This is my second attempt at posting. So I will try again. I was referring to the Whitney Webb comment. The way she puts it that if someone discusses the Italian Mafia, does that mean people think all the Italians are criminals. If someone brings up the Israeli Mafia, does that mean people think all of the Jewish culture are criminals. I get confused on how this specific issue always becomes "Anti-Semitic". Didn't Katie Halper do a story for the Hill on how she was concerned about the segregation policies of Israel were reminding her of an Apartheid South Africa, after which she was fired from her job. Isn't she Jewish. Am I the only one that thinks something is off here?
I wish Kanye had distinguished that the Jewish colluding elites do not represent the Jewish people. Just like the American people are not responsible for America's disastrous wars around the world. This way he wouldn't of came across as Antisemitic.
Actually, the issue is that you are conflating anti-semitism with anti-Zionism (which ppl often do). And one being Jewish--like Katie--with one being a Zionist. And to go a step further, those--again, like Katie, who support Israel (in a wishy washy way), but don't like the way Israel treats the Palestinians (has Katie ever actually used the word Apartheid??? I would be very surprised! And would love to know, btw!). I do know that Katie is supportive of some of the left wing ISRAELI organizations, who really lean into the easily proven lies they put forward, yet are adamant about their views. It can be very confusing. Even to Jews. And that is also what they use to win people over onto their side!
@@skontheroad Thank you for your comment about my previous statement. I do know there is a difference between one being Jewish and one being a Zionist. I agree with you that most people don’t. Even in my on family, I tried to have this discussion once and was shut down when the Jewish narrative was brought up. I wanted to add to the Katie Halper situation. She has put out several videos in trying to explain her stance on this situation. I do not follow it as closely as other issues, but I am 70 years old and these conflicts have been going on for a long time. It’s hard to know who to believe these days, but Katie did put together a compelling report. Thanks for the discussion.

Wow .your characterisation of what Candace Owen said is not AT ALL what I heard. She absolutely DID defend what West said, and cast aspersions at anyone who thinks what West said was antisemitic...for a non-Jew to be telling Jews what is and what is not antisemitism just appalls me .just imagine me lecturing black people about what they are allowed to find frightening or offensive..the audacity of Owens lecturing us that " no honest person" would see his comments as antisemitic. And, yes, I would be happy to repudiate a friend who turned out to be racist.against any race...no problem. I really admired Candace Owens and now I completely despise her and am so disappointed. My whole point is why do some Jewish people believe they're beyond reproach so it's okay for Candice to talk s*** about her own Community 24/7 trash and black people but when it comes to Jewish people now you understand that some of the things that Kanye and Candace say is wrong this is why I can't personally advocate for Jewish issues because y'all don't care about black people issues or anyone else. They love when she talks s*it about the black community because they agree with her. They can’t say it themselves so they get her to say it. Some of her points about what’s happening in the black community are valid, but it doesn’t come from a place of love. She’s been pulling the race card on her ig stories now that she’s been criticized heavily by the right. When black conservatives get cancelled by the right, they always run back to the black community to get sympathy.
His thoughtful & calm demeanor is appreciated. Leadership isn't always easy.
I had to look it up because I don't follow Ye, but it seems to me like he was criticizing specific Jewish people in the entertainment industry.

No he later went on to say that Jews run the media and spout BHI theories about Blacks being the real Jews. If he was just criticizing a particular Jewish person no one would care.
I think he said a pretty anti-semitic thing but he isn’t an anti-semite. I also believe he has a mental health issue, has been hurt by some Jewish people, and expressing his hurt in a bad way. But I don’t think he wants to hurt Jewish people emotionally or physically.

Jewish people are a very diverse group and many Jewish people criticize how other Jewish people live. They disagree about being kosher or not, they disagree about sects within Judaism, they disagree about voting Democrat or Republican. So . . maybe it’s better to express complaints about the behavior from someone who is Jewish without mentioning that the person is Jewish.

