I completely agree with you on the Chanel! It looks like an afterthought bag- someone from the design team went to Nike and saw their version and thought: "well.. I have to pitch an idea for a new bag tomorrow and have nothing, so let me just 'put' something together real quick.." Basically someone who procrastinated on an assignment and put it off until the night before and accidentally got a "good" grade on it that even they are baffled and don't understand!

The Prada bag should only be about $200-500. The bag is crocheted in raffia, which means that it has to be handmade and hopefully the fibre artists will be paid well. Definitely wouldn't buy it either price.

You should definitely change ur mind on a kelly. Esp a kelly 25 Im feeling a yellow or neutral.
Not to justify the price. but crochet cannot be made by machine. It is only handmade. Knits yes. Crochet: no. So if it is crochetted... When was the last time we bought a handmade bag though?

First, I love the term "TBE". I am going to be using that for now on. As someone who crochets as a hobby to relax, if you are an experienced crocheter you could make the Prada tote yourself, in my humble opinion.

Every single word spoken of the new Chanel tote is absolutely correct!!! As for the Hermes, admittedly I do happen to be a staunch supporter of the Birkin myself!! I mean, there is something so very cool and effortless about this design that just works no matter what the outfit or season is!! Personally, I am sucker for anything Gucci -when styled right and not copied exactly from the runway shows- but I wouldn’t necessarily spend my precious hardworking coin on the Blondie as opposed to the Jackie, which I find more timeless! Great video Cassie!!!👍🥰

As usual, you made me laugh out loud! I really, truly, madly, deeply look forward to your videos, and am slowly working my way through your back catalogue. I am one of those people who ALWAYS bakes from scratch, and often without a recipe, i.e. my Ultimate Brownies (oh, yes), loves a Kelly and doesn’t, shall we say, appreciate a Birkin, has and loves my Loewe basket bag, but WHO CARES? If you can’t tolerate a bit of diversity, well just don’t get out of bed in the morning. Down to business: agree with you on the new Gucci, just blah, don’t like the new/old logo, but normally a HUGE fan of the brand; loathe anything Goyard with the hot intensity of a dying sun; just find the Prada sack thing a joke, although could be useful when going crabbing in the Low Country; am just too advanced in age to understand the Chanel Pillow Case on Chain thingy; and never give a thought to Balmain. My biggest “I Would Never” is LV. There may have been a time, but the whole brand screams “I bought this out of the back of a sketchy van.” Not their fault, but them’s the facts. See ya Friday!

Cass-Cass!!! I respectfully disagree with the reason for not buying Goyard, Cass! 😩 I own a Goyard St. Louis tote (the one that looks like the LV Neverfull) and have absolutely no problems with my canvas. Now, I have to say that a lot of ppl buy them for work and use the St. Louis as a workbag … when it’s actually a beach bag that ppl started carrying as a purse. Goyard didn’t make it to be a handbag. That’s why the bag is soft and flimsy … it’s made for easy packing and carry along to the beach. A lot of ppl don’t know that and stuff their St. Louis with work laptops and their work portfolios … and then wonder why the canvas is tearing!🤷🏾♀️ I have several other clients with Goyards and theirs are in mint condition as well. Trust me, the Goyard canvas is no sub-par at all. I own a Birkin and Kelly 25 in Togo leather with gold hardware. I actually love my Kelly a little more than the Birkin! Lol! She just looked so sleek with black Burberry trench this past Winter. I wish I could get a larger size Kelly but I don’t have the money for it. Truthfully, they both are beautiful bags and eye catching. Any woman that is fortunate to own either is blessed. I do humbly agree with all your other handbag assessments though, Cass! 😂 Another awesome video! Hope you & your guy are enjoying NY! ❤️

I was able to justify buying the Prada redition even though it's nylon lol. But this ! This net, I'm with you Cassie . I love the look of it but for that price it is a no. I just purchased the mini Longchamp net bag for $90 and she is TBE and gets the look done. I mean $1800 for that ? 🤦🏾♀️🤣

I’m with you on Goyard in general (had a St. Louis and it looked so tired after a few years I was embarrassed to take it out!). I’m also with you 100% on the Loewe raffia bags; have had some version of one on various online shopping carts for years and have never pulled the trigger for the very reasons you list!

I live in NYC where Goyards are very common. Unless they are brand new, they always look sad with strings coming out of the handles and the canvas either cracked or worn down. Not my fave. As much as people poo poo on LV and how common it is, the canvas lasts forever. I'm also partial to Faure Le Page now, not common and nice quality.

