Back when,C.managuense was my favorite big cichlid. Today? Hard to say so many..Those C.synspilum with an explosion of color,that Umbee, Haitians,Green Parrots..but I guess those are South American.
You need to hook up with fellow Britons Nishikigoi Andy and see about an indoor 3,000 gallon pond above ground with window. Maybe a wall of the home knocked out and then no so hard to heat it?..I got ideas on dream aquariums all the time...😢 One day.👍

I don't keep fish but watch a lot of these vids thinking maybe someday, so taking this for what it's worth (not much in that case) but I think Parachromis friedrichsthalii might just be the best! and with so many other great fish in this fish hobby of yours, that is saying something! These are just gorgeous gorgeous fish.
Parachromis friedrichsthalii are sure beautiful fish. Very aggressive but not, as aggressive as other parachromis species. Get your self a tank, I'm sure it will give you many hrs of enjoyment. Thanks for watching.

They're the same batch of ex Freddie's from Cota as well via someone else. About 6 inch now. Still not coloured up yet though
These were imported from COTA, into the UK by Rod Johnson at Lincs.
@@andywoodscichlids2942 yeah someone I know through fish in mitcham bought them and sold them to me and danny who bought a already formed pair, I ended up with females, I bought a male from someone who bought them from Perry in Essex. They all originally came from Cota. I dont deal with certain people in the hobby no more. Your pair shits over my pair I had. Never did colour up. I sold the male in the end. I'm trying to concentrate on different catch locations of beani. Really enjoying the rio del oro istlanum at the minute also. I'm selling all the beani, istlanum and cubans to certain places for peanuts so they can put them into the hobby cheaper.

How old is big joe? I just got a notification for this video just now, 2 days late...annoying.
I've had him 7 or 8 years, he was 1.5inch when I first got him, he's now 20inch. I do have another home bred male who's around 14inch.
