Hockey gear is meant to last. The only reason I’d replace something is if it is beyond repair. I’m fortunate to have companies sending me gear though so I do have some newer stuff 😁
Hi Coach Jeremy. I played beer league hockey for 20 seasons from 1997 to 2017. My team's name was Frozen In Time. Our crest had an old school clock with the two hammers and the bell. The clock has icicles on it. My friend Nathan drew the crest. I wore #18 because I scored my first beer league goal at the 18:00 mark of the third period in my first game (I wore 67 my first game but changed it to 18 after and always wore it from then on).
Pacific Rink is the best bag I’ve ever purchased. The pond and player, so much so I saved up for a second pond when the camo came available again 😅. Looking forward to the Marsblade vid, I use their off ice wheels.
Coach Jeremy’s videos have been helpful reminding me (after nearly 25 years out of hockey) how to play now in my 40s In the TAHL (Tulsa), I play for 4 teams in my league, this season my full time team is The Cluster Pucks 😂 Thanks to Jeremy for his great videos as I’ve been a top scorer in both seasons I’ve played in this far.

Great video. This video reminded me of forgetting parts of my kids gear, when he grow out of it and i saw that sold the Prodigy set that has the elbow pads attached to shoulder and shin pads attached to pants, they had me sold on that idea.
OMG!! I have the same Tragically Hip shirt as Jeremy. I got mine at a record shop in a mall, but I never saw anybody that had the same shirt ever till now.

Don't buy new equipment just because the velcro wears off. I have (with the help of my spouse) modified elbow and shinguards to the point that they almost don't resemble the Bauer products any longer (shortening strips, adding velcro, adding liquid rubber on the insides to ensure they don't slip at all etc.).
Jeremy you gotta review 3pic hockey, I’ve been running Bauer equipment my whole life from skates to twigs, I used a 3pic twig and it was One of the lightest and most responsive sticks I’ve ever used
The best hockey teams name was my Dads old men’s league team and it was the ” Well Hungarians” and there was an inches sign next to there numbers on the backs 🤣🤣
I am just getting into hockey as and adult for leagues. I am right hand dominate. I bat right handed golf right handed but not sure what hand should be on the top for hockey?
One of our teammates had a mice infestation in his bag one time. Haha. He said his bag was in his garage. Had mice poop all over his gear and some of his gear was chewed up. Felt bad for him at the time cause he had to buy new gear...but now it is pretty funny.
I’ve never played hockey for a team before but I play with kids at my local outdoor rink. I’ve had College hockey players tell me my stick work is insane for someone that’s never played on an actual team

@@CoachJeremy unfortunately some of the new stuff that's brought to market are of inferior quality compared to that just a couple of years ago.
