I sooooo thank you for doing this!! I have had such frustration with colors.. and this really did the trick for explaining what to do and not to do….I love your tutorials Daniel..!!! Thank you sooo much and have a great day!!!!
Thanks Daniel! This was great - I'm so addicted to doing this! Up at 5am before work, rushing straight home to do more, feeding the kids lucky charms 3 meals a day.... (kidding about that part) Your videos are so helpful!
I've been doing the same thing 😅 except I waited for my kids to go to bed and then stayed up all night, only getting 3 hours of sleep 😭🤣 I'm regretting it and feeling it today though! Lol
Yep, I was shouting "THE WHITE! THE WHITE! THE WHIIIITE!" 😂 Great video, Dan. I'm always amazed at the consistency of your results. I'm still at the 'pot luck' stage of understanding the timings and the science of resin, sinkers, and inks. Your videos really help, thank you!
The name of the tool you were looking for is a pattern tracing stylus or ball stylus tool. I'm a paper crafter and we use the same tool on our score board for scoring the paper to easily fold and have nice tight folds and corners. Also you've inspired me to step out of my paper craft comfort zone and into the unknown of resin and how awesome it will be if I can learn to make bits and bobs and things for my junk journals and merge the two amazing crafts. Thank you for all the great info and inspiration ❤
Hi Daniel. The tool you are using to make patterns is a Pergamano ball tool. They use it with Vellum parchment work to "puff" out say a leaf or petal. In recent years it has been adopted by other arts to do dotting work with paint etc. Thanks for the AI info
Oh darling Daniel, I have just realised something, I watch you all the time, I don’t do resin work, believe it or not I have some in my crazy craft collection, never used it, I also have a beautiful Granddaughter who suffers from anxiety, what a great project for her to try. I think it will work wonders. I even have the inks. Thank you for sharing all you do, love and hugs from Australia, I’ll keep you informed of the results.❤❤❤❤❤
Wouldn’t dream of putting you on x2 speed 😱 kind of a meditation practice for me! This has given me some great tips! Resin viscosity 👍🏼 thanks so much for this and the heads up. 🙏🏼💚
as a nail tech we call it a dotting tool, muchly used in nail designs & picking up glitters etc, but also really good for lots of other intricate crafting :)
Thank you so much, Mr Cooper! I've been making epoxy creations for a few years now and every time I'm stumped or need to learn some new techniques (or learn from your mistakes 😁), I always come to your channel. You never disappoint.
I just discovered you really. Steve McDonald Arts & Crafts recommended you, which is how I found you. I have to say you have the most calming and enjoyable way of teaching. I certainly appreciate you, your work and education. Thank you. Your work is absolutely beautiful!! I’m so glad I found your channel. You are so soothing to watch. Your videos are not too long so don’t worry. 😊❤
I love the brightly colored ones and the sinker white is a nice effect, but I have to admit I especially loved the purple (turned to brown) and yellow one with no white... one of my favorites!
Soooo happy to get your thoughts and experiences with different mediums! I am new to resin but always amazed by it. I always enjoyed crafts but always wanted to make things that sell. I don’t want to make crafts that look like it. If that makes any sense. Lol your videos are amazing because it shows how you teach at all levels my original passion was machine k itting until I found out I had lung cancer. I am a miracle to be cancer free for 1o yrs. But I have had to learn many crafts. This resin art is amazing and I want to learn everything. L
this video just answer the last question i asked you on your latest video thank you so much not just when inks go muddy but sinkers too , fab tutorial Daniel
I bought those larger bottles of the sinker white. Let's Resin actually has great instructions and then refers to one of your previous videos. Made it a lot easier to see how to use them. Excited to try them!
Thanks Daniel, so informative & very timely for me. I used alcohol inks for the first time 2 days ago & had a few issues. I was thinking of snipping the end off 1 as the pin wouldn’t penetrate so you have saved me a disaster there. The app is a great help too. And your chuckle always makes me smile!
Beautiful as always. I'm in love with the flames. Such a stunning effect. I just got that mold and a set of your collaboration resin and can't wait to try some out. Wish me luck 🤞 😂 Thanks again for all the help!
It is a dotting tool, I got mine from a local artist store after watching you using one. It took me a few to final find one. Daniel, thank you so much for all the information you share with us.
Thank you! So much information! Now I see why I want all of these colors! And the sinking white. Very nice to see how to do this! I don’t know the difference in the resins low and medium. I’ve been using up resin for a minute. Thanks!
Each time I watch I learn more I can hardly wait Friday is the day..I have so much to learn..I did get a quite tiny UV lamp but I know you use a heat mate like I said as you know starving artist..The mate will come next paycheck and now I may want to give the pastel s a try ..I think you are the best teacher and hopefully when I sell something I will be able to buy you a cup of coffee.. thank you again for sharing your wonderful knowledge with me
It is a stylus. I used it for embossing for scrapbooking and making cards. Now I use it for my nail art. You can get them with various size of ball at each end
Love all your videos! Your teaching style is soothing to listen to. I was saying “he forgot the white its gotta be on purpose”. I actually love the way that one turned out. It did look like amber which i love.
Something that might be helpful is a color wheel. Especially one with hues and tones. I know there are physical ones, not sure if digital. Probably. Magenta is red with some black. Love that flame effect. 🔥
I always see 👀it listed as a multi-purpose ball tool my for pottery sculpting and clay crafts. I have seen it in sets for tracing, drawing, nail art, paper crafting, embossing and general sculpting. To sum it up, It's one handy little tool. Another handy dandy little tool is the "weeder" tool with Cricut. Love that tool, Get yourself one. I bought a Cricut and mine came with one, and I think most people that have one will agree. I fell instantly in love and carried it over into my resin, pottery, clay you name it,. Do yourself a favor and get one today if you don't already have one...... You will never look back. 💓💓 I always see 👀it listed as a multi-purpose ball tool my for pottery sculpting and clay crafts. Another fantastic video. I'll be binging plenty more while I work, perfect videos to have at the side.
Beautiful! I quite like how the purple/ yellow turned out. Thanks for all the information. Newbie here 😊
The tool is a dotting pen. Manicurists and mandala artists use them. They come in a range of sizes. Amazon sells many.
A x-small hex nut that goes on the end of a bolt works as well as a ball bearring as well.

I find that the needle nose tips often fit on the top of the regular resin botttles once you've carefully taken the original top off.
Oh, I must this! Thanks Stacey 😊
Thanks Daniel great tutorial
This was super informative. Thanks you.
Love all the colors, you chose!

It's a dotting tool, and it is very very versatile for crafting.
Great Tutorial. Thank You
It is a pottery tool, like a stylus I often used when doing color slips over bare clay to carb out pictures.
This is a great refresher for us Cooper veterans and wonderful for newbies. I’m so impressed with how much confidence you’ve developed over time. Bravo. I’m enjoying ready all the accolades you are getting. I still have one burning question lol. Why did you switch from the old mold?

A lot of different mediums used that tool I believe it was originally to make ruffles on fondant
I've seen the same tool in Dot Painting and clay molding as well
Thank you so much for your help in colors!!! Now I know why my stuff looks terrible with the sinker inks and the mixing of colors. I can’t wait to start over. I’ll start watching more of your videos. ❤