Haha I’m with Mamma Thorpe on the Loewe basket bag! I love mine BUT I don’t like the fact it’s open so I only really take it to the beach when on hols and I put a towel on top 🤣. I have been trying to find an organiser for it and they are sooooo expensive so I’ve actually bought some felt and I’m going to have a go at making my own - wish me luck lol 🤨🤨🤨🪡🧵

I love the Loewe basket too! It gives me major French countryside and Paris farmers market vibes; thinking of getting one and to prevent hands from having their way with the contents I want to drape a huge 70x70 or 90x90 scarf in the bottom, add all my accoutrements inside and then tie the scarf loosely. It will keep my items inside and hidden, the fabric will become a maze for those with sticky fingers and I get to glam it up a bit with a colorful scarf ❤️❤️❤️❤️

That Chanel 22! I fully understand the charm of a dump bag we can carry our junk around in, but it has to be, for me, price appropriate. It would be a good shopping bag if it cost no more than US$750. Seriously. At the price Chanel wants for it, no way will I have it!

I do agree about the Chanel bag, it’s horrible. Also I stayed beside that Goyard boutique in London and there was indeed a massive line outside every morning before the store even opened! I often had coffee at Marchesi next door and everyone in line looked miserable 😂. Safe to say I didn’t go in!

I actually put my name for the Chanel 22 bag and was for the exact same reason that you mentioned when I withdraw it. I’m a mama to a toddler and expecting my second, I need to be hands free and my shoulder with such thin chains would just be so uncomfortable! And I feel the 22 bag has such a cool vibe and just didn’t suit my style. Each to their own! I know a lot of people love it!

@@katemiller7874 Chanel 22? Yes I had to go to the boutique to see it in person before I pass my judgement. I cannot trust myself by just looking it on their website or watching it from TH-cam. I needed to feel it and try it on and see if it looks good on me. The leather feels nice and soft and the chanel charm is cute but the way the bag constructed I am not sure if I am willing to pay xx amount of dollars to it. I tried the black one with white emblem and the coral color. And my bf who doesn't care about bags and doesnt understand my obsession with bags whispered to my ear while we're at the boutique and told me it looks like a hefty bag and joke that he can make me one for 50$ 😒. Also I saw another video here in TH-cam where the chanel emblem logo falling off and I can tell you why it's because it looks like they just hammered them to the leather (kinda like them studs) and it feels like it doesn't really have anything to reinforce the CHANEL emblem so over time it will loosen it up. Check Romina's video she talked about it. Like Cassie said I don't hate it but I dont love it either. Do I want to pay over 5k for it? no. Half of the price maybe. Instead of Chanel 22 I got myself a Bvlgari bag with top handle in karung leather the quality is superb and I get so many compliments.
I wanted to come and write first like a 14 year old but I’ve been beaten 😭 Also, haven’t watch the video yet but Chanel 22 is only nice in very specific shades & for specific styles (like Romenia’s) . I think people are mainly into because it’s Chanel, they should launch a sanitary pad shaped bag and people would buy it

When I first saw this bag on her channel I was so confused. I can’t get over how the Chanel letter are just plopped on there and the shape is just something else. It’s def liked only because of the name. Everyone’s talking about protesting Chanel yet in reality they’re just ran girling over some very mediocre bags
I actually 100% agree with all of these. That Chanel 22 is truly terrible. I picture the designer laughing while drawing it up saying they will pay thousands for it because it's Chanel! (Side note I do like the Prada because I am a sucker for fishnet but the bag should be under $1k).

Totally agree with you on the Chanel 22. It's just a bin bag to me. I also hated it less after seeing the quality of the leather and such.
But overall it gives me the vibe of lazy design. Chanel knows how much the brand is loved, so why bother making so many efforts to create great designs? Lots of ppl would still purchase Chanel bags no matter how bad-looking they could be.

Will admit, I love my large palm leaf and leather Loewe bag. First Loewe bag I have had and I’m obsessed. Tbh, use it mainly for the beach clubs, taking on staycations and such but love the fact you can throw shit in it and concentrate on the important things in life… like an Aperol Spritz 😄🍹

I have to agree with you for the Chanel 22 bag, it does look cheap, and with that price! I am amazed that people are actually liking it🙄. As for Goyard, I adore the saigon bag!! It might look stiff and "too formal" ish but it depends who carry it and how they style the whole outfit. I am very andrygynous and very casual and the bag fits with my style. It is under the radar and not as common as Hermes which I love.
