@@UnDark1 Agreed. You can tell that Alina has been overwhelmed by the negative responses she has been subject to. While it doesn’t impact my professional reputation, I am amazed at how my support for an open and honest dialogue on this subject has been ridiculed and been looked down on by friends, family and associates who are either unable to objectively analyze the science, are suffering from Civid info fatigue, or just default to the pervasive CCP propaganda. Wonderful job. This is anecdotal but I am married to a Chinese national and have spent a good bit of time over there. In my opinion there would be no question that the CCP would call in all favors and do whoever is necessary to cover an accident of this magnitude.
If you consider how much money the CCP and its affiliated companies have in academia, media, politics and its history of covering up even the most benign events you can add another element that leans toward an accidental lab leak.
I have found it stunning how few individuals are speaking out about how critical it is to find the reason for the outbreak (natural or otherwise) and putting to the forefront reasoning behind gain of function research.
Again, wonderful job. I will try and follow your ongoing research. Plz keep up the good work.

For me I had said no then my Dr took a stool sample and I was lied to about abnormal results and was booked anyway. From June 2014 to May 2019, Daszak’s EcoHealth Alliance had a grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), part of the National Institutes of Health, to do gain-of-function research with coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Whether or not SARS2 is the product of that research, it seems a questionable policy to farm out high-risk research to foreign labs using minimal safety precautions. And if the SARS2 virus did indeed escape from the Wuhan institute, then the NIH will find itself in the terrible position of having funded a disastrous experiment that led to the death of more than 3 million worldwide, including more than half a million of its own citizens.
The US government shares a strange common interest with the Chinese authorities: Neither is keen on drawing attention to the fact that Shi’s coronavirus work was funded by the US National Institutes of Health. One can imagine the behind-the-scenes conversation in which the Chinese government says, “If this research was so dangerous, why did you fund it, and on our territory too?” To which the US side might reply, “Looks like it was you who let it escape. But do we really need to have this discussion in public?”

    We've all had enough
    Now has come the time
    For us to stand together
And learn to hold the line
    We must never give in
We must step out in faith
    To show a better way
    In this time of disgrace
    Whether black or white
    The time has now come
    For all good hearted people
    To proudly stand as one
    United we stand
    Divided we fall
For us it's now or never
    The writing's on the wall
    We'll never forget
    What you did to us
    When you stole our freedoms
    You knew it was unjust
    Whether black or white
    The time has now come
    For all good hearted people
    To proudly stand as one
    There's only one way out
    That's a reformation
    A spiritual coming home
    To the God of creation
    We've been led astray
By the lies we've been told
    It's time to return
To the shepherd of our souls

The origins were discovered some months ago, the ancestral strain very closely matches SARS-Cov-2 in bats in Laos, probably infecting other animals in Laos, perhaps pigs (bats aren't fussy where the poo), or on the Southern China boarder. Those animals were transported and sold/slaughtered at the Wuhan market. The original strain and bat strains from caves in Laos are a very close match, closer than anything else. Go look it up. There were lots of live animals in the market, researchers saw that before the outbreak.

Very courious about its message, besides other information provided. Nevertheless, as we all know, everything is politics. Thus, even without saying although that this book brings a perspective embraced by some of us from the beginning, in the end it sits next to one influence political group. Why do I think that ? Due to the fact that this is life, this is how things work. Anyway, I appreciate that her “supporters” encouraged her and the co-author to write the book. I am Looking forward to read it.

Now, however, the discovery of three coronaviruses in bats living in limestone caves in Laos adds substantial weight to existing evidence that the virus was not engineered, Holmes says. The three viruses, reported in a preprint on Research Square on 17 September, are the closest relatives to SARS-CoV-2 found to date, and they are the first discovered that are nearly identical in that key region. “The core, functional part of SARS-CoV-2 has a natural origin,” says Linfa Wang, a bat coronavirus researcher at the Duke-NUS Medical School in Singapore. “It’s proven.”

An consensus sample? Does this mean taking multiple samples then making one containing all the most common alleles from each? If so this can be tested. It would mean SARS-CoV-2 would present as statistically anomalous. It would lack any rare or unlikely variations in many places. I'm not sure that SARS-CoV-2 if manufactured would have to be done this way but if it were you would have a problem. A database of genomes would allow you to figure out what the consensus is. Going out and sampling more viruses would help you establish consensus. Another missing piece of this puzzle is why haven't we seen far more sampling of wildlife, which we would expect and far more related viruses added? This is something that always made me suspicious. If they really believed this was zoonotic, you very rapidly send people out to sample animals. It's not a major undertaking, is relatively quick, fairly cheap and easily initiated. It would also help add evidence to their claims of it being zoonotic. However, it could also prove it's artificial. This could be a red herring but the pieces add up. I believe this is a strong lead.

The doctor's expertise is in medical genetics. Therefore, she is looking at the issue through one lens that has been shown to be blurry. Those who say that the virus actually exists are also looking at it through this blurred lens. In actuality, the virus has not been discovered in the traditional, gold-standard method. That is, it has not been isolated, nor purified, nor seen in its entirety under an electron microscope. Also, since those first three steps have not been followed there can be no test of its pathogenicity. Pathogenicity is simply testing a virus to see if it is harmful to humans. As the doctor admits, she cannot be certain of the origin of the Coronavirus. I was a bit disappointed that the gold standard of virus identification was not even mentioned. That is the most likely reason the doctor could not find the origin for certain. However, after two years of my researching the issue, I am not surprised by her results. She is definitely being influenced by the medical/scientific establishment. Personally, I would not put much store in what she has to say.

    Questions:
    1. How do we keep science to the scientists and not use it as a political weapon.
    2. How do you keep funding in science but not coming directly from pharmaceutcal companies.
    3. How do we stop social media from dictating the narrative of a single political ideolgy (I think IBM may have been split up for potentially doing this.)
