TAMIL AWS API GATEWAY
Amazon API Gateway is a fully managed service that makes it easy to create, publish, maintain, monitor, and secure APIs for developers of all sizes. With just a few clicks in the AWS management console, you can create an API that serves as the "main input" to applications to access data, business logic, or functionality from your back-end services, such as processing loads running on Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2). run, code running on AWS Lambda , or any web application.
Amazon API Gateway performs all the tasks of accepting and processing up to hundreds of thousands of concurrent API calls, including traffic management, authorization and access control, and monitoring and managing the API version. At API Gateway, there are no minimum charges or upfront costs. You only pay for inbound API calls and outbound data transfers, and with API Gateway's tiered pricing system, you can cut costs by scaling API usage.
EFFICIENT API DEVELOPMENT
With API Gateway, you can simultaneously run multiple versions of the same API, allowing you to quickly iterate, test, and release new versions. You pay only for calls to your APIs and outbound data transfers. There are no minimum fees or prepayments.

Use the API Gateway dashboard to monitor performance metrics and information about API calls, data latency, and error rates. With Amazon CloudWatch, you can visually monitor views of your services.

Provide your end users with the lowest latency possible for API requests and responses by leveraging our global network of edge locations with Amazon CloudFront. You can throttle traffic and save the output of API calls to ensure that backend operations handle traffic spikes and that backend systems are not called unnecessarily.

sorry for the delay, no rest api inside data center is not a API gateway, API gateway is a reverse proxy it will accept all the request connection and then aggregate it.like a bridge hope it helps InterviewDOT 👍
