Probably Iron Leg, just because it's simple, effective, and because I really like slow abilities (i have horrible aim, and somehow having less speed lets me hit more shots, which is very strange)
Iron leg is probably the most obsurdly overpowered fighting style for Warlock. As an Earth Iron Leg user, it hits so unbelievably hard and has so much aoe that you can deal (upwards of) 400 damage with just power focus and ~90 power. Not to mention its viability with Poison, where your damage is literally more than double what your standard attack damage is (poisoned + bleed + synergy proc). Because of how bleed works, iron leg is the best for magics that clear or deal more damage with bleed (because bleed has no negative clear synergies) and because of its high damage, is easily the BEST fighting style.
I love thermo but is literally unusable due warlock lag which causes for the heat to charge way to slow and as i use explosion i see myself using iron leg until further changes.
The sailor meter isn't that bad, though it can sometimes get annoying in long fights. Cannon fist is definitely a nerf in every way, but sailor is literally just better Basic Combat at full meter. You aren’t wrong; at times meter management can be difficult, but remember that drinking works while reflex dodging, and use that as an opportunity to get 50% of your meter filled up.
@@Soymiamiyteloconfirmo the target has to have the frozen status effect for the 30% more damage to proc, ice sailor fist will always be better than ice iron leg
striking gale's worse for me, if the player dodges, your in for a nasty punishment, devastate to me is the same as my 257 damage iron leg slam, which is reliable
@@bluekiller2470 You're in for a nastier punishment if you miss your devastate, due it's high endlag, ontop of the fact you knock the target ABOVE you making for a easy hit.
If you want to use Striking Gale but don't want to have Devastate, just use Halberd. You'll have higher size and great damage at the cost of speed. You can also use Skull Crusher if you really want to, but you already have Rushdown, so it doesn't really matter. Either way, size is really the way to go regarding Iron leg, just because of its already high size affinity and lacking speed affinity.
@bluekiller2470 I'm specifically saying for Warlord in particular. Although, if you chose ice magic or snow magic, you should use sailor style and iron leg for shattering freeze, and when nimbus sea releases, you should invest some points in weapons to use the halberd. Just a suggestion tho!
Nothing really changed post nimbus. As new substats aren't worth investing into, best armor set is now 3 sunkens + power/sidestat fair amulet (not a defense one) + caped pauldrons. Btw, warlord is absolute meta rn, so prepare to be called metamancer for playing it with any fstyle.
what's your favorite fighting style and why?
Basic combat. It's simple and straight to the point. No annoying mastery grind needed.
Sailor fist because I like the lightning effect
Sailer because water go splash splash 😊
@@worldslaggiestlock I agree lol

is crystal leg still viable or is it cooked
@@theboy4828 it still is viable... they're scary with their power builds
I’m an earth warlock aswell THE DAMAGE IS CRAZY and the SIZE
Not mentioning how it takes 5 business days for your attacks to land and you getting whooped by berserkers and mages.
Sand iron leg here, it's pretty good and clearing out pirate and assassin ships alike.
It's great to see people choose what they think is fun and not what is meta. W vid
i honestly don’t see enough of that. ao is a game to have fun at the end of the day, and sweating over metas is cringe ngl
Thermofist is my go-to fighting style
Whatever issues it has can be solved with more skill. That mindset helped me get better at the game in general
Reminds me of my friend teaching me how to aim a piercing shot in the air. I still miss a lot

Devastate is a awful combo starter, due to losing height against your target, and it's high endlag. You're better off not using it in the combo.
