Darth Zannah really stands out from most of Sith. While many Sith Lord favored lightsaber styles meant to overpower their enemies with brutal strength and unrestrained fury, Zannah specialized in Form III to outlast and undermine them. Her aptitude for telekinesis was mostly focused on shields to defend herself against attacks from other Force users. And ironically for a Sith who specializes in studying the secrets of the dark side, we never see her conjure Force lightning
I think her greatest combat ability might be her Sith Sorcery and dark magic. The dark side tendrils she conjured in her final battle with Darth Bane are extemely dangerous and they were somehow made of pure dark side energy. Impervious to lightsabers and force powers like Bane's sith lightning, they could melt through armour, cloth and of course flesh and bone. Bane decided in their battle that the only way to stop her terrible dark side sorcery was to kill Zannah herself, as she was the source of the fearsome tendrils of the dark side. One of them ended up wrapping itself (at Zannah's command) around his forearm and removing it along with his lightsaber hand, before he could get to her. Leaving Bane with no option, he attempted essence transfer as a final attempt at defeating his apprentice and ultimately failed, we must assume...
@@topdog5252 This. No need for lesser force powers when you can do something like that. Zannah was an intense Sith in every way and every other way, but I can’t help but associate her with the girl on Ruusan, who lost and lost again to the deathly horrors of war, something even the Jedi weren’t immune to or they’d have likely tried to help the native species rather than put them out of their misery. Imo, she’s more tragic than anything and I believe she had the potential to forgive the Jedi who were still on the planet, if Bane had not found her instead and killed her innocence. She may have been able to become a kind and empathetic Jedi while standing strong alongside her friends who called her ‘Rain’. Maybe becoming a Sith was in defiance of the Will of the Force, as was the open intent of the Sith. It’s clear she had a few paths set before her, but she chose the one that was intended to eventually plunge the Galaxy in a Great Imbalance in which the Sith would reign supreme.
I had an awesome debate on SWTOR about who would win in a fight between Darth Zannah or Darth Nihilus. I truly believe Zannah would win largely in part due to Banes teachings. She has experience fighting Sith as well as Jedi, her talents in subterfuge and Sith sorcery, and her extremely under appreciated skills in lightsaber combat make her a far more versatile foe than Nihilus (in my opinion) Unless Nihilus had just finished feeding on a planet he’s growing weaker by the moment, and is fully consumed by his hunger therefore he can’t think straight let alone plan ahead. The exile beats Nihilus just by saber wacking and a little force powers, so whose to say Zannah couldn’t do the same?
The Exile exploits the powerful Force bond they have to weaken Nihilus, that bond created with enough darkside energy that it was a reflection of the screams of Malachor. I do wonder how other people would fair against Nihilis, we never get the impression he actively fights people instead of devouring them outright.
The exile beat Nihilus because of their special "abiltiy". The exile is a wound in the force, as is Nihilus (but in different way or coping in a different way). He needs to feed on the force of living beeings, but feeding on the exile proved to upset his stomach. @@Kazuma11290 constructive criticism coming up, i will make a comment for each point because i cant memorize it all at once. Do Tell when and where the fanfic will be posted. 1. For your first point, it is totally understandable. It is an extreme risk to only have 2 members at a time, as we saw in the bane novels where during 2 Events they almost completely got wiped out, one time even due to a complete missconception (the entire Story of dinasty of evil is just bane and zannah having dran the wrong conclusions about each other). But the fact that they made it through it all further resembles why bane made the rule of the two: if they would have died, lost, and been forgotten, then they would have been weak and deserved death and failure. It was indeed through the will of the force and brilliance and cunningness (if that is a word) that they survived.
@@Kazuma11290 2. Point: while sith indeed grow when faced with great challenges, what challenge is greater then to overcome your Master whom you think of at the Start, to be literally allmighty and invincible, and to learn all his secrets? If you had multiple Sith, the danger was there that the lesser could overpower their Master or "co-sith" even if they were weaker individually.
@@Kazuma11290 3. Point: this is probaly the one point i agree with you the most on. Bane and zannah are the perfect example: she naturally Was good at sith alchemy and magic, but his Talent was in more direct combat. So she had to Resort to old sith artefactsy holocrons and other sources to gain knowledge, power and controll over her unique talents. While it did work over the years that the sith used such sources for teaching stuff they weren't talented at or teaching themselves because their Master wasnt talented at it, you are totally right, it was or could have become a big problem.

Tbh, she got taken over by Darth Bane imo when he used that essence transfer. Nobody actually knows who actually won but he was a magnitude stronger then her.
I agree that part of Bane was transferred as she was shaking the same hand as gave Bane trouble. Too much of a coincidence and those are bloody thin on the ground.
