feel. I got into Cryptopsy the month after they were last in Scotland with Lord Worm... (I think that was December 2006, which would mean I got into them about January 2007) It's such a crushing feeling every time I see one of these videos. I can't believe I just missed such a chance. They are absolutely the band I most want to see (in the classic line-up. I don't really care now. With at least Worm and I'd be happy)
Brutal legends! I always admired these guys so much, still I play their albums all the time, nothing gets more maiming and creative for me when I enter the domain of technical/brutal, death metal. There are sick things which always keep you down, do not worry, enjoy the feeling of brutality through music.
Thanks, but to be entirely honest, this footage is not my own... I'm in Ontario, and ended up finding this in someone else's P2P library... otherwise, I would've shot more of Jon, for sure!!! I got to see them with Jon on their first date of the tour in Toronto, and it was excellent, as well as one in Oshawa in October with Mongrain, and then the following autumn in Toronto again, with Donaldson... definitely one of the best periods to see them live was back in '04.
Yeah, I bet dude...unfortunately I've only been into Cryptopsy for about two years now, which was after both Jon and Worm were gone so it doesn't look like I'll ever get to experience the classic line up...): Oh well...I guess vids will have to do...
