"Final Approach" - An Original Composition - Nintempo

So this is a little unusual for me, I guess. This is a song I originally wrote the beginnings of back in 2017, but which I only felt compelled to finish and confident enough in to share recently. It's intended to represent a lone hero's final approach towards the villain while battered by the elements and encompassed by foreboding architecture. I wanted to capture the fear but also include moments of repose and reflection, as well as a feeling of triumph and readiness at the end as the hero comes face to face with the villain.
The main inspirations for this song was the Hyrule Castle theme from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and the castle themes from basically every 2D Mario game.
Since reworking it recently, I also was inspired by the Ganon's Tower theme from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for the organ part, and to be perfectly honest, the organ arpeggio patterns are almost the exact same but mixed up and in a different key so I can't really claim that part as my own. I was stuck where I couldn't figure out a better sounding way of doing it while still referencing Kondo's work, so that's why it ended up that way, lazy though it may be. The switch to an "A Theme - B Theme - A & B Theme" format for the final version was suggested by a friend and inspired by John Williams' work, particularly the Imperial March.
I also included the original version of the song. Please bear with the monotony and ear-grating portions. As you might hear, some bits like the horn part and the final bit before the loop were left out in my final version.
There are still quite a few songs which I only began partially that I'm interested in returning to since I liked their melodies. I may upload these from time to time in a similar format to this with the new version and original afterwards, but ultimately my main focus is still going to be video game remixes/orchestrations/reimaginings.