I laugh at the under apprenticed granted she had to figure a lot out on her own but that was practically the deal between bane and her she’s be taught the basics and fundamentals of the code of the sith, and the new teachings and wisdom that were and are the rule of two. Her self teachings came from learning Sith sorcery since bane was the equivalent of a sith juggernaut with Darth and I’m gonna butcher this name like No other Andedue essence transfer. She’s in my opinion one of the most crucial sith that showed how far small numbers can go and the tools of cunning. Bane and zannah are what make the sith beautiful in subtlety and cruelty. Plagueis and Palpatine showed art in politics as plagueis would word “pure theatre” granted that was about another set of events rolling off for chancellor once again butchering the name valoram while not full removal grand doubt when amadala made it well known she didn’t have faith in the chancellor allowing for elections and what palpatine would have expected plagueis to take would fall to him Out of necessity for human favor and to have plagueis as co chancellor though in my opinion and political ignorance don’t know how you could out of the blueish get the former ceo of last butcher I swear Domask holdings into such a high state of officials. The moral of this comment the beauty of cunning and subtlety the tools of the new sith. Were we once wore armor now we wear cloaks
I always thought Hannah didn't get enough attention. She is one of my favorite sith. She took to the rule of two very seriously is what I think. It's been awhile since I read the trilogy, but I remember in the books Zannah told Bane he was a traitor to the rule os two for learning essence transfer.
It wasn't the Thought Bomb that drove the bouncers insane. It was a massively destructive, but ultimately safer Sith ritual that flowed the power of the dark side through one individual. It read similar to the same ritual that Darth Vitiate used to extend his life by draining Nathema.
Great character in which the best traits of Bane are _reflected_ - instead of just having him venture by himself. To have their succession duel be decided by an ability that is accessible only to one of them formally undermines the 'Rule of Two' - a rule that is supposed to select toward the most able. Since Sith sorcery is apparently never crucial in confrontations, later on their process of succession must have failed with abilities being lost, instead of being accumulated and 'bred' to overwhelming strength. It's a plot hole.
I liked both Darth Bane and Darth Zannah. But like a true sith apprentice Zannah was loyal to Bane and carried out missions and kept learning from him till she was strong enough to overthrow him. Because of that Zannah is my favorite sith apprentice/ master
It's so terrible that she just...turned on her cousin like that. What Sith ideology does to someone is just fucking vile. I can't look at Zannah without feeling terrible for the little girl who got separated from her family and then watched her best friend die. If only that fucking monster hadn't found her at such a vulnerable time and twisted her.
If you klustebn to the audible on youtube you will hear she is no saint. She chose to murder at 10 the folks who offered her a life in order for power. She was already a monster as a child and her cousin became a jedi and told everyone where they were at. In the book at age 10 she exploded her cousins hand out of mercy so Bane wouldn't kill him as an act of mercy. They met again much later when he persued her
Loved the Darth Bane trilogy. Although, I am not entirely convinced, Zannah won when Bane tried essence transfer on her. The tremor in her hand might be interpreted in a way that Bane won and posed to be Zannah after the duel. Continuing the Rule of Two for all appearances while in truth he'd eventually overtake every apprentice until we meet him in the movies as Sidious. Thus, always two there are. Not a master and an apprentice. But a Bane ... and a spare.
I don't blame Darth Zannah for killing those two Jedi. Yes I can understand why they killed the bouncer. However, that bouncer was her precious fluffy friend. She had every reason to kill them.
Bane chose his apprentice well Zannah was an embodiment of, "I understood the assignment." The Rule of Two works great until the betrayal part happens and there have been instances where killing the master actually weakened their ultimate cause. Plagieus was on the cusp of immortality as was Bane but their respective apprentices killed them both before that was achieved. Kinda dumb that Sidious did and then was trying to figure out how to be Rule of One and died both times because of betrayal of the apprentice he chose. The fact you can't achieve immortality because of the knife in the back makes the culmination of strength to be rendered moot. Everyone on the light side get to be immortal if they want because they don't want the power so they get the power. If you kill us we will become more powerful than YOU can imagine....😉
She is completly polar opposite of what Disney wants from its villians. She start as pure and innocent. Just wanted to help people and etc. But after she meet Bane, she slowly became pure evil. Willingly. You genually feel horrible for her,but you also understand that she needs to go. I know it as a fact that Disney has no guts to make a story about her.
One of my headcanons is that Darth Sidious is a descendant of Darth Zannah and that explains his early infatuation with the Sith Order. He is the rightful heir to the Rule of Two Sith. Also, Darth Zannah looks like what Rey would be if she became a Dark Lady of the Sith.
Actually I think she’s incredibly OVERRATED, Sorcery really isn’t valuable unless you do rituals for decades to increase your power in the force. Zannah clearly doesn’t use Sorcery for that reason and she essentially is mediocre in all other aspects. She was born in the wrong era because she didn’t improve her abilities because no one was prepared for it. She acts like Anakin but a fraction of his powers and ability in the force. It’s a wonder her apprentice didn’t kill her 5 months later as Zannah is quite possibly the weakest Sorcerer and has no other merits. Woo she used a purely defensive form against a bookworm Swordsman with no creativity. Forcing him to use the environment because he wasnt good enough to leverage his own ability against his apprentice. Both Bane and Zannah imo represent the WORST of the Rule of Two. A Brute with no real creativity and a Mage who never improves. Zannah pulled it together at the end because the fact she wasn’t discovered by the Jedi is a miracle.
