    I am a photographer too, and I shoot all day on one card per camera. :)
    It always seemed to me that frequent changes of memory cards could break the slot.
    So I bought two big cards, inserted them into my cameras and I never pull them out of there

      OS neer deletes the file actually This would take long. They just erase entries in tables. The file is still on disk but OS cant see it anymore, plus this sections was marked as free space I suppose at risk that it can be reused at some point. Erase 1TB Drive is like 3 hour, even more. People still paranoid that forensic tools can read over a zeroed disk ... the place I work for, IT guys make three runs on them LOL.

    • @hddrecoveryservices
      @hddrecoveryservices  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the assembler for the blocks will use what we have in physical image to construct the logical image. If our physical image is full of errors then we will not be able to build a good quality logical image. Blocks have to be clean, that's how they are on a working device, so ECC does it for us

      @@67foxcharlie John, this was not an easy case like most passports we get. I would be happy to hear that someone else was able to get it for you. When we run promos our mission is to help as many people, and guess what... there was a lot of ppl sending passports in that month. Your drive killed 2 of our donors for which we did not charge anything at all. That only happens when the surface has damage. Platter damage cases need TLC during the process and can't be rushed. I am sorry that communication was not up to your liking, but I can assure you that everything was being done in order to get access to your data. You pulled the plug on it, and that is understandable.

      @@67foxcharlie It depends if your drive is compatible with the inventory they have, if it's not then they have to buy a specific one for your case and most of the time it has to be brand new. I do pc repair as a side job and know people in the data repair/recovery business, and sometimes it takes more than a few minutes to troubleshoot a single problem, what I always tell to my clients: "Do you want me to work on your problem?, or do you want me to stay on the phone?". But oh well, best of luck with your data.
