now townsend cave is a beautful . place , you can park 50 crawlers in there lol . the ride to it is pretty enjoyable too . havent been there in 2 years now :(
In the rear of the big room, (the entrance) there is a natural mineral pool. It is fed by runoff. If you were to wade in and turn left, there is a small climb to the 2nd cavern. And if you follow that to the right you will find cavern 3… I’ve only ever explored this place to 17 rooms deep, keeping track of which one is which by stacking rocks in piles of 5 near the entrance to each. If you don’t want to get wet in the rear of the entrance, there is another way in to cavern 2, via the trail that is on the right side when looking out (by the fire pits and where your gf girls to pee. At the top of that hill (walking path) is the hidden entrance to cavern 2. It’s off the path 20 feet or so to the right (right when you’re back is to the cave entrance) and it’s a low pass but it’s accessible. Your welcome. Btw, this is PRIVATE PROPERTY so be respectful and take out more than you carry in. 10 years ago, I spent 4 days removing all the spray paint from the walls. This was me. And honestly I was mad because others didn’t care. But now, I do what I can when I can, so if you explore this cave, be sure to respect the place.
