I just received two radios. They are exactly as pictured; cast metal case with a plastic battery. The battery is held in with 2 screws. You have the optional longer screws that will include a belt clip. The front speaker cover has not brand identification nor does any part of the radio. The illuminated screen is in English. It takes some trial and error to figure which buttons in the side to push. The side has 3 buttons and the barrel knob on top controls the volume with a press PTT button on top. There is a stubby antenna on the top right. There is a white plastic washer beneath the antenna that illuminates flashing green with power on. Without a SIM card the radio will keep saying “Check Sim Card.” This same white plastic washer will illuminate steady red when off and charging and steady green when fully charged. The EBay “Description” indicates a year of “Real PTT” is provided but the data card is not included. I’m waiting for details before I get a SIM card and service. These are specifically operated on a 4G cellular service so there is no typical radio to radio Walkie-talkie service. While there are other radios out there with better or multiple capabilities, these have a “Cool Factor” with their looks. I have yet to operate these but do wish these had a walkie talkie capability or a UHF function. But still they have a heft and cool look.

You can get a sim critical sim card for 40 pound for an entire year giving you priority access to all networks that support POC radio systems.. or you can get a local operators sim card that supports POC systems.. Mine is on EE In the UK until I sort out the SiM Critical one..
I agree with you on the poor instructions, took me some figuring out but I like to mess about with stuff..
It's definitely worth the time I spent messing around with it..

Well sort of, basically it's a wi-fi enabled radio so if you are out of range on the UHF radio it will switch, it's really more like a UHF radio with zello if you like, PTT on cell phones would require the cell network to support that feature and most don't because that part of the band is used to carry text messages.

Yes, it would be. And you would have to have a battery of corresponding size/ma's to accommodate that. If we're talking the little gizmo that is the subject of this video, the battery capacity can't be more than 1,000ma. Technology does exist for ultra high capacity in ultra small packages, but we're talking BIG $$$. And these people aren't developing gear for NASA !
The only handy talkie/portable radio that actually looks like it would put out 10/15 watts on UHF & VHF (15 watts is claimed) is the Baofeng AR-152 which I had NOT seen in the U.S. yet. Battery capacity is claimed as 12,000 ma and is several 18650 lith.Ion batteries in the battery case. I don't know if they are replaceable. I have not yet seen any videos of someone having put on the bench for testing, nor any "field" tests either.

@@baronedipiemonte3990 yea, that 15 watt baofeng is giant! At that size I’ll just get a 25 watt mobile rig and run whatever size battery I want on it. Lol.

Is it chinese Watts!. the 10W being 4W if lucky like my crap baofengs I had. 8W and both where hardly 3 on 2m and 3 times the price of the well know £25 one!. they do look nice, small.

I've got to the point where I cut the watts in half. If Baofeng says a radio is 10 watts, I'll expect 5 ! Of course many Japanese/Indonesian radios are less than spec as well. Just not as bad
