I abused this transmission by not changing the fluid at 30K miles

  • Had a busy summer and put off a bit of maintenance. However if you keep your maintenance up to day sometimes you get to stretch things a bit. That transmission fluid look pretty good even though I did not change it on time.

Never follow manuals of Ford. They mentioned 240000kms but my transmission started making noise at 200k so immediately changed transmission fluid, pto and rear diff oil at the same time. My car running smooth as new. So i recommend 100k kms or 60k miles would be perfect. 30k miles sounds early for me

I have a 2012 accord that just hit 105k, transmission will shutter going from 2nd to 3rd and i got a service light to change trans fluid at 100k, however everyone i talk to says don’t do it?

If that is the manufacturers recommendation, follow it. If you can change the fluid and filter, do it. While you have the pan off, check the torque on the valve body bolts, generally snug but not tight.
I have an older Mercury Grand Marquis that had a shudder on one of the shifts. Bot a trans shop and a dealer told me it needed a fluid change. I paid through the nose to have the dealer do it. That fixed the problem and the trans is fine.
If the trans fails, it was on its way out and you didn't cause it.

Mercedes told me my transmission is filled with lifetime fluid. So I will ever change it when my transmission blows up at 100k miles
I will take them to court 👍🏻🤣

Bro 😂 I don’t think you’re supposed to change it if you go last 100k