Candace didn’t want to “shield the daily wire” from Kanye’s remarks. She wanted to shield herself.
I have been a strong supporter of Candace and I am beyond disappointed that she didn’t simply say I disagree with Kanye AND his remarks are anti-Semitic. She could have gone further and said Kanye is my friend and I don’t think he is anti-Semitic - even though his remarks are. I would have been okay with Candace saying that, but to blindly defend Kanye and say he is not an anti - Semite is just NOT okay. No longer supporting Candace!
If the Daily Wire fires Candace Owens, it would be no better than what The Talk did to Sharon Osbourne. Despite it being pretty offensive for Candace to defend someone who says those things, it actually shows these guys have a backbone for NOT caving to the incessant cancel culture.

How can we say we have Free speech, for one side over another. What did Ye, says that was so antisemitism? Candace Owens should have never asked permission to invite Kanye. This is a sad state of affairs.

What specific comments? I doubt that they saw the entire interview nor any other interview after that. He actually admitted his jealousy of the Jewish community in how well they are as a community and family. He also compared that to how his community would fare better if they conducted themselves similarly. Although what he said was not anti-black, one would have more to accuse him of being anti-black than antisemitic. He was neither. furthermore, the daily wire has no reservations in expressing statistical facts about black people, but if it is a fact that the majority of people in Kanye’s business and media happen to be Jewish, how is his stating that antisemitic? Where is the “facts dont care about your feelings” in this regard?

There is no question about what he said was indeed antisemitic. If he complained about his Jewish managers only that is not antisemitic. But he branded ALL Jews as owning the “black voice” and he is going to go “def con on the Jewish people” among other things. Yes he did say he is jealous of the Jewish people but that was an iota of what he said in totality. You must have seen a clip that extracted that part out but there was so much more. With 70% of all hate crimes in the US targeted against Jews- you can see why Jews would be outraged and frightened because of what he said.
Unfortunately ANY criticism of Jewish people is anti... what was the saying about those you cannot criticize..

Kanye apologized for the tweet, for the George Floyd comment, and for all people using what he said for hateful acts. That doesn't invalidate the fact that many Jewish businessmen run Hollywood and that the contracts are unfair. I'm disappointed by conservatives who've turned on Kanye.

Candace is in a tough spot. And I think the daily wire is doing a fantastic job not making her feel attacked. Everyone gets their humility shot at some point. EVERYONE. Candace is still very young with lots of wisdom to gain.

I used to like Candace, I think she is arrogant, loud and combative. I stopped watching her shows long time ago. I also noticed that she ca t stop taking about her finances which is very distasteful.

I agree 100% Candace is brilliant and a great asset to Daily Wire. I think she values her friendship ( which nowadays is almost a rarity) but I don't think she supports what Ye is saying, but Ye is entitled to his opinion. My take on the situation.🤷♀️

I feel the other personalities at DW are much stronger, and even when I disagree with some of their takes I can still enjoy listening.
Candace is very off putting. Probably because I followed her early on when she toured with Kirk. I just never found her style to be conducive to the goal of winning hearts and mind or influencing culture.
She is a firebrand, but often misses the mark and steps in the proverbial rake. She often will attack someone and berate a genuine point of criticism, instead of sticking to the facts and recognizing someone may just have a different point of view.
Ultimately she is not great at understanding the other side, so her arguments seem to lack the deep understanding and clarity I see from the other DW pepz.
Just my opinion, and I wouldn't cancel my sub to DW regardless. And if I shaved I would be using Js razors lol.

Conservatives can see the term racists as a shield for black criticism but can’t see the same with the term anti-Semite. Ye was spitting facts, an argument can be made about how he articulated those facts but they were in deed facts.
My understanding is that he wasn't hating on Jews but just said that Jews can be found at upper management of every successful corporation...or to that effect. Is that correct? If so this is NOT anti Semitic- it's is indeed facts. 🤷♀️ I'm failing to see what the big deal is about saying that 🤔