Darth Zannah really stands out from most of Sith.

In my opinion, ketamine is a great Sith Lord.
calm down yoda
Don't call her a "sith apprentice" she was eventually a master in her own right!
I read the entire series! Great video!
Darth Zannah heh the Only Sith Lady Known to have retained her Natural Beauty
.......Darth talon, Lana beniko, pretty much everyone from the old republic
@gurun8071 I meant the Only Human sith Lady I wasn't referring to species Like the Twileks who are Seemingly Unaffected by Darkside Degradation
Of the rule of two Era of Sith and Seemingly the Only sith in the Banite Era that was Unaffected by Darkside Degradation
@gurun8071 I also wonder has Anyone Tried Intimately Assaulting any Female Sith Before I'd especially like to find out if anyone tried to Assault Valkorions Daughter Vaylin
No non Force Sensitive would Fesibly survive such an Endeavor
Can you star wars video about the zygerrians species next they are pretty cool
I’m still waiting for the why. This is just a recap of the books.
Finished Darth banes trilogy. Loved Zannah. She was my favorite. And I loved the honor code that the sith used to have. Even with bane and zannah.
They made were the right pair
This is my favorite book trilogy.
Tbh, she got taken over by Darth Bane imo when he used that essence transfer. Nobody actually knows who actually won but he was a magnitude stronger then her.
The writer came out and confirmed Bane lost.
Her self teachings came from learning Sith sorcery since bane was the equivalent of a sith juggernaut with Darth and I’m gonna butcher this name like
No other Andedue essence transfer. She’s in my opinion one of the most crucial sith that showed how far small numbers can go and the tools of cunning. Bane and zannah are what make the sith beautiful in subtlety and cruelty. Plagueis and Palpatine showed art in politics as plagueis would word “pure theatre” granted that was about another set of events rolling off for chancellor once again butchering the name valoram while not full removal grand doubt when amadala made it well known she didn’t have faith in the chancellor allowing for elections and what palpatine would have expected plagueis to take would fall to him
Out of necessity for human favor and to have plagueis as co chancellor though in my opinion and political ignorance don’t know how you could out of the blueish get the former ceo of last butcher I swear Domask holdings into such a high state of officials.
Zannah is by far my favorite character from the Bane Trilogy.
Not enough art of her actually gets her hair right though.
Zannah’s not cool. She’s hot
I love Zannah! Idgaf if she kills me... still love her
We could do with a book 📖 on her , how she expanded on the Sith grand plan
I liked both Darth Bane and Darth Zannah. But like a true sith apprentice Zannah was loyal to Bane and carried out missions and kept learning from him till she was strong enough to overthrow him. Because of that Zannah is my favorite sith apprentice/ master
I really like Zannah. She’s one of the more level-headed Sith from the Rule of Two era.
They met again much later when he persued her
And now she'd been reincarnated as Shin Hati.
I don't think I'm the only one who thought her saber was passed down to be eventually Darth Maul's since it looks the exact same way.
Thot bomb hits a little different now!! 😂😂😂😂
GT being better this year will are both UL and UGAs schedules tougher
Ahh Darth Zannah.. my one true Sith waifu!! 🥰
Darth Zannah is Darth Bane..at the end her hand trembling like Bane..
The Senate needs MORE love.
That's over-appreciated, then.
I don't blame Darth Zannah for killing those two Jedi. Yes I can understand why they killed the bouncer. However, that bouncer was her precious fluffy friend. She had every reason to kill them.
Great vid bro.😺
Bane chose his apprentice well Zannah was an embodiment of, "I understood the assignment."
The Rule of Two works great until the betrayal part happens and there have been instances where killing the master actually weakened their ultimate cause.
Cool story, still a stupid concept to only have two sith at a time
I wonder what the rest of Darth Zannah's story is? What are the chances that someone might fill in those blanks, one day?
Ok…let’s pretend. Live action Bane series. Who plays who?? Go:
For some reason I picture Kurt Russell as Lord Kaan…
Darth Zannah is my favourite female Sith
Were some of the art scenes AI generated?
She is completly polar opposite of what Disney wants from its villians.
She start as pure and innocent. Just wanted to help people and etc. But after she meet Bane, she slowly became pure evil. Willingly. You genually feel horrible for her,but you also understand that she needs to go.
I know it as a fact that Disney has no guts to make a story about her.
Given to Ahsoka will be journeying to another galaxy, you should do a video about traveling into another galaxy within the Star Wars universe
"Wouldve lasted for only a generation"
And the sith wouldve been better for it
The 2nd and 3rd in the rule of two were both female
One of my headcanons is that Darth Sidious is a descendant of Darth Zannah and that explains his early infatuation with the Sith Order. He is the rightful heir to the Rule of Two Sith. Also, Darth Zannah looks like what Rey would be if she became a Dark Lady of the Sith.
👍
👍👍👍👍👍
No. I think she has enough recognition.
I hate Zannah but yet pity her at the same time. That and Daal is the closest we will ever get to her in the new canon
Zannah didn’t win in the bane books. It’s just more pc in todays bullshit to promote her as such.
