Hi Tom, thank you for your question. As sold, the SUperLight jungle Hammock measures around 40cm x 12cm x 12cm. The diameter can be cinched in further than this using the compression sack however! Hope this helps :)
What kind of hanging angle should the webbing be. I have always thrived to use a 30o hang, but I heard that you needed to hang this hammock at less of an angle?
Im looking to buy this hammock but am a bit confused. You say there is one waterproof layer that you use on top, does that mean that the hammock it self is not waterproof? Will i get a wet ass if i take this out in the rain ?
Hi Casper! The hammock has two built in layers which are breathable, but it's only the 3rd layer which is the waterproof and detachable - so you can choose if you want to keep it underneath or over the top for additional cover. You can also use the waterproof layer for bivi camping if that was something you wanted to do. But this is the only waterproof layer of the hammock. Hope this helps, Caroline
@@casperm513 The hammock is weatherproof but if you're planning on using it in conditions where there might be a lot of rain or strong winds we'd recommend using a tarp for additional cover. Best, Caroline
My question is what size for a sleeping mat you would recommend? I heard that you usually use a small size sleeping mat for a hammock, however for the alternative bivvy setup I would rather carry a large one?
Hi Kevin! The mat used for the hammock would also be fine for use with the bivvy, rather than carrying two with you. Our DD Inflatable Mat and the XL size model would both do the job, whichever way the hammock was being used. It really comes down to personal preference if a larger mat is desired for the bivvy 😊
Hi, how does this hold up in high wind/rain? I want to sleep outside in SE Asia for a few months and it'll be getting into monsoon season towards the end of my trip. Thanks.
It ought to hold up fine in high wind/rain but we strongly recommend pairing it with a full-size tarp to ensure coverage around the sides and base, nobody wants windblown rain getting underneath!! - Jocasta
I have got this hammock, why are there two eyelets on the part where the mosquito net poles click in to. also I had got the DD under blanket , what are you supposed to clip the under blanket along the sides? thanks
+Wild Camper Not necessarily! I recommend 2 onto the suspension cord, 1 onto each black strap. The Underblanket is pretty adaptible and adjustable with its cords, so with a bit of tweaking you should be able to attach it somehow! Jocasta
You don't necessarily need to use every cord on the Underblanket, but they can be attached wherever you can find something to attach them to :) Jocasta
Hi Paul - that's right, you can attach the DD Underblanket using the side tabs or the suspension on eaither end. The Underblanket can actually be attached to any hammock via the suspension - as long as it is cinched in tight using the drawcord it will be just as effective. Hope this helps! Ewan - DD Hammocks

What are the approximate dimensions of the whole system when packed and cinched down in the provided sack?

Hi Robert.
We recommend to use 20o to 30o hang with our Superlight Jungle hammock! Hope this helps,

@@ddhammocks2418 so if i keep it over me for the Rain then the lower part Will be wet in the Rain?
@@casperm513 Ah no, this shouldn't be the case. The rain will run off the canopy when used as the top cover to stop you from getting wet! Caroline

Is the hammock fully "hang ready" in the package, or do you need extra ropes or something to set it up properly?
Hi Boris - this hammock is ready to set up straight out of the bag. No extra attachments or suspension needed :)

Weight capacity?

For a 3-in-1 system including hammock, mesh tent, and rain cover, 1.5kg is pretty light.