There are many good break downs of Ye's comments.
I will assume you are genuine in your quest for understanding in this world and probably are just missing some context.
1. There is a well established history of what the world ( not just the US ) considers antisemitism. A lot of this history comes from what we learn from the Nazis in Germany and what they used to successfully other and then attempt to exterminate an entire class of people.
2. The term "Jewish media" is a well known and understood dog whistle. This again goes back to German Nazis. And I don't mean that hyperbolicly, but directly. It has a long history amongst antisemitic groups looking to dreg up negative emotes to Jewish people.
3. Ye contradicts himself in almost all his interviews. He will say he isn't talking about all jews, or say they just happen to be Jews. But then immediately go on to make a comment about all jews, or list only Jews that screwed him over.
4. He repeatedly references black Hebrew Israelite talking points.
5. Watch the lez friedman interview. This is the best and most clear breakdown he has. He starts to attack lex... One of the nicest and most chill podcasters. Specifically lumping him in with other Jews. "You are just like the rest of them".
Ye is clearly in a bad place. He admits he trusts no human. I don't fault him for that. Losing his mom. And he is denying his mental condition and refusing medication.
I have a lot of empathy for him. But I would caution against getting any "facts" from his mind right now.
I pray God will lead him back to a stable life and help him find people in his life he can trust. Ye is a genius and he has so much good he can do for the world. This current issue isn't something he can't redeem himself from. But he has to get himself healthy first before he can heal others

This reminds me of people wanting what happened to Sharon Osbourne for defending her friend Piers Morgan happen to Candace.
As much as Piers Morgan is an egomaniac (IMO), I don't think Piers did anything wrong speaking out against Markle. Nor did Sharon Osbourne do anything wrong in defending him. Kanye, tho... yeah... not cool.
Piers Morgan didn't say ANYTHING racist, he simply said he didn't believe Meghan Markle ( who is a proven liar) and l was then forced to resign after she contacted his boss. I don't need a black woman to tutor me about jew-hatred just as I would not have the affrontery to lecture her about anti-black racism. She wouldn't call him out because she sees him as a political ally ( she'd have called him out in a heartbeat if he were a Democrat) and because her husband is involved in a massive business deal with West, in the sake of Parler which stands to make him a shedload of money.

I don’t know if Kanye is antisemitic at heart, but saying 1) you love the Nazis, 2) the Nazis did “great” things, and 3) the Jews made up the holocaust in the media is pretty dang antisemitic. Daily Wire also didn’t speak on the issues of Iran when their listeners asked about it, and the Iranian government doesn’t see Israel as it’s own nation.
Kanye West is bipolar, and even when on proper meds can say a lot of things that he should not. Knowing several people with bipolar disorder gives me a perspective that some people lack, especially the perpetually offended.
Personally, I think West should bow out of public life for a while and work on getting his head and priorities straight. At least ditch the social media for a month or two.
For Candace, I understand sticking by friends, even when they are stupid. We do not have to defend actions to be a friend.

I don't agree with people requesting to fire Candace Owens. However, she made a big mistake defending Kanye West. She even tried to gaslight people about the "Death come to..." tweet. That was wrong. She then doubled down instead of distancing herself from the comments. Sometimes saying less is better, and Candace can't seem to do that. At some point, you have to tell your friend, that's not right. Good friends can do that. You don't make excuses for them. All this reminded me of that Adam Sandler scene in Big Daddy. The teacher is telling him all the bad things his son is doing in class, and he's trying to make excuses. Then his kid pees in a plant inside the corner. He gives up because it's inexcusable. He walks away with the kid saying, "Let's go stinky. You got us in trouble." Candace has to either distance herself from Kanye's comments, or just admit this isn't right anymore.

I would have expected Candace to apologize for her condescending remark to those who were really hurt by the truly antisemetic tweet by Kanye. She is not the authority of what is antisemetism. She claimed Kanye is not antisemetic because he has Jewish friends. But, in his interviews, he calls them out, as he trashes all Jews. I don’t think she should be fired, nor should she severe ties with him - but, the right thing to do is apologize for her inappropriate (imo) minimizing of that tweet.

I wonder how many of the Jews Kanye was referring to (the owners of recording studios and labels…the $$$$$$$), when they sat in their office speaking about their black rappers, referred to said black rappers calling them the N word? I see this as more of a bigoted issue rather than antiemetic. Not all Hispanics are catholic, not all Anglos are Protestant, and not all Jews practice Judaism.
